Yumi's POV:
Today's the day,the day of my audition.
I'm hoping to join my school's drama club.
my palms are sweaty at the fact this day arrived so quickly.
I've spoken it over with my parents plenty of times but nothing can beat the stage fright living inside of me.
I start to hum quietly in the corner of my room trying to calm myself down,because of my anxiety I haven't gotten dressed yet.
I'm stuck in my rabbit printed polka dot cami set on the floor with my hair in a messy bun.
Mingyu finds my buns cute? But I find them horrible in my opinion.
there I go distracting myself to cope.
I text Mingyu quickly,my fingers scrambling as I type out a mini paragraph.
"Umi💗: hi babe,today's the big day do you have any words of encouragement? bc I'm so stressed out rn.."
I wait for a response and luckily he answers back faster than the speed of light.
"Mingi💋: hi baby! good luck my little movie star! you got this! I know you do,I know you better enough for you to get any stage freight..imagine I'm in the crowd and have the image of me in your head"
A wide smile forms on my face and I wipe away a tear that rolls down my cheek.
The memory of our last "sleepover".
Mingyu sneaks in during the weekends and we cuddle together until 5am that is when he escapes before my parents catch him and I in the same bed.
We don't do anything past kissing & cuddling.
It would still look suspicious however if we were ever caught.
In. MY. Bed.
"Umi! Your audition is in 30 minutes!" My mom shouts from downstairs and I snap back to reality.
I rush to get dressed and at this point,what is makeup?
I never heard of her.
I throw on some lipgloss as I walk down the stairs after shoving myself into dark denim jeans and a long sleeved turtleneck.
Unlike the other girls at school,I don't wanna risk catching a cold just because I want to look stylish.
I finally reach the final steps and slip on my black combat boots.
My parents are already dressed and waiting for me to finish up.
I grab my purse and we head out.

Emma's POV:
I pace back and forth in the empty women's  bathroom stall,pondering if I should even bother myself with this but I have to know the answer of this test.
we skipped a few steps haven't we?
Me & Ezra started to get serious recently and I thought we were really being careful.
Until I realized I missed my period and I haven't been craving much food lately due to me feeling nauseous half of the time.
I can't tell my parents because they will literally kill me.
They haven't met Ezra yet,due to the fact he's the exact type of guy they don't want me to date.
So I haven't introduced them to each other,but if the answer of this test comes out with a different result I might have to spill my guts after all.
I finally get bold and rush over to the bathroom counter.
I look down at the pregnancy test in my hand.
2 tiny pink lines & a plus sign on it.
the words | PREGNANT | appearing in bold black font before I can evaluate the situation.
I drop to the floor and start crying.
This isn't going according to plan whatsoever.
I haven't told Yumi I won't be attending the Penn State after all,I was denied despite all my hard work and excellent grades.
With that plan gone to hell,I was hoping I wasn't pregnant.
I'm 17 turning 18 next month and this is the last thing I was expecting.
I can't take it anymore.
I reached my breaking point.
"Ems💕: hey Umi! please call me when you can it's urgent!"
I wait and tap my foot impatiently.
luckily she texts back.
"Umi👑: I'm the car otw to my audition for drama club. meet me there?"
I nod and I remember how much she worked to try to get this audition day.
I wrap the pregnancy test up and stuff it away.
I throw water in my face and decide to text Ezra.
I mean it's the best thing I can do,he is the father after all.
We have to figure out what we are gonna do next...

Hi everyone it's Reina here!
I wanna thank you guys for all the love & support on this series!
We're now on Book 3 and it's about Yumi's teenage years.
In this chapter,we see Yumi trying to break out of her shell and take a leap of faith by auditioning for her school's drama club which is something she wanted to do for a long time.
We also see Emma,one of Yumi's friends and Melody's second best friend.
Who is dealing with the growing pains of getting older,a note to be added here is that Emma is one of the older high school kids that befriended Yumi & Melody.
So that's why she's put down as 17 years old and the reason college is mentioned.
In this chapter we see Emma also discover the shocking reality,which is that she's pregnant.
This chapter was really hard to write,it took a while to write due to the fact I've been suffering from writer's block recently!
But I'm back and we only have 6 chapters left in this book.
😭they grow up so fast!😭
