How he is with your young son

Calum

I opened my eyes and sighed at my nauseous stomach.

"I can't believe I'm still getting morning sickness." I mumbled, holding my bump as I slowly sat up. I stood up and walked out onto the landing before walking down the stairs.

"Cal? Noah?" I called out, looking for my husband and son. I looked around and saw that the back doors were open. I walked towards them and smiled as Noah and Calum were kicking a football about. I giggled at the sight of Noah trying to kick it, his small feel barely moving the ball.

"Morning, babe." Calum smiled.

"Morning, mummy." Noah squealed.

"Morning." I returned, leaning against the doorway as my hands rested on my bump.

"How long have you two been out here?" I asked.

"Couple hours." Calum shrugged.

"Hours?" I scoffed.

"Yeah. My son loves football, just like his dad." He smiled as he kicked the ball back to Noah. Noah tried to kick the ball, but fell down instead.

"Oh no." I mumbled, knowing what was about to come. A small cry escaped Noah's lips before he started to wail, tears already running down his face.

"Aww, don't cry, come here, buddy." Calum sighed as he jogged towards Noah and picked him up.

"Come on, buddy, show mummy and daddy how much of a big boy you are, and stop crying." Calum encouraged, gently bopping him up and down. Noah sniffed slightly, hiccupping as he rubbed his wet eyes.

"Good boy, good boy." Calum nodded, kissing his cheek. Noah looked at my stomach.

"I want to say morning to baby." He spoke, pointing at my bump.

"Well, I'm sure baby will appreciate a good morning from his big brother." Calum smiled at him before putting him down. Noah giggled as he ran up to me and hugged my bump. I hugged him back, biting my lip and smiling at Calum.

"Morning, baby." Noah spoke, puckering his lips and kissing my bump.

"Let's get some breakfast, little guy." Calum smiled, taking his hand and walking him back inside.

Luke

"I'm home!" I yelled as I shut the front door and stepped out of my heels. I looked around.

"Luke, where are you?" I yelled.

"In the kitchen!" I sighed as I walked through.

"What in god's name!" I gasped at the state of the kitchen. Cupboards were coming off of their hinges, food was on the ceiling and several empty packets of spilt food lay on the counters and floor. I looked at Luke.

"What the fuck happened here?!" I exclaimed.

"Our son happened." He spoke.

"He's three, how the fuck did he do all of this?" I scoffed.

"He wanted to make brownies, I said no because I knew that he'd need my help and I was in the middle of writing a new song. I hear a crash, come in here, turns out he'd tried to start by himself. I yelled at him, he screamed the house down, and now he's on timeout in his room." He explained. I sighed.

"What are we going to do with that boy?" I breathed.

"Well, first things first, we need to talk to him." He shrugged. I nodded before heading up the stairs.

"Nico?" I asked as I pushed his door open.

"Mummy." He cried as he shot up and hugged me quickly.

"Daddy was being a big meanie and he wouldn't let me-."

"I'm going to stop you right there, young man, I know what happened, so don't even try lying to me." I warned as I moved his arms from my waist.

"Sit down, buddy." Luke mumbled. Nico huffed before sitting on his bed and angrily crossing his arms over his chest. Luke sighed as he sat next to him.

"What you did wasn't good. Not only did you disobey me, and make an utter mess of the kitchen, which daddy is going to have to clean up, but you could have seriously hurt yourself." Luke spoke. Nico sighed.

"And not only would mummy be very angry at daddy for not looking after you, but daddy would be very angry and upset at himself for thinking he couldn't keep his little partner in crime safe in his own home." He muttered, gently moving Nico's golden locks out of his blue eyes.

"You get that, don't you?" he asked.

"Yeah." Nico mumbled.

"Good boy. Now, I'm sorry for being a meanie, but you can't do that again. Come here." He spoke, opening his arms. Nico climbed into them quickly and returned the hug.

"Right. Well, Nico, your punishment is to help daddy tidy the kitchen. Do not do that again." I sighed before standing up and leaving the room.

Michael

"We're going to be late!" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"We're not going to be late." Michael chuckled as he walked downstairs. I looked at him.

"And where is your son?" I sighed. He nodded back to the stairs. I looked up and laughed as I saw Jackson waddling down the stairs in his little suit.

"Aww, baby, you look adorable." I smiled as I picked him up.

"Thank you." He giggled. I looked at Michael.

"Is this the suit your mum sent him?" I asked.

"Yeah. Fits quite well, me thinks." He nodded in approval, adjusting Jackson's tie slightly.

"You ready to go?" I asked.

"No." Jackson shook his head.

"Why not?" I scoffed.

"This suit is uncomfortable." He huffed.

"Well, grandma made it for you, and we're going to see her and grandad, so you have to wear it." Michael shrugged as we walked out of the door.

"I don't wanna." Jackson whined.

"Come on, Jacks, you knew that you had to wear it, and you were making no fuss when you were getting dressed." Michael sighed as he opened the car door for me.

"I know, but it's getting uncomfortable now." He groaned, starting to fidget as I tried to put him in his car seat.

"Sit still, Jackson, we're late as it is." I sighed, trying to buckle his car seat up.

"No! I wanna change!" he screamed.

"Babe." Michael mumbled, putting a hand on my waist. I nodded and moved so that Michael was in my place.

"Listen, Jackson. Grandma put a lot of effort into making that for you, it's a very nice suit, you look like such a big boy. You like looking like a big boy, don't you?" Michael asked. Jackson nodded slowly.

"Okay. So, look like a big boy for mummy and daddy, and grandma and granddad, and wear the suit, okay?" he asked. Jackson sighed.

"Okay." He mumbled.

"Good boy." Michael nodded, buckling him in before shutting the door.

"Wow. He's getting more stubborn each day." He sighed.

"He's like his dad." I joked.

"Hey." He laughed as we climbed into the car.

Ashton

I opened my eyes as I heard someone starting to play the drums. I looked at the time and groaned as I saw that it was 6:15am.

"Ash, what the fuck?" I mumbled to myself.

"What? I haven't done anything." I opened my eyes and rolled over to see Ashton with scrunched up eyes.

"Sorry, I thought you were the ones playing the drums." I mumbled, resting my head on his chest.

"Nope. I'm just as fucked off as you are right now." He muttered.

"I guess we better see which one of your children is waking the neighbourhood up at six in the morning." I sighed as I sat up and pulled my dressing gown on over my body.

"Hmm." He mumbled as he slowly stood up. We walked along to the music studio that Ashton had made when we first moved in, and opened the door. Nathan stopped playing as he saw us.

"Nathan, why the hell are you playing drums at six in the morning? Not only did you wake us up, you probably also woke up your big sisters and the neighbours." I sighed.

"I wanted to be like daddy, he plays drums." He shrugged. I smiled and looked up at Ashton.

"Okay, buddy, but not at this time. I'll teach you later." Ashton nodded.

"Please, daddy, I want to start now." Nathan giggled. Ashton chuckled and shook his head as he walked in.

"Okay then. But we have to be very quiet, otherwise your sisters are not going to like you today." He laughed as he picked Nathan up and sat down before placing Nathan back on his lap.

"Okay, so, you hold the sticks like this," he started, putting his giant hands over Nathan's tiny ones so that he could hold the drumsticks.

"And you just tap." He spoke. I smiled as I shut the door and walked back into the bedroom, leaving Ashton and Nathan to it.

Calum

The taxi pulled up to the arena where the boys were playing and I climbed out with Sami. Calum smiled as he saw us.

"Daddy!" Sami screamed as he ran into Calum's arms.

"Hello, my little man! Happy birthday!" he smiled as he picked him up and kissed his cheek.

"Hey, babe." I spoke as I kissed him.

"Hey. Was the journey okay?" he asked, walking us into the arena.

"Yeah, it was fine." I smiled.

"I'm glad." Calum returned before he looked at Sami.

"So, bud, are you having a good birthday?" he asked.

"The best." He giggled.

"I'm glad." Calum chuckled before leading us into the dressing room.

Sami and I stood at the side of the stage as the boys played. They finished playing "She's kinda hot" as the crowd screamed.

"So, guys, today is a very special day in the Hood household because my little boy is three today." Calum smiled, making the crowd scream even louder.

"It honestly feels like just yesterday, my wife and I brought him home from the hospital, and I miss that feeling, Luckily, as you know, I'll be getting that again in six months, but for today, it's all about my son." He smiled.

"That's your cue, love." I nodded at Sami. He returned it before timidly walking onstage.

"It's okay, buddy, you don't need to be shy." Calum reassured as he picked him up. Sami looked out into the audience before burying his face in Calum's neck.

"Aww, my little guy is shy. Let's make him feel welcome by saying happy birthday, yeah?" Calum asked. Him and Sami smiled as the crowd went wild.

"That better, little man?" Calum asked, making Sami nod.

"Good." He smiled before kissing his cheek.

Luke

"We're back!" I shouted as I led Simon into the house.

"Hey, babe." Luke smiled from the sofa, where him and Tyler were playing video games.

"Did you have a good day at nursery, buddy?" Luke asked.

"Yeah. I made this." Simon replied as he handed Luke the drawing.

"Oh man, Si, that's really good." Luke smiled.

"No, it's not, it's shit." Tyler scoffed.

"Oi, don't be mean to your brother." Luke spoke before turning back to Simon.

"Ignore him, he's just annoyed because daddy is beating him at his favourite game." Luke chuckled. Simon giggled before looking at the screen.

"Can I play?" he asked.

"No, you'll just ruin it." Tyler mumbled.

"Hey, pack it in." Luke snapped before picking Simon up and sitting him on his lap.

"Sure, you can, bud. So, you press that to drive, that to stop, and fiddle with that to turn. Daddy will help you and then we can beat your big brother together, yeah?" he asked.

"Yeah." Simon laughed. Luke smiled before pressing "play".

Michael

I sat on the sofa, looking at my phone. Suddenly, the door opened and Michael walked in with Alex.

"We're back." Michael smiled.

"Mummy!" Alex squealed as he ran to me and climbed up onto the sofa next to me.

"Hey, babe. How was nursery?" I asked.

"It was good. I ate all of the fruit you gave me." He nodded.

"Good boy." I chuckled as Michael sat next to me with his guitar on his lap.

"Hey, babe." He smiled as he kissed me.

"What about you? How was the studio?" I asked.

"Not bad. Recorded another song today." He nodded.

"Well, that's good." I smiled. He returned it before starting to pluck at his guitar.

"Daddy, can I please help you play the guitar?" Alex asked. Michael looked at him.

"Sure, buddy. Come here." He nodded. Alex smiled before climbing down from the sofa and waddling over to Michael.

"Up you come." Michael chuckled, picking Alex up and placing him on his lap before putting his guitar on his lap.

"So, put your finger there." He mumbled, gently moving Alex's finger to the fifth fret.

"And now strum gently." He spoke as he took Alex's other hand and moving it against the strings, creating the sound.

"Well done, buddy, that's so good." Michael smiled, kissing his head.

"I like it." Alex giggled.

"I'm glad." Michael chuckled.

Ashton

I opened my eyes and looked around. I yawned as I looked at the time. 9:00.

"Ash, babe, you need to wake William up." I mumbled. No response.

"Ash." I groaned. Nothing.

"Ashton, dammit." I muttered as I turned over. I rolled my eyes as he wasn't in bed. I got up and opened the bedroom door before walking through the apartment. My eyebrows furrowed as I saw Ashton's legs hanging over the end of the sofa.

"Ash?" I muttered.

"Hmm." He mumbled. I walked around to see him lying on the sofa with William lying on his bare chest.

"Ash, babe." I whispered, gently shaking his shoulder. His eyes slowly opened.

"Morning, babe." He smiled tiredly.

"Why did you sleep on the sofa?" I asked.

"Please get Will off of me, then I'll explain." He mumbled. I nodded before leaning down and picking William up, making him wrap his arm around mine and rest his head in my neck.

"My god, why is he so hot?" I scoffed, putting my hand on his forehead.

"He's sick, babe." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes.

"So, why did you sleep on the sofa with him last night?" I asked, cradling William.

"Well, I woke up early this morning when I heard him crying. He was crying because he'd been sick, and I wanted to sleep with him to make sure he wasn't sick again. But our mattress is really expensive, so I slept with him on the sofa instead." He nodded. I smiled at him.

"That's so sweet, Ash." I spoke. He smiled before standing up.

"Get ready for work, babe. Luke is laying down the vocals in the studio today, so I can stay at home. I'll look after him." He said before taking William from me.

"Thank you. You're an amazing dad." I smiled. He returned it and gently kissed me before carrying William into his room.
