How he is when you're pregnant

Calum

I lay on the sofa, trying to take a nap. Suddenly, I felt my top being pushed up to reveal my pregnant stomach. I opened my eyes slightly to see Calum kneeling by the sofa, head by my bump.

"Hey, baby Hood." He whispered to the bump, placing a light kiss on my belly.

"We can't wait for you to get here. We've waited so long for you." He continued, placing kisses on my stomach every other word.

"We love you so much. We love you so, so much, and you're not even here yet, I can't imagine how much we're going to love you when you do get here." He spoke gently. I moved my hand up, gently running my fingers through Calum's hair as he turned to face me.

"And please don't hurt your mummy too much. She's doing an amazing job of keeping you safe, and it hurts her when you kick, so please be careful." He smiled at me. I returned it.

"There's only a few more months until you get here. So, please, stay safe, don't hurt your mummy, and be healthy." He chuckled, looking straight into my eyes.

"I'll talk to you later. I love you, baby Hood." He spoke, placing one more kiss on my stomach before standing up.

"Try to get some sleep, babe." He whispered, placing a kiss on my head and walking away.

Luke

I sighed as I carried another box of old toys into the nursery, looking around the half-painted walls and the half-built cot.

"I see that you're in between jobs." I chuckled as Luke and Ashton looked up at me.

"Hey, hey, what did I say about you carrying heavy things?" Luke asked as he quickly stood up and took the box from me.

"Luke, I can lift heavy things, I'm carrying a baby for fucks sake." I joked.

"Still, the baby isn't that heavy yet, you're only just showing." he chuckled. I sighed, placing my hands on my pregnant bump.

"So, how long do you think that it'll take to get everything painted and built?" I asked.

"Shouldn't take too long, maybe another week or two, a month at the most, we just hope that it'll be ready for when the baby arrives." Ashton smiled.

"No rush, she'll be in with us for the first few months away." I nodded.

"Oh, you already know the gender?" he asked.

"Yeah, we found out a couple of days ago." Luke spoke.

"Congrats, man." Ashton smiled, patting him on the back. He smiled before looking at me.

"Okay, I'm going to leave you guys to it, I'll bring some coffee in a bit." I smiled.

"Thanks, babe, don't strain yourself." Luke chuckled, kissing my head as he passed me.

Michael

I sat on the sofa, flicking through the channels as Michael gently tapped my legs that were over his lap.

"Do we have any ice cream?" I asked.

"Yeah." He replied.

"And do we have tomato sauce?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Yeah...why?" he chuckled.

"I want ice cream and tomato sauce." I huffed.

"What...like, together?" Michael grinned.

"Yup." I nodded, making him laugh.

"My god, how can you even be craving that?" he laughed.

"I don't know, the baby wants what it wants." I shrugged. He chuckled.

"Jesus Christ, cravings are weird." He giggled.

"You're telling me. I was with your mum the other day, sorting through your old toys, and she said that when she was expecting you, she had cravings for pickles and chocolate sauce." I explained, making his eyes widen.

"Fucking hell, that's weird." He spoke.

"Michael." I muttered.

"Y/N." he mocked.

"You know that you love me, and you know how I'm five-months pregnant?" I asked.

"I am aware of these facts." He spoke.

"Can you please get me ice cream and tomato sauce?" I asked. He chuckled as he lifted my legs up slightly and stood from the sofa.

"You really do get weird ass cravings." He chuckled as he headed into the kitchen.

"Thank you!"

"Yeah, yeah."

Ashton

"What do you think it'll be?" Ashton asked as we sat in the doctors' office, waiting for an ultrasound.

"Well, as much as I love Kayla and Jolene, I want a boy this time." I sighed, making him nod.

"Yeah. I love my girls, but another boy in the house would be nice." He agreed as the doctor walked in.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Irwin, here for an ultrasound, I believe." The doctor smiled.

"Yup." Ashton returned it as she took a seat and I lay down on the hospital bed.

"Okay. This is going to be cold, Mrs Irwin." She spoke before putting the jelly on my stomach.

"So, is this is your first child?" the doctor asked, making conversation as she got the machine ready.

"Third, actually, we've got two girls at home." I spoke.

"Hoping for a boy then, for dad, are we?" she chuckled.

"Yeah." Ashton laughed. She pressed a couple of buttons before the image came up on the screen.

"Well, I've got good news. Baby Irwin is doing well, is healthy, and is developing how we would like to see." She smiled.

"Are we finding out the gender today?" she asked.

"Yeah, please." Ashton spoke. She looked at the screen.

"Okay. Well, you got your wish, it's a boy." She announced. Ashton and I smiled at each other as he gripped my hand.

"You're going to have a buddy to drum with." I chuckled.

"I can't believe that we're having a boy." He smiled before kissing me.

Calum

I opened my eyes and smiled at the familiar feeling of Calum's arm around my waist and his hand resting protectively on my five-month-pregnant bump. I looked at the time. 4:30am. I sighed as I felt the baby kick.

"Sh, it's okay." I whispered before turning to Calum.

"Babe?" I muttered.

"Hmm." He mumbled.

"Baby." I sighed. His eyes shot open and he sat up quickly.

"What's wrong-is the baby okay-what's happening-."

"Calm down." I chuckled.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Yeah, but baby Hood is craving pickles and strawberry sauce again." I spoke.

"Uh huh." He mumbled. I gave him a sheepish smile.

"Ohh. God, what time is it?" he groaned.

"4:30am." I spoke. He groaned again.

"Okay, I'll get you the craving food, just stay in bed." He sighed.

"Thank you, I love you." I smiled.

"Uh huh." He chuckled before leaning down to my baby bump.

"Go back to sleep, baby Hood." He spoke before kissing my bump. He leant up and kissed my lips before standing up and walking out of the bedroom.

Calum

I sighed as I sat on the sofa, watching TV.

"What are you doing up?" I looked up to see Calum walking into the living room.

"Your kids are keeping me up." I sighed, resting my hand against my six-month pregnant belly.

"Oh dear." He chuckled as he sat down next to me and put his hand against my bump.

"What's happening in there?" he asked.

"Hold on two minutes." I spoke. He left his hand against my stomach. I hissed slightly as I felt a sharp pain.

"Wow, Jesus, was that a kick?" he scoffed.

"Yeah. It doesn't help that there's two of them, your daughter kicks during the day and your son kicks at night." I mumbled.

"Aww, babe." He chuckled before leaning down and kissing my stomach.

"Stop hurting your mummy and get along with each other in there." He spoke before kissing my bump again.

"Babe, you really should sleep, the twins need their rest." He sighed, taking my hand and kissing it.

"They don't rest anyway. They use my energy to stay up twenty-four-seven." I chuckled.

"I hope you're not this negative about our children when they're born." He laughed as he stood up.

"Come on. Let's put these babies to bed." He spoke as he held out his hands. I took them and stood up.

"Wow, you're getting heavy." He chuckled as I stood up and he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"It's you who did this to me." I laughed as we walked to the bedroom.

"Yeah, it was, and I'm glad it happened. We're going to be parents in three months, we've always wanted to be parents." He smiled. I returned it.

"I know." I spoke, resting my head in the crook of his neck.

Luke

I sat in the kitchen, playing with my scrambled eggs and pushing them around the plate. I looked up and sighed as Luke walked in and straight past me. I bit my lip in an attempt to stop myself from crying. Luke passed me again, slamming the pregnancy magazines down onto the counter before walking down the hall.

"Okay, Luke, we need to talk about last night." I spoke as I eased myself up, holding my bump.

"What is there to talk about? You don't want to know the gender, I do, we had a fight, we're not finding out the gender, I'm over it." He shrugged, holding his arms out.

"Well, you're clearly not. You fucking slammed the magazines down, you didn't even look at me this morning, this is the first morning in six months that you've not kissed my bump and you've not talked to your baby." I choked slightly, making him sigh. I looked down and knotted my fingers.

"I've changed my mind." I mumbled.

"What?" he asked.

"I was thinking about it last night, and I decided that I want to know what we're having. It means that we can be more prepared, in terms of names, and clothes and stuff." I muttered. He looked at me.

"Really?" he asked, making me nod.

"Look, my next ultrasound is this afternoon, and I'm far enough along to find out what we're having, so if you still want to come with me, we can find out." I spoke. He sighed and walked towards me.

"Of course I'll come, babe. I'm sorry about last night." He spoke, tightly hugging me. I smiled into his chest as I returned it quickly.

"Okay, so, do you want to know what the gender of your baby is going to be?" The doctor asked.

"Please." Luke smiled. The doctor returned it before looking at the screen.

"Looks like the newest addition to the family is going to be a baby girl." He returned. I smiled at Luke, making him return it as he kissed my hand.

"We're having a daughter." He smiled before kissing me.

Michael

Michael and I walked into the baby shop, hand in hand.

"Let's shop for baby Clifford." Michael smiled, kissing my head before walking off. I looked around, resting my hand against my seven-month pregnant bump as I looked at all of the different clothes and baby things.

"Babe." I looked up to see Michael.

"How about this?" he asked, holding up a top.

"I'm living proof that my daddy got laid at least once." I read out.

"How cool is that?" he laughed. I looked at him.

"Our son is not wearing that." I chuckled.

"Why not? It's hilarious." He smiled.

"You're married, honey, people know you've gotten laid more than once." I giggled. He pouted before putting the top back.

"What about this?" he asked, holding up another one.

"" Daddy's best friend", aww." I smiled. He looked at me hopefully.

"Yeah, we can get that one." I nodded. He smiled before gently pecking my lips.

"The boys may get jealous though." I chuckled.

"Nah, Ashton bought the same top for Jake when Lindsey was pregnant." He shrugged.

"What else is on the list?" he asked. I took it out and looked at it.

"A crib, a high chair, a car seat, more clothes, dummies, nappies-."

"Okay, you're only seven months, let's just sort out the crib and high chair for now." He chuckled. I looked up at him.

"What?" he grinned. I shook my head and bit my lip.

"I just can't believe I'm having a baby with you." I smiled. He returned it before kissing me.

"Come on, let's buy him a crib." He spoke, taking my hand and leading me through the shop.

Ashton

I opened my eyes and groaned loudly. I looked at the time. 11:30am. I groaned again before rolling over. I sighed as Ashton's side of the bed was empty.

"Fucks sake." I muttered, sitting up and carefully holding my nine-month pregnant bump. I opened the door and waddled out into the living room to where Ashton was sitting. He looked at me.

"Babe, you should be resting, you could pop any day now." He sighed as I lowered myself onto the sofa.

"I should have popped by now. The stubborn little girl that is your daughter is a week late." I mumbled.

"I know, baby, but she'll be here soon." He reassured, holding my hand.

"I want this baby out of me, Ash." I groaned.

"There are ways to induce labour, you know." He shrugged.

"Like?" I asked. His lips curled into a smirk.

"Sex would be a fun way, for both of us." He chuckled.

"Nope, uh, uh, sorry buddy, but you're not going anywhere near my downstairs until we're in the delivery room." I scoffed, making him laugh.

"Okay then. Well, we can go on a walk, it gets you out of the house, and may get our daughter out of you." He suggested. I thought about it.

"We're going on a walk." I nodded as I slowly eased myself up.

"Okay, let's go." Ashton spoke as he shot up and helped me put my coat on.

We walked through the park, Ashton's hand on my lower back as he held my other hand in his.

"Do you feel anything?" he asked, looking at me.

"No." I spoke, holding my bump. We continued to walk.

"What about now?" he asked. I shook my head as we continued to walk.

"What about now?" he asked again.

"Ash, babe, I will tell you if I feel anything." I sighed, making him nod. My eyes widened.

"What?" he asked.

"I feel something." I mumbled.

"What do you feel-." I screamed as a contraction hit.

"Okay, babe, you're in labour, we're going to get you to a hospital." He nodded as he took my hand and sped us up slightly.

"Let's go have a baby." He smiled, pecking my lips.

Calum

We rolled up to Calum's parents' house and Calum stopped the car. I undid my seatbelt and went to open the door.

"Don't you touch that door handle." Calum chuckled before quickly opening his door and rushing around to me. I sighed as he opened the door for me and smiled.

"If you're going to be like this the entire time, it's going to be a very long nine months." I mumbled as he took my hand.

"It will be anyway, we're waiting for our baby to come into the world." He shrugged as he knocked on the door. After a moment, it opened to reveal Joy.

"Calum, Y/N, how lovely to see you." She smiled as she hugged Calum and then me.

"Oh, Y/N, you're already glowing. I hope Calum's been looking after you." She smiled as Calum shut the door.

"He hasn't stopped." I chuckled as we walked in.

"So, how far along are you?" Mali asked, standing next to me in the kitchen as we got food.

"Only four months. With the way Cal is acting though, you'd think I was about to pop." I chuckled, making her laugh.

"Erm, no, let me do that for you." Calum spoke as he took my plate from my hands. I looked at Mali.

"See what I mean?" I asked. Calum looked at us and raised his eyebrows.

"I was just saying how protective you're being over me." I sighed.

"I have to be, you're carrying our child and if anything happens to you, it also happens to our baby, looking after you looks after both of you." He shrugged before handing my plate back. My eyes widened as it was piled high with food.

"Calum, we've been together for ten years, you know I can't eat all of this." I scoffed.

"You're eating for two, babe, you have to." He replied. Mali chuckled and shook her head as I put my plate down and walked to Calum.

"I appreciate all of this, Calum, but what I eat is enough, and you don't need to start looking after the baby until I'm in the final months." I reassured. He sighed and nodded as Calum's small nephew walked up to us.

"Hello, Theo." He smiled. Theo looked at me.

"Do you remember my wife, Y/N?" he asked, holding my waist. Theo nodded.

"My mummy said that you got your wife pregnant. What does pregnant mean?" he asked.

"It means that Y/N is going to have a baby." He smiled, putting his hand on my stomach.

"How did you get her pregnant?" he asked. I bit my lip as I looked at Calum. He looked at Theo with wide eyes.

"Erm...er...um..."

"Mali, how about we let the man of the relationship explain this?" I laughed as I moved from Calum's grip and took her arm.

"Yeah, see you later, Cal." Mali chuckled.

"Babe, wait!" he called after us.

Luke

I stood in front of the mirror, looking at my body in my underwear. I sighed and turned to the side, looking at my growing bump. I grabbed my jeans and pulled them up.

"For fucks sake." I choked as I couldn't do them up. I huffed before pulling them back off, leaving me in my underwear again. I sighed as I walked out of the room and into the living room. Luke sat on the sofa, watching TV. He looked at me and smirked.

"What have I done to deserve this?" he smirked, skimming his eyes up and down my body.

"Don't, that's not the reason I'm only in my underwear." I mumbled before slumping down next to him.

"Why aren't you wearing anything, then?" he asked, gently rubbing my thigh. I looked down at my bump.

"I've started to show, so nothing fits." I choked. Luke sighed in response.

"Oh dear. Well, I think it's time to buy some maternity clothes." He spoke.

"And what am I meant to wear to the shop? All of my clothes are size eight, because of this baby, I'm now a size twelve, and that'll keep going up." I spoke. He thought for a moment before smiling at me and shooting up.

"Luke?" I called. He came back in a moment later with one of his flannels and a pair of jeans.

"Your jeans aren't going to fit me." I sighed.

"They'll do for going to the maternity shop." He shrugged, getting down on his knees in front of me and opening the jeans. I smiled gently at him before putting my hands on his shoulders and stepping into the jeans. I sighed.

"What's wrong, baby girl?" he asked, curling his arms around my waist.

"I just...I'm going to get massive." I chuckled, looking up at him. He returned it and nodded.

"Yeah, but that's a good sign. It means that you and the baby are healthy. Also, I know you, I know that you'll easily be able to lose the extra weight once this baby is here." He reassured. I sighed and looked at him.

"Anyway, I'll love you no matter what size you are. I love you and our baby, no matter what." He nodded before gently kissing me.

Michael

"I'm home!" I yelled as I shut the front door and put my keys down.

"Just in time! I made you something." Michael smiled as he rushed out of the kitchen, holding a spoon. My eyebrows furrowed at it.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's chicken and leek soup, your favourite." He shrugged. I put my hand over my mouth as I tried not to be sick.

"Babe, thank you so much, I do love chicken and leek soup, but morning sickness is being a bitch right and the baby doesn't want chicken and leek soup." I sighed.

"So?" he asked.

"Mikey, if the baby doesn't want chicken and leek soup, she's not going to let me have it without throwing up." I spoke.

"Ah." He nodded.

"I'm sorry, babe, it looks so good, and I love your cooking, but I'm too sick right now." I sighed.

"It's okay, babe. Have some rest, your back must be killing." He smiled.

"It is." I chuckled as I held my bump and walked into the living room. I collapsed onto the sofa and closed my eyes.

"Babe, wake up."

"Babe." I opened my eyes slowly and sighed as Michael stood over me.

"What?" I asked, sitting up slightly.

"I have a surprise for you." He smiled before extending his hands. I returned his smile and took his hands, allowing him to pull me to my feet. As soon as I was up, his hands were over my eyes.

"Babe." I laughed.

"Two ticks, I want this to be a surprise." He chuckled in my ear as he walked us somewhere. I heard a door open and he walked us into the room.

"Three, two, one." He moved his hands. I gasped at the state of our bedroom. Several blankets and pillows covered the bed, three massive chocolate bars sat against the sheets, and my favourite movies were on my bedside table.

"Aww, babe." I smiled as I hugged him tightly.

"I know that the pregnancy has been really tough on you recently, and I'm the one who did this to you, so I thought it was only right that I try to make you as comfortable as possible." He spoke. I smiled before pecking his lips.

"I love you." I smiled.

"I love you too." He returned.

"Now, fuck off, the baby and I have a date with chocolate and "Little shop of horrors"." I chuckled. He returned it.

"Shout if you need anything." He smiled before leaving the room.

Ashton

My eyes shot open as I felt a pain in my bump. I hissed as I sat up and looked down. I gulped as there was blood on the sheets.

"Ash." I whispered, nudging his shoulder.

"Hmm." He mumbled.

"Ash, wake up." I spoke. He slowly opened his eyes and sat up slightly.

"What's up, babe?" he muttered.

"I'm bleeding." I choked. His eyes widened and he immediately shot up.

"Grab your bag, we're going to the hospital now." He spoke, throwing a top on. I nodded before easing myself out of bed, holding my bump and praying that something was still there.

I lay in the hospital bed, clutching Ashton's hand as he sat in the chair next to my bed. Suddenly, the door opened and the doctor walked in.

"What's happening, is our baby okay?" Ashton asked as he immediately shot up.

"Your baby is fine, Mr Irwin." The doctor reassured. Ashton and I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank god." I gulped.

"There's nothing to worry about, it's perfectly fine to have a little bit of bleeding in the first few months of pregnancy. Both mum and baby are fine, but Mrs Irwin, just to be safe, you need to stay in bed for a few days." He nodded.

"Of course, if that's what's best for the baby." I spoke. He nodded before leaving the room.

"Thank fuck." I sighed.

"Come on, babe, let's take you home." Ashton nodded.

Ashton shut the apartment door.

"So, what's for breakfast-." I squealed as Ashton immediately swept me off of my feet and picked me up bridal style.

"Ash, what are you doing?" I chuckled as he started to carry me through the apartment.

"The doctor said that you need to stay in bed for a few days." He shrugged.

"I can walk to the bedroom, that won't hurt anyone." I sighed.

"I'm not risking you or the baby." He spoke as he gently put me down onto the bed.

"Get some rest, baby girl." He spoke.

"Thank you." I smiled. He returned it before gently pecking my lips and leaving the room.
