Family outing

Thank you vocalmichael for this adorable idea.

Ashton-
Ashton had just gotten home on a break from 5 seconds of summer's most recent tour. You figured the day after such a long flight and not getting much sleep for months, he would want to rest. You told the children that night to let him rest the next morning, but that was not what Ashton had planned.

Ashton woke you all up at 7 o'clock in the morning, telling you to get dressed because he had a full day of adventures planned. You and your two kids, Olivia 6 and Liam 9, rushed to get ready. When you were all ready to go, you all piled in the car and started on your family day.

Ashton drove you all to iHop first because he knew his kids were hungry and loved pancakes, then you headed to the pool for a few hours, and your final destination of the day was a beautiful park in the middle of your hometown.

"This was a great day ash, thanks for planning it." You said once you both finally had the chance to sit down.

"What can I say," he shrugged, "I just wanted us all to have an amazing  family day."

You smiled as your daughter walked over. "Daddy will you play hide and seek with us?" She asked innocently.

"Of course," Ashton smiled brightly and began counting. When he reached twenty he jumped up and went to search for your hidden kids.

He found Liam first and tickled him till he was red in the face. "Dad- dad- sto- stop," he choked out between laughs.

When ashton was done tickling Liam he asked, "you wanna help me find your sitter bud? She seems to be a really good hider."

Liam nodded his head and then they went on the look out for Olivia. When the found her she was hidden in a plastic tree trunk under the play ground. "Got you!" Ashton announced and began tickling her too.

Olivia let out a little screech and then began laughing hysterically. The smiles on your family's face brought the widest smile to yours. "And what an amazing day it was,"

Luke-
Luke and you had decided to split up for a while a few weeks ago, you were always fighting and just decided it would be better to take a break. Luke was staying at an apartment he had a few towns over while you stayed in the house you had both shared. Neither of you really planned on getting a divorce without trying to fix the problems you had, but you both thought they might be better solved apart. Your 14 year old daughter Cara, thought otherwise.

She didn't understand how anything could get fixed if you weren't together. She had heard you talking to your friend over the phone about how if marriage counselling didn't work a divorce may be the only solution, and Cara had never been more bitter.

You had gotten her to open back up to you over the last few weeks, but with Luke she was colder than ice. The weekends he had her, only about 30 words escaped her mouth the entire time she was there. Luke couldn't get her to open up no matter what he did, so he decided to try a new method. A family outing.

When Luke told Cara to get ready at 9 o'clock on her first day of Christmas break she was not happy, but she also didn't have the energy to argue so she threw on some clothes and walked into the kitchen.

She grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and was getting ready to pour herself a bowl of cereal when Luke came out of the bathroom and said, "you won't need that, we're going out."

Cara furrowed her eyebrows as to ask, "what do you mean?" And Luke answered her questions with a simple, "dad daughter day."

Cara rolled her eyes and put the bowl up. "When are we leaving?" She asked.

"Whenever you're ready," Luke stated.

"I'm never going to be ready to endure this," she said to herself and rolled her eyes again.

She left the kitchen and got ready. When she was finally ready to leave 45 minutes later, the dad-daughter day began.

The first place they went was IHOP to eat. "So Cara, how's school been?" He asked, trying to make small talk after they ordered.

"Fine," she answered shortly.

"What about track?"

"I quit," she responded.

"Why?"

"So I could do cheer,"

"That's cool! How do you like that?" He questioned

"It's fine,"

"How are your friends? Sarah was it? I like her."

"They're fine," she stated looking out the window.

"How about boys? Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Dad," she said looking back at Luke only long enough to give him a glare.

"What? I'm just wondering," he smiled.

"Can you stop?" She said aggravated.

"Stop what?" He asked.

"Stop with the stupid questions, stop with the fake smiles, stop with the daughter-dad bonding stuff that's not even working, and stop pretending everything is alright. Okay? This is dumb enough as it is so just stop." She stated rudely.

"I'm trying to make everything alright Cara, but I can't do that if you won't work with me."

"Trying to fix everything? Really? Whatever dad, call me when you and mom fix your marriage. Then maybe we can do this ridiculous dad-daughter day," She said standing up from the table and walking out the door.

Luke dropped a 50 on the table and then went running after his stubborn daughter.  "Cara! Cara!" He called looking around for the runway teen. He finally found her on a bench in front of the nearby Walgreens with her head in her hands.

"Cara you can't just-" Luke's sentence was cut short when cara looked up with tears in her eyes. "Oh cars...."

"I'm sorry daddy, I'm so so sorry," she cried into his chest.

"It's okay princess, it's okay."

Calum-
You and Calum had just had your first baby a few months ago and it was finally time to show little Naomi off to the world. You were both very protective of your adorable little daughter, so there weren't very many pictures of her yet, but after six months you both decided it was finally time for the fans to see her.

It was around Christmas time, and a tradition your family had for a very long time was to get pictures of the baby's in a Santa Claus' arms. You and Calum decided to continue that tradition by taking Naomi to the nearby mall to get a few pictures of her in her festive outfit with the Santa there.

You were kind of afraid to take her to such a public place at such a young age, but Calum assured you nothing bad would happen to your baby girl. He was right.

All the fans that were there were so sweet to your baby and they respected the fact they needed to be quiet when speaking to her, you, or Calum. The fans were actually more interested in meeting Naomi than they were Calum and she was absolutely loving the attention.

"I feel like my fans like my daughter more than me," Calum laughed.

"Well she is cuter," you teased giggling at his facial expression, feigning hurt.

"Shut up," he chuckled.

"You know, I'm really glad we did this," you announced leaning into your husbands chest.

"So am I," he smiled squeezing you a bit tighter.

You moved up in the line and another fan approached you.  "Hi Calum, hi Y/N," the teenage girl said.

"Hi love, what's your name?" Calum asked.

"I'm Jessie, and who's this little cutie?" She asked bending down towards your daughter. "Is this pretty girl Naomi?"

"It is," you answered smiling at Jessie.

"She's absolutely stunning, congratulations guys," she smiled.

"Thank you," you and Calum both said at the same time.

"Well I'll let you get back to your family day, have an awesome afternoon. It was so nice to meet you," she stated giving both you an Calum a hug.  "Bye cutie," she waved at your smiling daughter.

You hadn't even realised how close you were to the end of the line until you were next up.  When they finally called you up you and Calum were very excited.  You took Naomi out of the stroller and walked up to 'Santa'.

"And who's this?" He asked.

"This is Naomi," you answered.

"How old is this little cutie?"

"She's six months," Calum answered.

"You ready?" One of the elves called.

You and Calum nodded and leaned down on both sides of Santa's chair after placing smiling Naomi in his arms.  The picture was taken and a copy was given to you for a small charge.

"This day was perfect," Calum said once you all were in the car on your way home.

"Yes it was," you smiled looking at your beautiful family.

Michael-

"Are we there yet?" Your sixteen year old son Connor complained.

"We'll be there when the car stops genius," your 18 year old son Noah responded sarcastically.

"I wasn't asking you Noah,"

"Why were you asking at all? It's a dumb question," Noah responded.

"Shut up," Connor said.

"Don't tell me what to do kid

"I'm not a kid!" Connor argued.

"Guys stop arguing, this is going to be the last time we are all going to be together for a few months and your mother and I would like it to not be miserable," your husband Michael stated.

"I don't see why you guys didn't just let me drive up here," Noah said.

"Because we wanted to spend time with you before you went off to college," you responded.

"I'm going to UNI 4 hours away, not 4 days, it's not like you're never going to see me,"

"Wasn't the whole point of you going to college so we wouldn't have to see you?" Your younger son said in distaste.

"Connor be nice!" You scolded.

"I'm just saying," he responded.

"Guys this is our last trip together for a while, can you please just humor us and try go get along?" Michael begged.

"Fine," both your boys sighed.

"You know what we used to do when you were kids and we would travel?" You asked after a few minutes of silence.

"What?" Noah asked bored.

"We would make up the most random stories. We would each make up a part and put it together to make these funny stories. You boys always had so much fun with that," you reminisced.

"I remember that," Noah smiled.

"Well who's going first?" Connor asked.

"What do you mean?" Michael questioned.

"Well we want this last trip to be like old times, or whatever, right? So who's making up the first part of this story?"  Connor explained.

You smiled so widely your cheeks began to hurt.  "Well why don't you go first C?"

Connor rolled his eyes and sighed, but obliged.  "Fine," he said.  "Um... Okay, Noah was on his way to his first day of college and was having a very boring ride when..." Your son trailed off waiting for someone else to pick up the story.

"When..."

The story continued and got more interesting as time went on.  By the end of the story you had all gotten lost in the woods, fought aliens, became royalty, and made friends with a tribe of Indian vampires.  There were plenty of laughs and much teasing and by the time you all got to the college everyone had a smile on their faces.

"I love you guys," Noah said giving you all hugs. You all said your goodbyes and left with tears in your eyes.
