Hoard

"Good job. I thought you were going to be an idiot and jump off the wall," Michael hisses in my ear as I keep my gaze on Calum.

"What do you mean?" I mumble, wincing a bit when he twists my wrist.

"You would have been zombie meat right as your feet touched the ground on the other side," Michael chuckles evilly causing a scowl to form on my face. How could they know about the hoard on the other side of the wall and not be worried?

"So you know?" I whisper yell, pushing myself away from Michael with all of my force. My body ends up in the dirt as I struggle to get up, quickly realizing that my hands are tied behind my back.

"Well, I know that we would have shot you dead," He huffs rolling his eyes. Calum helps me off the ground but I distance myself away from him.

Eyeing the four boys, I realize that they have no clue about the flesh eating monsters that are ready to break through these worn walls at any second. Clearly they are stupid enough to not keep checking on the outside instead of just hiding away.

"Too bad you wouldn't of had to because if you haven't noticed, that hoard from the woods is ready to tear out our throats!" I raise my voice a bit only to have them roll their eyes.

"I'm not kidding! Just listen," I command, turning to the wall. Embarrassingly enough, the monsters on the other side decide to be quiet.

"I don't hear any-" I cut Ashton off by slamming my foot into the wall causing a brick to fall from the top. A large uproar sounds form the other side, and I turn to the guys to see their shocked expression.

"There's gotta be at least a hundred if it's the group from the woods," Luke breaths out frantically, hitting Michaels arm.

"We'll be fine... We can uh, use those machine guns we found in that warehouse," Ashton suggests warily.

"No, that would just attract more," Michael answers, chewing on his lip.

As they argue about their options, I notice a sheet of metal in the back yard. A couple of pieces of wood hold it steady as it connects to the rather sturdy brick wall. The sheet of metal begins to wobble back and forth when I realize that it is apart of the barricade holding the walkers out.

"Calum," I whisper since he's the only one not participating in the argument, "untie me,"

"What?" He questions.

"Please," I beg, not taking my eyes off of the piece of metal. Calum decides to cooperate and frees my hands from the rope. He then notices my frightened stare and follows it to the collapsing wall, Terror radiating off both of our bodies.

"Get inside!" I scream watching the wall fall to the ground, revealing a bunch of walkers.

Their eyes all snap towards where I'm looking but I take off in a sprint before they can say anything. I rush to the front door, followed shortly behind by the other four as we make or way inside.

"Give me my bow!" I plead, eyeing the back door to make sure they haven't found us.

"Fück no, you'll kill us," Michael hisses, pointing his machete at me.

"No time to fight! Get to the basement," Ashton orders frantically, grabbing his samurai sword off the wall.

"But we'll be trapped!" I whisper yell back at him, flinching when pounding sounds from the front door.

Luke, Michael, and Ashton all ignore me as they rush down into the basement. Calum stops in the doorway, looking at me with worry-filled eyes.

"Come on, you have to trust us!" Calum calls to me over the moans from outside. The wood begins to splinter from the walkers pushing on the front door so I decide to not ask questions.

"Just so we get this straight, I will never ever, trust any one of you," I growl to Calum's face.

Just as I'm about to rush into the downstairs I notice my bow hidden with the quiver under a shelf. My eyes widen and Calum immediately notices what I'm up to.

"Don't you dare," He starts but I'm already sprinting across the room to retrieve it.

I slide across the floor and rip it out from under the metal shelving. My hands push myself off the ground as I start back to basement door, only to be interrupted by the sound of breaking wood. The horror of knowing what the sound was caused by sends me stumbling over a bag left on the ground.

"Kiko!" Calum yells, taking a gun out and shooting off the hungry walkers that are eagerly reaching for me.

"Calum! Shut the fücking door she tried to kill you anyway!" Ashton screeches as I scramble off the floor.

I take one last look at the jaw snapping monsters who are getting dangerously close as I push past Calum and Ashton. The door slams shut behind us and I watch as Calum raises his hand to press a black button on the wall.

The lights of the basement flicker off, leaving us all in complete darkness. Great, how is that supposed to help us? A deafening sound then echoes through the room like nails on a chalk board causing me to wince. I start to walk backwards in an attempt to find something to support myself on but instead trip over somebody's legs.

I push myself off the ground and end up sitting next to the person who tripped me. It's far too dark to see who it is and the annoying sound keeps me from asking. Whatever it is, it's sure as hëll hurting my ears a lot.

As a result, I find myself burying my head into the persons shoulder, attempting to drown out the ear piercing noise. Hopefully I don't go deaf after this... I feel a hand snake around my waste as they pull me closer. Normally I would have pushed them off and threatened to kill'em, but during this moment, I appreciate the comfort.

I keep both of my hands cupped around my ears and pull my knees to my chest. The noise is starting to fade away, but that still doesn't change the fact the someone is leaning their head on mine... I can only hope that it's at least Luke's since he's caused me the least trouble.

It'd still be disgusting though.

Soon the ear piercing screeching comes to a halt, allowing me to open my eyes to see the lights flicker back on. The room illuminates revealing new steel walls, almost like magic. How? I slowly remove my hands from my ears and spot Calum staring at me in what looks to be anger.

"What?" I snap, quickly remembering the hand that found its way to my waist, "EW!"

As soon as my eyes meet the person, I scramble from their grasp, making a strange gagging sound just for affect. I can't even believe I let him put a finger on me.

"What the fück, Michael," I grumble, throwing my hands in the air.

"What? You're the one who burried your face into my neck... Not my fault I thought you were Luke," He smirks, crossing his arms over his chest. I scoff at him, only to turn my attention back to what's important.

"May I ask what just happened," I roll my eyes pointing to the fallen shelves of instruments.

"When the apocalypse first started, our security built this cabin. It was meant to protect us, but they didn't get to finish the wall in time, so we had to finish it with that metal piece. Anyway, they built this basement for emergencies. That button sent these walls up which protects us from anything on the outside," Ashton explains.

"Why?"

"What do you mean why? To protect us, obviously," Luke laughs, leaning against a shelf.

"But why protect you guys? Just because you were famous doesn't mean you should have been the ones put in protection. What about the other normal people who needed help? Why not them?" I rant, watching there faces recognize my point.

"I ask myself that every day," I hear Calum whisper, none of the others noticed but me.

"One thing, it's great that the hoard can't get us and all... But what about food and stuff?" I ask, viewing the boys worried faces.
