Yumi's POV:
I tap my foot impatiently as I stand at the last step of my parents's brownstone waiting for my sister to come down the stairs.
I sigh in annoyance when I hear the faint sounds of rain behind me,the one day we plan a girls day at Times Square to shop around...
It happens to be not only the coldest winter night we're currently having,but it's also raining off and on again causing the chill to be way colder than it was expected to be.
I'm here bundled up in layers of clothes + a heavy sweater with a heavy coat on top of it.
"LUNA! Where the hel-"
"I'm coming,relax..." she says running down the stairs with only a small jacket on.
"You are not going out like that-" I say eyeing her outfit choice.
I'm not against her showing her legs or anything,it's the fact it's freezing cold outside and she doesn't have a heavy jacket on is unsettling to me.
"Grab a coat before you catch pneumonia!" I say and she rolls her eyes at me.
"I'm not a child you know" she says placing her hand on her hip.
"You're still in high school though so in my book,you're a child until you graduate!" I say and she groans before walking back into the apartment to grab a coat.
She puts it on reluctantly and comes back downstairs.
We catch a cab since Mingyu's back at classes today,we have barely spent much time together despite living together.
With him trying to prepare for his bar exam & me meeting up with the wedding planner,which is stressful to go through alone.
We barely talk much about anything other than the wedding and his bar exam.
I miss us like how we were before,before any wedding plans..
At times I wish to halt the plans until the end of the year but I know the both of us would want the wedding to happen sooner rather than later in the year.
"Umi? Earth to Umi-"
"Huh? Yeah yeah okay! " I snap out of my thoughts when she taps my leg signaling me it's time to go.
We get out of the cab and walk down 5th Avenue.
It's freezing cold so my bones are praying for some relief already,I rub my hands together to keep warm.
I wore mittens on my hands,it's something i do rarely depending on the day.
Today called for it,even if it ruined the fashion vibe I was going for today..
We step into a MACY'S and my prayer has been answered when I walk into a very warm,very toasty Macy's store.
As soon as we walk in,I'm greeted with the scent of Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent.
Luna rushes over to a big yellow sign with black bold letters saying "CLEARANCE BLOWOUT" and below the sign is about 20 racks of clothing thrown in there.
There's no size charts to help us,since the sizes are all over the place.
Some shirts I pull out extra small,while others extra large.
As we search through the pile of clothes,she starts rambling about school and how the wedding is approaching so fast.
I'm dragging her along to the final fitting for my dress & to speak with the planner about certain final touches for the wedding.
"So...prom is coming soon.." she says avoiding eye contact.
"I should know silly dad said he's your chaperone" I say giggling remembering the light in my father's eyes.
He is so excited to be apart the whole prom thing with Luna since he did it with me and it was epic.
Imagine waltzing in with thee iconic Jeon Jungkook.
The dance floor was all to ourselves and we were dancing up a storm.
I smile thinking about it and I'm snapped back to reality once again when Luna silently taps my shoulder.
"Actually...that's what I wanted to talk to you about" she says biting her lip nervously.
"Ok? What's wrong?" I ask her growing concerned.
"I wanna go alone." She blurts out abruptly.
She watched my reaction carefully.
"Excuse me alone? Who's gonna drive you?" I ask her and she rolls her eyes as it's the reaction she didn't want.
"You really didn't think that I wasn't going to drop you off at your senior prom?" I ask crossing my arms while raising a eyebrow at her.
"It's just...I don't want my date getting embarrassed" she says biting on her lip more aggressively.
It's a nervous tick me and my siblings have,when we're nervous we bite our lips or our nails.
"Embarrassed by who? Me?" I ask her and she puts her head down signaling the answer I dreaded to hear.
"Wow you really think I would embarrass you at the last prom of your high school life?-"
"Umi I swear it's just for one night,she can be trusted-" she blurts out and I look at her with a eyebrow raised.
"So it's a girl?" I ask her smiling at her.
"Maybe..." she says avoiding eye contact.
"Well I guess,but I'm still driving you both there." I say sternly and she smiles big.
She hugs me tightly.
"Thank you Umi! You're the best big sister in the world!" She says excitedly and I nod smirking.
[ after a while ]
As we walk down the sidewalk with our hands full.
people with heavy shopping bags like us walk by and stare at us which I shrug off.
"So..is she from your school?" I blurt out wanting to get to know the mysterious date that was taking my sister to the prom.
"Yeah...we met during Biology class" she says blushing.
"Awh you like her don't you?" I ask her giggling when she see her hide her face in embarrassment and refuses to look at me.
"Does she like you?" I ask her and she stays quiet.
"I haven't told her...I know she likes girls,I just discovered-"
"Lu,it's okay! You're discovering yourself,it's normal! Humans are capable of loving many different people in this life. So love who you wanna love,I'll never judge you." I say and she hugs me tightly.
I see a small teardrop slip past her eyes and fall down onto her cheek.
I wipe it and kiss her forehead.
"You know I'll always love you and support you no matter what right?" I tell her and she nods silently.
"Always." I say and hold her tightly in my arms.
"Sydney." She blurts out but it sounds muffled.
"Huh?" I ask her and move away so she can breathe.
"Her name is Sydney,she prefers being called Syd" she says and I smile.
"Any person my sister likes will have to go through me first,so..." I say teasing her and she hits my arm playfully.
"You wouldn't dare! You're pregnant so you better not wrestle with her!" She says before rubbing my growing belly softly.
I look down and sigh.
"What's wrong?" She asks me.
"I can barely see my feet at this point" I say rolling my eyes and she pouts.
"You look great to me though" she says and I waddle closer to her.
"You're adorable baby sis" I say pinching her cheek.
"I'm no baby!" She whines in annoyance and rolls her eyes.
I laugh and we make it back to the apartment so we can drop off the bags and then go over to the wedding planner's apartment in Upper Manhattan!...
[ at the wedding planner's apartment ]

we arrive to the front door of the large extravagant apartment building,I shake my head in disbelief.
There's no way only one person lives in this whole brownstone by herself?
The door opens and I see Blair,our wedding planner throughout the whole wedding journey.
Her face lights up seeing me and glances over at Luna who's stuck at the hip now since it's a new person and a new environment for her.
"Sister?" She asks me and I nod.
"Younger sister to be exact. It's her first time coming here so don't mind her" I say as I notice my sister's small twitches of her hand which means she's nerved up.
I grab both of her hands and try to reassure that she's safe and she's with me.
She smiles faintly and throws herself in my arms which I hold onto her tightly before patting her head.
"It's all good kiddo c'mon.." I say and slowly walk her in.
The scent of cranberry fills my senses.
I close my eyes & let out a sigh of relief.
"Like the smell? I got it 50% off on the after Christmas sale!" Blair says giggling and brings a paper filled with different flowers.
"So one of the final arrangements is your floral arrangement,we already settled the bridesmaids and the party decor overall but your bouquet has yet to be planned at all..." she says passing me some of the papers.
I look down to see a long list of different flowers starting from gorgeous roses all the way to delicate soft baby's breath flowers.
Luna looks down at the paper too,she hasn't spoken since we stepped foot in the apartment.
Which doesn't bother me in the slightest since she struggles with social anxiety and it's rare for her to be around new people like this.
She usually panics and will hide wherever she finds comfort in.
But the good news is she isn't hiding but she is staying close to me.
Watching my every move like a hawk,she's very protective of me and I understand why.
I'm the eldest and I'm her older sister.
She's naturally very attached to me which has never bothered me since I crave the attention she gives me anyway.
It's a match made in heaven.
"The lilies and the baby's breath look..pretty" she says softly and points at the flowers she mentions.
"They do,you have a great eye! baby sis" I say putting my arm around her.
She groans.
"I'm not a baby" she whines almost loudly and I laugh.
Blair giggles watching us and hands us more papers with even more flowers...
What on earth am I going to choose out of all of these beautiful flowers??...
[ after a while ]
I finally make my pick.
A array of romantic roses,peonies,daisies & baby's breath all combined create my bridal bouquet.
After some time alone with Blair with her asking if I'm having a bachelorette party.
"I'm not throwing anything I'm having a small brunch with the entire wedding party,the men and women all together and we're drinking mimosas. We both agreed not to do a bachelor/bachelorette party" I say and she raises a eyebrow at me.
"You wouldn't want possibly a 6 foot tall,muscular man dancing for you while you & your friends go wild with the dancers?" She asks me.
"No,because I have a 6 foot 2,gorgeous tan skinned man who adores the ground I walk on and will literally do a dance or two for me for free.." I say winking and she smacks my arm playfully.
"Naughty! I can see the babies coming already" she says and tense up.
I haven't told Blair about my pregnancy,it slipped my brain in the beginning and I never felt the need to reveal it out loud to her.
But judging by the way she put down her glass of wine,she must've noticed my reaction.
"You're pregnant aren't you?" She asks me smirking.
"W-what? N-no! We don't even have sex!" I blubber and she laughs.
"Okay now I know you're lying! Okay so how many months are you?" She asks me.
"2 months.." I say finally giving in and I put my hands up in surrender.
she smiles big at me and grabs both of my hands.
"I will never reveal confidential info about my clients,you could've told me if you wanted to..I'm not one to judge..I'm a mother myself" she says and I raise a eyebrow at her.
"Really? Who old is the kid?" I ask her.
"13" she says and my eyes widen.
She laughs and pulls out a photo of a 13 year old boy side by side with her in what looks like to be Canada.
"His name is Zander,I had him at 16 and he was something I didn't plan for at all! So I gave him to my parents and finished school...I went to college and started doing what I love for a living. His father lives in Canada and legally Zander is Canadian by birth so I let him live with his father" she says and I stay amazed looking at her.
"Do you miss him?" I ask her.
"A lot. But his father and I make things possible by him allowing me to have him for the summer & the holidays so I don't complain." She says and I smile.
"I had to let him grow up well,New York is all about hustle and bustle...I barely have much of a social life because of all the work I do on a daily basis. I promised that when I settle myself I'll have him with me,but I have a strong feeling by then he'll be off to college and I'll be still here working.." she says.
"Don't speak like that,he obviously loves you" I say pointing at the photo.
"Hey! It's your wedding time and you're the one making me cry right now!" She says tearing up and fighting the tears.
I hug her and after we chat for a little while longer.
Luna yawns loudly signaling me it's late,I look at the clock and realize it's 10pm and start getting ready to leave.
I open the door and it's even more colder than when we started our day in the city.
We haul it back to my apartment and I'm greeted by Mingyu & my parents who have been waiting for Luna.
Mingyu grabs me tightly and kisses me firmly on the lips.
"Whoa- I missed you too mister" I say smirking when I feel his hands travel and I stop him since I remember my parents are still in the room.
After handing Luna off to my parents and they leave the apartment.
Silence fills the once loud apartment,I throw myself on the sofa.
Still wearing my layers and warm socks.
Mingyu walks up to me with a bowl of warm Mac & Cheese and I smile.
"Couldn't cook much since I just got here myself" he says and I smile.
I pull him closer and he brings his bowl over.
I scoop up some liquid gold on my spoon and gulp it down.
I nearly moan from the taste of the cheese and proceed to continue eating.
After eating our small yet comforting dinner..
We sit at the sofa snuggled up in each other's arms.
"It was so cold outside babe" I say nuzzling my head in his shoulder.
"Wanna warm up?" He asks me with a devious smirk on his face.
"Is that the first thing that comes to your mind mister?" I ask him and he sticks his tongue out at me.
"You made like this ma'am" he says teasingly.
"I prefer baby" I say before kissing him passionately...
The cold I once felt,slowly drifts away with the warmth of his arms and his love...
I can't wait to be officially Mrs. Kim....

They visit Mingyu & Yumi's wedding planner who reveals some details of her own young life.
Mingyu struggles to balance school and their relationship which is reaching a whole other level.
We then see the pair exchange a sweet moment towards the end.
Wedding bells are almost near!
