Mikey was never supposed to be found snooping through the files in Andy Hurley's truck that night. 10 pm, he wasn't told to do it. But when Gerard got the call from Patrick Stump with the sound of Mikey's yelling on the other side, panic set into his bones.

"We found your runt of a thief looking through our shit. If you come to the backroad behind my place, I might spare his useless fucking life," Patrick chuckles, and soon after Mikey screams, "Better come quick."

The phone goes quiet and Gerard realizes he's hung up. His eyes go wide. They need to go.

Ray and Gerard arrive at the back alley behind Patrick's–one of the most famous mobsters around–restaurant. He's known throughout the city for his connections to all of the biggest billionaires and celebrities around, as well as his extensive collection of criminals at his disposal. Gerard knew Mikey should never have gone, especially not directly to Patrick's restaurant where he could have been killed or harmed or caught so easily.

When they open the car doors, Mikey is shaking, being held back by Joe and Andy, both of which are much stronger than him. Patrick, Pete, Gabe, and Travis all have guns, big ones. Gerard shuts the door and grimaces. No amount of fighting could get Mikey out of this.

"Glad to see you could make it," Patrick grins, stepping forward so he's close to Gerard–too close. "I was getting worried we'd have to leave Mikey to chew on our bullets. Glad that won't have to happen now, though."

"What do you want from us?" Gerard snarls, "You know we don't have much for you. Nothing you haven't already taken from us."

"Oh," Patrick grins, "There's plenty you haven't given over. Starting with your clients. We get to keep Mikey here for a month, and we will give him back in exchange for your top ten clients, 25% of your earnings next year, and..."

Patrick glances at their car, "That, too. "

"Fuck that, that's too fucking much!" Gerard replies, "Anything else."

Patrick grins, "Would you rather it be your brother's life? You're lucky we're letting him out alive after this."

"I don't... I..." Gerard takes a minute, frustrated and afraid. He doesn't have a choice, "fuck... fine. Deal."

"Great," Patrick grins and shakes Gerard's hand, "We have a deal."

Mikey yells out for Gerard, and tries to fight his way out of the arms of Andy and Joe but he can't and soon enough, he's scrambling to get away as they're dragging him into the back of Patrick's truck and Gabe shuts the back.

"You made a smart decision, Way." Patrick turns and leaves. Gerard looks to Ray. Both of them are afraid for Mikey.
