Q1. What book do you wish you could have written?
A. I wished I had written Twilight. For some reason I feel like I missed out on an opportunity to to jump on the vampire trend, especially since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of my favorite shows growing up.
Q2. Where do you get your inspiration?
A. I get my inspiration from my personal experiences, movies, and other novels I read.
Q3. Why do you write?
A. I'm currently a senior in college majoring in Psychology and Minoring in Biology so I write as a way to relieve stress. Most of what I read focuses on mental health so writing allows me to express the emotions and feelings that are projected onto me. Writing was also the first career I had planned out for myself when I was a child, so I'm glad I was able to find Wattpad and get back into the swing of things.
Q4. What is the hardest part of writing for you?
A. The hardest part of writing for me is when I have to kill off a character. As you write your story, you become attached to each of your characters, and you have to find a way to gracefully let them go.
Q5. What writing advice do you have for aspiring authors?
A. My advice is to never feel afraid of expressing yourself. There are times that you'll look at what you've written and feel like it isn't good. The thing is, you'll never know unless you put it out there. When I first joined Wattpad I was afraid to post anything because I felt like I wasn't good enough, and that nobody would read anything I posted. I decided one day to step out of my comfort zone and post a story. Today that very story has won a Watty, so don't ever undermine your talent. Just write what makes you happy and take a risk because you never know where it may lead you.
Bulletin: Currently I'm revising and editing His Private Maid for publication. I hope to publish the book sometime next year.
