Calum
I walked around the park with my puppy. I sighed as I lost myself in the nature. Suddenly, a little girl ran up to me.
"Doggy!" she squealed as she started to stroke my puppy.
"Dove, what have I told you about running away?" I looked up to see a stunning man standing there. He picked the little girl up and took her in his arms.
"I am so sorry." He sighed, looking at me.
"It's okay, he's a friendly puppy, she can stroke him." I smiled, making him return it.
"Please, daddy." The little girl spoke. He sighed before putting her down again. She immediately ran to my puppy and started to pet him again.
"So, you new around here?" he asked.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"This is a small town, everyone knows everyone, and I've never seen you here before." He shrugged.
"Ah." I nodded.
"You need someone to show you around?" he asked.
"It depends who's offering." I smiled, making him chuckle.
"I'm offering." He smirked.
"Sure. I would love to be shown around by you and this gorgeous little princess." I spoke, looking at his little girl as she smiled up at me.
"Awesome. Here's my phone number, I'll text you soon." He smirked as he gave me a slip of paper.
"Okay." I smiled.
"Come on, Dove, we need to go, we'll see the nice lady and her dog later." He smiled as he took her hand.
"Bye." I chuckled as they walked away.
"Hey, what's your name?" I shouted.
"Calum, you?" he asked.
"Y/N." I smiled.
Luke
I walked into the ice cream parlour and looked around. I looked in front of me, at the tall guy with his little girl.
"Hey." He smiled.
"Hey." I returned as he went up to order. A moment later, I heard him.
"I have enough change for an ice cream, man, come on." It was the man.
"Sir, we have increased the prices, and you don't have enough, so I can't serve you." The cashier sighed.
"Cut me some slack, I'm in front of my little girl." He groaned.
"I'm sorry, sir, there's nothing I can do." He insisted. I walked forward.
"I'll pay for it." I spoke. The man looked at me.
"No, it's okay, we have ice cream at home." He sighed, looking at his daughter and placing his hand against her hair.
"No, I insist, it's fine." I smiled.
"Are you sure?" he asked, making me nod.
"Thank you." He smiled. He handed his daughter the ice cream and we left the parlour.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"I'm Y/N, what about you?" I asked.
"Luke." He smiled.
"What you did was really nice." He smiled as we walked through the park.
"No bother. I remember how upset I was when I wouldn't get an ice cream when I was her age." I chuckled.
"Daddy, you want a bite?" his daughter asked, innocently holding up the cone.
"Thanks, sweetie." He smiled, leaning down. Suddenly, she shoved it up into his face, making me laugh.
"You should have seen that coming." I laughed.
"Oh, okay, how about you have a bite too?" He chuckled, taking the ice cream.
"No, no, no!" I laughed as he pressed it against my nose, him also laughing at his actions.
"We should do this again some time." He spoke, looking at me.
"Sure, I would love to." I smiled.
"Awesome." He returned.
Michael
I sighed as I heard more shouts coming from next door. Suddenly, blasting music started too.
"That's it." I decided as I pulled on my flannel and stormed next door. I banged my fist against the door. After a moment, it opened and a tall guy with blue hair stood there.
"Hey, how can I help you?" he smiled.
"Hey, I'm sorry to bother you, but your music, or whatever you're playing is too loud, I was wondering if you could turn it down." I spoke.
"Sure." He smiled.
"Daddy, who is it?" my eyes widened as a small boy, no older than four, ran up next to him.
"Go play with your cars, buddy." The man smiled at his son. The boy nodded before running off.
"You have a son?" I asked, making him nod.
"Yeah. His mum and I were stupid when we were younger, and she couldn't care less, but it resulted in the best aspect of my life." He shrugged. I smiled.
"You want to come in?" he asked.
"Sure." I smiled as I walked in.
"So, have you looked after him his whole life?" I asked.
"Yeah. His mum pretty much dumped him in my arms as soon as she gave birth, and then just took off." He sighed.
"Yeah. Well, I mean, it looks like you're doing an amazing job of looking after him yourself, but if you ever need any help, I have experience." I smiled.
"You have kids?" he asked.
"No, but I have lots of younger siblings." I chuckled.
"What's your name, sweetheart?" he smiled.
"Y/N, you?" I asked.
"Michael, nice to meet you." He chuckled.
"And you." I smiled.
Ashton
I knocked on Ashton's door. After a moment, it opened and Ashton's son, Archer, ran out.
"Y/N!" he yelled as he ran into my arms.
"Archer!" I laughed as I picked him up. I looked forward to see Ashton smiling at me.
"Hey, babe." He smiled as he kissed me.
"So, what's for dinner?" I asked.
"I thought Chinese food." He spoke.
"Sure." I smiled as I put Archer down.
"Go get ready for dinner, Arch." He spoke, causing the three-year-old to run off.
"So, is he okay with us being, like, really serious?" I asked as I curled my arms around his waist.
"Of course, he loves you. He wants you to move in." Ashton admitted.
"He's got something for you." He smiled, looking behind me. I turned around and gasped as I saw Archer holding up a beautiful ring.
"Daddy wants to give this to you, he says it'll make you my new mummy." He smiled. I took it gently and ruffled his hair before turning around and looking at Ashton.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Completely." He nodded. I looked down at the ring before sliding it onto my finger.
"Yes." I smiled. He returned it before kissing me passionately.
"We're going to be a family, Archer." Ashton smiled as he picked him up before hugging me.
Calum
I walked into the shop and looked around. I grabbed a basket before starting to make my way through the shop. I picked several items up and put them into the basket. Suddenly, I heard crying. My eyebrows furrowed as I walked into the next aisle and towards the sound. I sighed as I saw a stunning man stood by his trolley, gently ticking the stomach of the baby who was lying in the baby seat attached to the trolley.
"Come on, baby, be quiet for daddy, come on." He sighed, pushing the trolley back and forth. She continued to scream.
"Please, Nat, be quiet, come on, princess." He begged.
"Need some help?" I asked as I walked up to them. He looked up at me.
"You have experience with babies?" he asked.
"Yeah. My sister has three young kids." I nodded. He returned it.
"Yeah. If you can get her to be quiet, I would appreciate it." He smiled slightly. I returned it before putting the basket down and gently picking her up.
"Come on, baby, shh, you're okay." I cooed, holding her against my chest and bopping her up and down. She immediately quietened down slightly as she stuck her fist into her mouth. The man looked at me.
"How did you do that?" he asked. I shrugged as I looked down at the baby.
"Sometimes, babies prefer a woman's touch. Where's her mum?" I asked, looking around. The man sighed and looked down.
"She, uh, left as soon as my daughter was born." He admitted. My eyes widened.
"Oh, god, I'm so sorry." I winced.
"It's okay, you didn't know." He smiled.
"So, what's this little princess called?" I asked.
"Natalie." He nodded.
"And what are you called?" I asked.
"Calum. And you?" he asked.
"Y/N." I smiled.
"Nice to meet you." He returned as another woman walked down the shopping aisle.
"Oh, what a lovely baby you two have. You must be so proud." She smiled as she saw us. My eyes widened.
"Oh, no, she's not-." I sighed as the woman disappeared.
"I better be continuing with my shopping." I spoke.
"Yes, thank you so much for helping with her." Calum smiled as he gently took Natalie off of me and put her back into the baby seat.
"It was nice to meet you." I spoke.
"And you." He smiled before starting to push the trolley away.
Luke
I was sat on my sofa, watching TV. Suddenly, my phone started to ring. I smiled as Luke, my best friend's, photo showed up on my screen. I clicked answer and put the phone to my ear.
"Hey, Luke." I spoke.
"Hey, can you come over, please?" he asked.
"Why? It's 8:15." I scoffed.
"Because it's dress-up day at Kara's school and she wants to be a princess, but obviously I don't have any makeup and she won't let me help her pick a dress to wear. She's going to be late for school if she doesn't hurry up." he sighed. I returned it.
"Okay. I'll be there in ten minutes." I spoke before hanging up.
I knocked on Luke's door and waited for a response. It opened and Luke pulled me in.
"Thank god, she's not even dressed and she needs to be at school in half an hour." He sighed.
"I got this." I nodded as I walked through to her bedroom.
"Y/N!" Kara squealed as she hugged me.
"Hello! Now, daddy tells me that you're having some trouble picking out what to wear today." I spoke. She nodded as she looked at her dresses, spread out on her bedroom floor.
"How about this one?" I asked, picking up an electric blue princess dress.
"I like pink." She sighed.
"But your daddy says you look really nice in blue." I smiled.
"Really?" she asked, looking at Luke.
"Erm, uh, yes, honey." He nodded. She returned it.
"Okay. I want to wear this one." She spoke.
"Come on then, arms up." I smiled. She put her arms up so that I could put the dress on over her head.
"There. You look lovely." I smiled as I picked her up and put her on her chair.
"Now, for some princess makeup." I spoke.
"Woah, woah, Y/N, she's five, she doesn't need to wear makeup." Luke scoffed. I sighed and looked at him.
"I'm not actually going to put any makeup onto her. I'll brush her face a few times with my bare makeup brush, and she'll think she's wearing makeup." I mumbled to him. He looked at me.
"That's not a bad idea." He nodded. I returned it as I got out my makeup brush and ran it across Kara's eyelids.
"That tickles." She giggled.
"Nearly done, love." I smiled before putting the brush away.
"There. You look like a lovely princess." I nodded as she stood up.
"Do I look nice, daddy?" she asked.
"You look beautiful, honey." He smiled. She returned it before walking out into the living room. Luke looked at me.
"Thank you." He smiled, pecking my cheek before following after her.
Michael
I knocked on Michael's door and waited for a response. The door opened and my eyes widened at the state of Michael. His hair was messy and he was in nothing but a pair of joggers, with massive bags under his eyes. He smiled faintly at me as he held the phone to his ear.
"Come in." he whispered. I walked in and he shut the door behind me before going back the phone.
"So, why the hell can't you take him, just until I'm better?" he croaked.
"What do you not understand about I'm ill?" he spoke. The other person said something.
"If Noah is around me the entire time that I'm ill, he's going to get ill too and I don't need to nurse myself and a five-year-old back to health." He spat. I sighed as I looked at him.
"So, spending time with that asshole of a boyfriend is more important than your child's health? You're a poor excuse for a mum, I hope you know that." He nodded.
"Oh, fuck you too." He spat before hanging up. He sighed and slumped down onto the sofa.
"That Jessie?" I asked, making him nod.
"She doesn't want to cancel their date night to make sure that her son doesn't get ill." He grumbled. I sighed.
"Do you want me to take him for the weekend?" I asked. He looked at me.
"What, no, you don't have to do that." He shook his head.
"It's fine, Mikey, he's like a son to me, and I've got no plans, I'm happy to look after him until you're better." I shrugged. He sighed.
"Okay. If you're alright with doing that, I would really appreciate it." He coughed.
"Sure." I smiled. He nodded before sitting up slightly.
"Noah, come here, buddy." Michael croaked. I smiled as Noah came running in.
"Hello, auntie Y/N." he smiled.
"Hey, little man." I spoke.
"Come here, buddy." Michael said as he lifted Noah onto his lap.
"So, as you know, daddy isn't very well, daddy has caught the nasty bug that's going around. Mummy can't look after you, so auntie Y/N is going to instead." He nodded. Noah returned it.
"How long am I staying with her for?" he asked.
"Until daddy gets better, which will only be a few days." He reassured. Noah nodded.
"She's going to take good care of you." Michael promised.
"I know." Noah smiled. Michael returned it.
"Okay, buddy. Go get a bag ready, pack enough for a few days." He spoke. Noah nodded before climbing off of Michael's lap and running off.
"Thank you." He smiled at me.
"No bother. Just focus on getting well." I chuckled, making him nod and return it.
Ashton
I opened my eyes and groaned as I heard loud crying from the apartment next door. I grumbled to myself as I got up and left my apartment. I knocked on the door and waited for a response. It opened to reveal Ashton.
"Ash, please, can one of you please get Nico to sleep?" I groaned. His eyebrows furrowed.
"One of us?" he asked. I looked at him.
"You or Lisa." I scoffed. He sighed and looked down.
"She left." He admitted. My eyes widened.
"What?" I asked quietly.
"She left. The day after Nico was born, she bolted, and I don't know what I'm doing, which is why he won't shut up." He mumbled.
"Ash, I'm sorry." I sighed, making him nod.
"Let me help you." I spoke as I walked into the apartment.
"You sure?" he asked, following me to Nico's nursery.
"Yeah. You forget that I'm the oldest of five kids, I played a big part in helping mum and dad feed them and change nappies, and stuff." I spoke.
"Hello, little guy." I smiled as I gently picked Nico up, cradling him in my arms as he continued to scream.
"Shh, shh, what's wrong?" I cooed. I looked at Ashton.
"I think he's hungry, where are his bottles?" I asked.
"Two seconds, let me get one." He said before leaving the room. I looked down at Nico and sighed.
"Your poor dad, huh." I mumbled, causing him to look up at me through teary eyes.
"Here." Ashton spoke as he walked back in with a bottle. I took it from him and held it to Nico's lips, making him fall silent as he drank.
"There we go." I nodded, gently bopping him up and down.
"Thank you so much, Y/N." Ashton sighed.
"Any time." I smiled as I took the bottle away from his lips. Ashton smiled at me.
"Hey, he's not crying." He chuckled.
"But now, we have to burp him." I sighed.
"I'll do that, you've already done more than enough to help me." He spoke as he took Nico from me and put him against his chest.
"Okay. I'm going to go sleep now." I chuckled.
"Okay. Thanks for your help." He smiled before pecking my cheek.
"No problem." I spoke before shutting the door.
