Hello! I have some good news!

Today, during lessons, I noted that Doctor Mitsuha seemed happier today. A smile was plastered on her face for almost the whole lesson.

I noticed something on Doctor Mitsuha's hand shining under the light.

"What's on your hand?"

"Oh! That's a ring!"

"This is the first time I've seen it. Who gave it to you? Did you buy it?"

"Someone gave it to me."

The ring had some kind of shiny object on it. It was circular and silver coloured?

At that moment in time, Doctor Taki entered the room and I caught sight of another ring glinting under the light.

"Eh? You have a ring too?"

Doctor Taki raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, why not?"

Doctor Taki seemed to be different today too. Usually, he looked like he was half-asleep and had messy, disheveled hair. But today, his hair was neater and he looked more alert.

Their rings were also on both their ring fingers.

"Wait...did something good happen? You're acting weird today."

Doctor Mitsuha and Doctor Taki exchanged glances with each other and smiled.

"Eito...how do I put it in easier terms..." Doctor Mitsuha trailed off.

"It's okay! What's the good news?"

After hesitating for a moment, Doctor Mitsuha finally replied,"Doctor Taki and I are getting married."

"WHAT?! REALLY?! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED?!"

Doctor Mitsuha plaved a finger to her lips and tried to silence me.

"We haven't really told most of the people yet. And you're not being considerate for the others in the hospital!"

Doctor Mitsuha and Doctor Taki's faces were painted with a tinge of pink.

Seeing their faces made me burst into laughter- it wasn't every day that you saw adults blushing or even being flustered.

"Okay! Remember to invite me to your wedding!"

"Yeah yeah, we will. Anyway, back to lessons," Doctor Mitsuha chased Doctor Taki out.

"By the way, we will be taking you out to the outside world again. There are some things we need to show you."

I could feel my mouth stretching into a smile.

"Yes! I'm excited for this! Can I invite Yachi-chan too?"

Doctor Mitsuha nodded. "We'll be going in an hour's time. I'll meet you at the ground floor, near the main entrance."

Wait... the screen shows that it's 11.19! Crappykawa! I'm going to be late!

*knock*

"Sora-chan, we're going to be late!"

"Coming!"

As soon as the doors slid open, Sora and Yachi rushed out of the lift and weaved through the people on the ground floor. They arrived at the main entrance and caught sight of Doctor Mitsuha who stared at them with eyes that seemed to look into their souls. Her intense gaze made the twk feel uncomfortable.

"I'm sorry for being late- I lost track of time..." Sora apologised as she bowed.

"It's okay- we aren't in a rush. But remember- being late is one of the rudest things you can do to a person because you're wasting their precious time. Now, let's go!" Doctor Mitsuha's stern look was immediately replaced with a relaxed and excited one.

"We're here."

"Akihabara!" Yachi and Sora exclaimed.

"The two of you enjoyed this place so much when we first visited this place so I decided to take you here."

They entered some kind of building with many machines emitting loud sounds.

Sora and Yachi widened their eyes and took in their surroundings.

There were people sitting in some kind of booth, concentrating on the machines' screens or sitting on chairs with goggles like Sora's, doing something.

Those goggles looked like the PartyStationVR goggles I read about online. It looks like...those arcades in anime? Wait...so this is a dating spot? No, it can't be- that would be weird.

Yachi tugged at Sora's shirt and pointed at a row of machines.

Isn't that Hatsune Miku?! And Kagamine Rin and Len?! Oh. My. God! It's Project Diva Arcade!

The two glanced at each other and approached the row of machines.

"Let's play!"

After playing and eating ramen at a store, the three hopped onto a train to the Tokyo Skytree.

On the ride, Yachi and Sora poured over a few volumes of manga that they had bought to read.

Upon arriving at the station, they caught sight of the magnificient tower in blue and white.

The light flashed green. Sora looked up at the Skytree as she walked.

Suddenly, everything went black.

Darkness.

She couldn't see anything. She heard horns blaring around her. People were shoving her around and then she felt nothing.

She could feel her jaw drop and her heartbeat get faster.

Questions and thoughts scurried past her mind and made her head hurt.

What happened?

Is it a glitch?

It was strangely quiet for a road that was so busy while they were waiting for the light to turn green.

She tried to calm herself down by pinching herself. She had to get to the other side of the road! She could get knocked down if she didn't do anything!

But to no avail.

Instead, her heartbeat seemed to increase in speed and was like the beating wings of a hummingbird. 

What should I do?

Just then, a hand grabbed her arm and dragged her  to somewhere. She heard cars moving and engines roaring.

"Sora! What happened?" Doctor Mitsuha sounded angry.

"Are you alright?" Yachi's voice sounded like honey compared to Doctor Mitsuha's.

"I...I....I can't see..." Sora stuttered. She could still hear her rapid heartbeat.

"What? What do you mean by that?"

"I mean exactly what I said! I can't see anything! I don't know what happened, but the screen is black!"

"Let's go to a less crowded place."

Sora felt herself being led to somewhere and was forced to sit down on a bench.

Doctor Mitsuha took the goggles off Sora and examined it.

"Weird...it's still switched on, but you aren't in the camera app."

"B-but! I didn't touch it," Sora mumbled as she supported her head with her hands.

"Oh! There's only four percent left. Maybe it's because of that. Anyway, we should get this checked."

"Hello? Taki-kun? Are you free? Can you pick us up at Tokyo Skytree? Something happened to Sora-chan's goggles. Okay, thanks."

"Doctor Taki will be here soon."

Sora paid no attention to Doctor Mitsuha's words. The only thing on her mind was what had happened just then. That feeling of helplessness and panic would scar her.

One thought was on her mind.
