He's a footballer
Calum
I walked into the changing room and greeted the other cheerleaders.
"Hey, girl." Samantha smiled as I stripped off my clothes and got my cheerleader uniform out.
"Hey." I returned.
"You looking forward to the game?" she asked.
"I guess. It's just a normal game." I shrugged.
"It won't be for you. Rumour has it that Calum is going to ask you out if they win the game." She admitted. My eyes widened.
"Calum, as in my best friend, Calum?" I scoffed.
"Yeah. He's had the hots for you for ages." She giggled.
"Since when?" I asked. She rolled her eyes.
"Jesus, you're so clueless." She laughed. I chuckled before heading out onto the field. Soon enough, the football team ran out as we cheered. The crowd went wild as Calum ran out onto the pitch. He looked at me and winked. I returned it, making him laugh as he kicked the ball onto the green pitch. The match started and the players kicked the ball back and forth. The ball was kicked to Calum and he set off running towards the other team's goal. He kicked it straight into the net, making the crowd scream. The other cheerleaders and I cheered as we raised our pom-poms.
There was twenty seconds left of the match as Calum ran down the pitch with the ball at his feet. He kicked it into the net and the whistle went. We screamed and cheered at the win of our team. Calum ran up to me and threw his arms around my waist, picking me up. I squealed as he spun me around, his face buried in my hair. He put me down and grabbed my face before crashing our lips together. I quickly returned it as my arms curled around his waist. He broke the kiss and looked at me.
"I've wanted to do that for as long as I can remember." He admitted.
"So have I." I returned. He smiled before leaning down and kissing me again.
Calum
I sat in the stands next to the football pitch, waiting for the school team to run on. I hugged myself tightly, pulling Calum's jersey further around my body in a weak attempt to stay warm. Suddenly, the crowd erupted into cheers as the football team ran out, led by Calum. He looked up at the stands. His eyes darted about, trying to find me. He caught my gaze and he smiled before sending me a wink and making me laugh. He returned it before running onto the pitch and starting to kick the ball about.
The crowd cheered as Calum scored another goal. He smiled and ran over the grass, looking at me.
"You're doing brilliantly." I mouthed at him, making him smile at me. Suddenly, a member of the other team shoved harshly into him, pushing him down immediately. My eyes widened as the crowd gasped.
"Calum!" I yelled as I ran down the stands and onto the field. I ran up to him, pushing past the crowd of his team that were gathered around him.
"Fucking hell." He groaned as he gripped his leg, his eyes squeezed shut. I looked up at Luke.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Some sore loser from the other team shoved him down before stamping on his leg." He mumbled. I scoffed before looking back at Calum and crouching down beside him.
"You're going to be alright, Cal." I promised, taking his hand.
"It hurts, babe." He groaned, tightly gripping my hand.
"I know, babe, I know." I nodded as the school nurse rushed to us.
"Let's see what's happened to you." She tutted as she took his leg. He screamed out as she touched it.
"Oh dear. Looks like Mr Hood has a broken leg." She sighed.
"What?" I scoffed.
"Whatever that player did broke a part of the leg, that's what it looks like, at least." She spoke.
"Trust me, it feels like it too." Calum said through gritted teeth.
"Don't worry, we're going to get you to a hospital." She promised before looking up at Luke and Ashton.
"Help him up, his left foot cannot touch the ground." She instructed. They nodded before putting an arm each around his waist and helping him stand up as he hissed at the pain. They started to walk him off, the rest of the team and I following.
"Woah, you can't all come." The nurse scoffed.
"I'm his girlfriend." I said.
"You come, the rest of you stay." She ordered. They groaned before walking back towards the field.
"You're going to be okay, babe." I smiled gently at Calum.
"Just stay with me, would you?" he mumbled.
"Of course." I nodded, putting an arm around his waist.
Luke
The crowd cheered as Luke scored another goal, immediately getting pats on the back from his teammates.
"Sydney High School wins!" the commentator roared, making us scream. I walked down the stands with everyone else, clutching my bag. I headed towards the street.
"Hey, wait!" I turned around and my eyes widened slightly as a very sweaty Luke jogged towards me.
"Well, if it's not the man of the hour." I smiled, making him chuckle as he panted.
"Hey, um, I'm glad you came." He smiled.
"Well, I promised that I would, and I stick to my promises." I shrugged. He nodded before looking at me, his wet locks flopping over his stunningly blue eyes.
"Um, there's a party at Michael's place later on, to celebrate the end of the season. I'd love it if you came." He spoke, still slightly out of breath.
"Erm, that sounds great." I nodded, making Luke smile.
"Awesome. I'll text you his address and what time it starts." He nodded.
"Yeah, cool. See you there." I spoke.
"See you." He smiled. I returned it before walking away.
I walked into Michael's house and looked around. I gulped as I couldn't see anyone that I knew, wincing slightly as the strong smell of cheap alcohol filled my nose. Maybe this isn't a good idea, I thought as I turned back towards the door.
"Hey!" Suddenly, my wrist was gently taken. I turned around and breathed a sigh of relief as Luke smiled at me, a plastic cup in his hand.
"Hey." I shouted over the music.
"I'm glad you made it." He yelled.
"You seem to be saying that to me a lot today." I chuckled. He smiled.
"Yeah. I guess I just like being around you." He admitted, looking at me. I looked down and bit my lip, a blush forming on my cheeks.
"Let's get you a drink." He shouted, taking my hand.
"Wait, Luke, I, um, I don't drink." I gulped. He looked at me and smiled.
"That's okay. We can get you a coke or something." He reassured. I smiled and nodded before letting him lead me into the packed kitchen.
Michael
I sat outside the headmaster's office, gripping my bag. I sighed as I heard yelling, though I couldn't make out what was being said. Suddenly, the door opened and Michael stormed out.
"I'm serious, Mr Clifford. Don't brush this off." The headmaster warned.
"Whatever." He scoffed before looking at me.
"Let's go, babe." He mumbled. I nodded before taking his hand and letting him lead us out of the office.
"So, what was that about?" I asked, looking up at him. He sighed.
"Apparently, my football scholarship is in jeopardy if my grades don't improve." He muttered. My eyes widened.
"How much in jeopardy?" I gulped.
"Well, according to Mr York, if my grades don't improve to at least Bs, my scholarship is as good as gone." He sighed. I returned it.
"My parents can't afford to send me to uni, babe, I need that scholarship." He groaned.
"Don't worry, Mikey, you've still got a year until the final exams. That's a year to improve your grades." I reassured. He looked at me.
"Will you tutor me?" he asked.
"What?" I scoffed.
"Well, we take the same subjects and you're getting As in all of them. So, can you please tutor me?" he asked. I sighed.
"I don't know, babe. Whenever I tutor you, it always ends in sex." I chuckled.
"You act like that's a bad thing." He smirked.
"It is when your future is on the line." I sighed, making him return it.
"Okay. I'll tutor you, but that's all those sessions are going to be. I love you, but we can't hook up instead of revising, especially now that you may lose the scholarship." I spoke.
"Okay. Thank you, babe, I promise that I'll wait until after our sessions to fuck you." He laughed. I returned it before pecking his lips.
Ashton
I walked out of school, swinging my bag over my shoulder as I texted Ashton.
Y/N: Will be over in half an hour x.
I sent it before stuffing my phone into my pocket. I glanced over to the football pitch and my eyebrows furrowed. I walked towards the guy jogging but sighed as I realised who it was.
"Ash!" I yelled. He looked at me and smiled as he stopped running.
"Hey, babe." He smiled as he leant in to kiss me.
"I don't think so, not whilst you smell like that." I scoffed, wincing slightly as he dripped with sweat.
"You told me that you were going home two hours ago, have you been running this entire time?" I questioned. He paused.
"Um...no..."
"Don't lie to me." I warned. He sighed.
"Fine, yes, I've been doing laps for two hours, but coach said that if I want to keep my spot of team captain, I need to keep myself fit." He panted, shrugging.
"And the doctor said that if you wanted to keep your spot of team captain, you need to take it easy and not push yourself. Who do you think is more worth listening to?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. He nodded.
"Okay, babe. I'll take it easy." He promised.
"Good. What you're doing can't be healthy." I sighed. He shrugged before grabbing his bag.
"You're coming over, right?" he asked, taking my hand.
"Yeah." I nodded as he started to walk.
"You want to join me in the shower?" he smirked, looking down at me.
"Why wouldn't I?" I grinned, making him laugh as he walked out of the school gates.
