She was blind once again.

They took the goggles away to run tests on it. Luckily, they decided to take then away at night so that it was more convenient for her.

She was not used to it after being able to see for a few days.

She was exhausted after undergoing tests and examinations and questions without much rest for the whole day.

She was relieved to be in the room and the silence was comfortable. As she gripped the railing tightly and made her way, slowly but surely, to the bed, her thoughts drifted to her goggles.

It had happened again- more frequently this time.

She did not know what had really happened. Wasn't the goggle alright yesterday? Didn't they say that they fixed it?

She had no idea what was going on and it was killing her. The app glitched and she was kicked out of it. It denied her access for a few minutes before the phone restarted. The process repeated a few times.

After seeing the diverse colours that painted the world and rendered the world interesting, the thought of seeing only one colour made her heart heavy and tears well up in her eyes.

She didn't want to see pitch black or darkness ever again.

She felt like Kyoko from Stray Wolves.

Kyoko had once said, "Why show me the light? Why give me hope if I am meant for darkness."

Why show her the many colours in life? Why give her happiness and hope that she could see those colours for the rest of her life if the goggles were to fail?

She burried herself in her pillow and a lone tear rolled down her cheek.

Those volumes of manga. I won't be able to read it unless they manage to fix it. They might be able to fix it! If they fixed it the first time, they should be able to now! I must have hope. A tiny flame of hope ignited in her.

She forced herself to think of a scenario where she could see again. She tried to convince herself that they would be able to fix it. That flame of hope grew a bit bigger.

She heard someone knocking. She wiped her tears on the pillow and allowed the person to enter.

"Hello, Sora-chan."

"Hi, Yachi-chan."

"Erm...how are you feeling?"

"I don't know. Everything's just so..."

"It's going to be alright. They will fix it."

"What if they don't?"

"I'm sure they will. If they manage to fix it yesterday, they should be able to now! The doctors here are really good at what they do so I think the chances of failing aren't high."

"Well, you're right. But I'm so scared of not being able to see again..." Sora said, sounding unconvinced.

"I guess we just have to trust the doctors. I'm sure they can fix your goggles."

Sora spent some moments deep in thought before nodding, I guess you're right."

As time passed by, she convinced herself that everything would be alright. She hoped against hope that the goggles would be fixed. She prayed that she would be able to see colours other than pitch black.

The next day, Doctor Mitsuha entered her room and led her to another room with Doctor Taki and another lady who introduced herself as Doctor Ritsu.

"We have some news for you."
