Yumi's POV:
Every girl writes in her diary about how she waited her whole life for her wedding.
Me,I feel like me and Mingyu already skipped this step and we're already newlyweds.
Our relationship started so quickly after rekindling that everything else felt unnecessary.
We are destined for the moment that is about to begin.
I open my eyes and smile when my younger sister's glowing face is the first face I see in the morning.
"It's your wedding big sis!" She says happily and I smile pinching her cheek.
"You're still my little baby" I say and she whines.
"I'm old enough to drive" she says rolling her eyes.
"Are we really gonna start bickering this early in the hour and on my wedding day?" I ask her and she turns around.
She gives me her back and I pull her closer to me.
"No matter how old you get,you'll always be my little baby" I say nuzzling my head onto her and she fights a little until she gives into my warmth.
I hear a knock on the bedroom door and I lift my head up.
"It's open!" I say and in comes Melody with her bridesmaid robe on.
"It's D-DAY bestie!!" She says and throws herself on us.
Luna groans in annoyance & Melody smacks her arm playfully.
"You're doomed with me for life kid" she says sticking her tongue out at her and Luna returns the favor by sticking her tongue out back at her.
I laugh at the comedic scene playing out in front of me.
"Your mom made breakfast by the way!" Melody says and I close my eyes to inhale the scent of Pork cooking.
She's probably making my grandma's usual breakfast dish.
We all rush downstairs in our robes and to my delight,she is cooking the exact dish my grandma would make her almost every morning.
Sunny side up eggs,fried rice with Pork Strips.
I sit down at the table along the others and wait for the plates to be handed out.
My mom hands me mine first.
I instantly dig in since I'm starving.
-after a while-
We all cleaned up and started getting ready for my special day,my wedding.
It sounds so weird to say it out loud,MY WEDDING.
Me & Mingyu will be husband and wife after today.
It's nothing different than our usual daily life,only the major fact that changes it all is that we are fully committed to each other starting today and forever.
As I stand in front of a large mirror as my mother zips the zipper of my dress up,I can't help but wonder what would've happened if he never found me again?
What would've happened if our paths didn't cross each other that random yet fateful day?
So many questions form in my head but the muffled gasps of both my mother and my soon-to-be mother in law who doubles as my godmother.
I snap out of it quickly and look into the mirror in amusement to see why they're gasping so much.
I nearly tear up at the sight.
My dress,adorned with lace down to the veil which matches it.
It's so beautiful,I hardly wear much white outside of today so seeing me in such a ethereal color made me glow in happiness.
"You look...so beautiful" I hear my mom say behind me.
"Thank you ma.." I say trying not to cry.
Luckily my face is still bare because my makeup artist is going to cover my dress with a towel so no fall out makeup falls on top of my beautiful white gown,it would look so obvious the possible stain of brown or red on this dress.
So I wipe my tears away with ease as they fail me and slide down my cheeks.
I tried my best to stay strong but the tears became a waterfall,the look on both my father & Mingyu will be worth a million dollars.
My father will be in shock and Mingyu will probably either cry out of joy or run down the alter and kiss me right at the entrance.
I snap out of it quickly as I remember I only have 15 minutes left until we leave for the church.
I slip on my white rhinestone studded heels and I cringe slightly from the discomfort forming at the back of my ankle.
"I packed bandaids and a pair of white Nike's" Luna says to me and I smile faintly.
She knows me so well,I wouldn't survive a whole day in these heels.
Let alone any heels,I struggle with wearing heels on a daily basis...today is no different.
I grab my mom's hand as she helps me down the steps as we start heading to the car that is parked downstairs waiting for us.
The only factor is,there's thousands of cameras flashing at me as I walk down the steps.
"Excuse me! Privacy much?" Melody screams at the paparazzi and they all leave after she flips them off.
"Well you'll be on the cover of People Magazine." I say to her rolling my eyes and she sighs.
"Whatever..they need to learn their boundaries! It's your wedding day!" She says.
"If any photos leak,we can sue you know that right?" She adds and I nod silently.
I get in the car alongside Melody,Mila & Luna.
We close the car door until Dahlia & Yaeji bang on the door and we open it.
We laugh as we almost forgot about them.
"Where were you guys at?" Mila asks Dahlia.
"We went to grab snacks for you guys,looks like you guys didn't really need them" Dahlia says pouting which makes her look even more adorable than ever.
I coo at her and pinch her cheeks.
"Stawppp!" She whines and I laugh.
-after a while-
We arrive at the church.
it's a quiet yet beautiful area where the church is at.
There's nothing more breathtaking than looking at the stained glass painting windows as I walk into the church through the back way.
There I meet up with the rest of the bridesmaids who are waiting with some of the groomsmen.
They swear not to spill a word to Mingyu about how I look so he'll be totally surprised.
I sneak into a small room as I wait for my official entrance.
The room has a window that looks out but you can't see in.
I watch as the music starts,the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down the aisle and get to their spots.
Daemin walks down the aisle with Moon as they are the ring bearers and I watch as a baby cousin of Mingyu's walks down the aisle to spill out flower petals as she walks.
Barely 4 years old but is as sassy as can be,I rub my growing belly in anticipation for our little one soon.
I'm praying for a baby girl but Mingyu isn't picky.
I shouldn't be either,however I've had a strong feeling this baby is a girl.
Ever since I found out I was pregnant,I instantly felt it.
The music starts again this time,the organ alerting everyone I'm coming through those white marble doors.
Everyone stands up as my mom comes to grab me.
I look behind her to see my dad behind her and we link arms together.
The doors open and I slowly walk out to be greeted with gasps and cheers.
I look up slightly to see the man of my dreams waiting for me at the end of the altar.
He's staring at me and I'm staring back at him.
Realization hits that this is the day I've secretly waited for my entire life.
I never felt more safe in those broad strong arms of his,I never felt love like his before.
Before him,kisses meant nothing.
Hugs were simply something I shared with my parents and close friends.
Before him,words like "Babe", "Honey", "Princess" never melted my heart like they do now.
He drives me crazy with the most simplest things.
He lifts me up when I'm down,he comforts me when I need it.
He's the love of my life.
I mutter those words to him every night before we fall asleep but they never felt more true than today.
As we get closer to him,I feel my heart beating out of my chest.
Could this finally be the day I'll be Mrs. Kim?
Apparently so,yet it's so wild to picture this being real.
It's like I'm living in a dream that I don't wanna wake up.
I approach the altar and my dad turns me to the side.
He kisses my hand before lifting the veil away from my face and I tear up seeing his eyes full of tears.
Threatening to leave his eyes,he fights back until I put my hand on his cheek to comfort him.
"My Princess is all grown up" he says before bursting into tears of joy.
He kisses my forehead before turning me to my mom who plants a kiss on my forehead.
She hands me over to Mingyu and walks my dad to the front to sit down.
Mingyu is in pure awe looking at me.
"You look beautiful" he mouths and I smile blushing.
"You look handsome" I mouth back and we lock hands.
"Dearly beloved,we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Yumi Amora Jeon & Mingyu Eli Choi-Kim" the priest starts.
"If anyone objects to this union,speak now or forever hold your peace." He says and Melody stands up to look around.
Her eyes sending daggers down everyone's way,as a threat to not interrupt.
Silence rings through the church so the priest carries on..
"Do you Mingyu Eli Choi-Kim take Yumi Amora Jeon as your lawfully wedded wife? For richer or for poorer,for better or for worse,for sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" The priest says to Mingyu.
"I do." Mingyu says smiling with tears building up in his eyes.
He squeezes my hand and kisses it.
"Do you Yumi Amora Jeon take Mingyu Eli Choi-Kim to be your lawfully wedded husband? For richer or for poorer,for better or for worse,for sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" The priest asks me and I nod since the words can't seem to spill out.
Knowing we can't move on without a verbal confirmation,despite my emotions taking over leaving me speechless.
"I do." I say as my voice trembles.
My eyes tearing up as I watch Mingyu look at me with nothing but love in his eyes.
Not one dry eye in the church as I hear sniffles.
"Repeat after me." The priest tells Mingyu.
"With this ring,I be wed." He tells him and Mingyu repeats it to me as he slides the wedding ring on my finger.
Now it's my turn,I grab the ring from Moon & Daemin.
"With this ring,I be wed" I say smiling ear to ear.
"By the power invested in me...I now pronounce you,husband and wife." The priest says smiling as me and Mingyu's faces light up knowing it's finally the time to kiss each other.
We've been staying away from each other for 2 weeks which has been killing both of us slowly.
Until today.
"You may kiss the bride" the priest says gesturing to Mingyu to kiss me.
Minggyu lets go of my hands and cups my face before kissing me passionately.
I kiss him back and my leg goes up out of reflex.
My body heats up and he carries me out of the church.
As he carries me outside to place me in the car so we can head to the reception hall to party the night away.
Everyone chases us outside and wait for me to throw the bouquet.
I smile at him and close my eyes.
I lift the bouquet up in the air and throw it backwards.
I hear screams and shoving around.
I open my eyes and see Melody holding the bouquet happily.
I giggle and Mingyu puts carefully in the car and we drive off waving at everyone.
"Well mister Kim,we are officially married!" I say playing with his hair a little.
"Careful tiger,we have a reception in 20 minutes so we shouldn't mess with each other's hairs" he warns.
"You sound bossy to me.." I pout and he leans in close to me.
"I like it." I add and he smirks.
He kisses me softly.
"I'll remember that tonight" he whispers in my ear which sends shivers down my body.
"Are you sure we can't slip away for a little?" I whine and he chuckles.
"Patience is a virtue princess" he says and I roll my eyes.
"I wanna be impatient for once" I say.
"Once? I clearly remember you're like this on the daily" he says and i flip him off.
He looks at me feigning shock.
"I'll bite that finger off Mrs. Kim" he says and pulls me onto his lap before tickling my sides.
I fight him before succumbing to his attacks.
I laugh hysterically as I'm left to accept his tickling attacks on my sides.
He shoves his head in my neck and kisses my neck.
"I'm so happy to have you as my wife,officially." He says and I smile.
"I'm so happy to be your wife and to have you as my husband and baby daddy" I say placing one of his hands on my belly.
He rubs it and I lean my head back as we relax in the back of the car,we have only 15 more minutes until we reach the reception hall.
After tonight,it's the beginning of forever for us...
I feel like I'm on cloud nine with him holding me in his arms like this...
I never wanna leave his arms,my husband's arms...
Husband,I like the sound of that...
