(3rd Person PoV)

After one last maintenance check, Aki was ready to go to Neo Domino City.

"Hey, good luck out there," Blitz told her.

"Be careful and don't get caught," Taka said.

"Go and kick Crow's tail!" Nerve cheered.

"Aki, before you go, take this," Rally gave her a card and she looked at it.

"One-shot Booster? But this is your favorite card," Aki said.

"I want you to have it. Think of it as a good luck charm to help you blast through the pipeline," Rally explained.

"I appreciate it, thank you," Aki gave him a smile before turning her head to the subway line where her D-Wheel was lined up on.

"I'll be back before you know it," she told them before revving up and sped through the subway line with Rally shouting behind her, "Good luck!"

From an opening of the abandoned subway line, Aki shot out of it on her D-Wheel and sped on the road.

Somewhere, a Sector Security clerk was looking at a screen when the screen detected something.

It must be that woman's D-Wheel! He realized.

"Ushio! She finally appeared!" He called out to the officer who raced out.

"Keep track of her! Do not lose sight of that woman!" He called out.

I swear, I will crush you to bits, Satellite scum! He thought as he got on his own D-Wheel.

While this was happening, Nerve, Blitz, Taka and Rally were racing towards a rooftop and Taka pulled out a beaten laptop.

On the screen was a layout of Satellite and a moving dot on it.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting her to be near the pipeline so soon," Blitz noted.

"We have been training for this. No slip ups," Rally told him.

As Aki was still driving through the streets, Ushio on his D-Wheel nearly rammed into her in an attempt to slow her down.

She sped up however, smashing through a barrier and jumped over a gateway with Ushio still on her trail.

"You again?" She asked.

"Yes, me again. Didn't think I'd let you get away again," Ushio told her.

Aki revved up the engine to speed up again in the secluded and clear pathway in the factory that they just entered but Ushio said, "oh no you don't! This will be the perfect place to test out my new deck. I forcibly activate the field spell, Speed World!"

The area around them turned purple and an automatic voice came from the screen of Aki's D-Wheel.

"Duel mode on. Autopilot stand by."

"You're not getting away that easily," Ushio laughed.

I don't have time for this! Aki thought but once a turbo duel starts, there isn't an easy way out.

"Fine, if it's a duel you want, then a duel you'll get!" Aki shouted, determined.

"Duel!"

Ushio - 4000 LPS S.C: 0

V.S

Aki - 4000 LPS S.C: 0

"I'll start things off with normal summoning Gate Blocker (ATK: 100. DF: 2000) in defense mode," Ushio started.

A long, block like figure appeared in front of Aki's D-Wheel which slowed her down.

"I set this card down and end my turn," he finished.

"I'm up," Aki drew a card.

S.C : 0 —> 1

"Huh? How come you gained Speed Counters and I didn't?" Aki asked.

"It's due to the ability of my Gate Blocker. If it's face up on the field, then you don't gain any Speed Counters," Ushio explained.

That'll slow me down even more! I can't slow down now, I have to remember why I'm attempting to escape, Aki thought.

"I summon Violet Witch (ATK: 1100. DF: 1200)," she started.

"Ha! You summoned a monster that can't destroy my Gate Blocker," Ushio mocked.

"Maybe so but a friend of mine gave me something that will help me get through this duel. When I normal summoned a monster, I'm able to special summon One-Shot Booster (ATK: 0. DF: 0) from my hand," Aki explained and a small, yellow robot monster appeared on her field.

"Now attack, Violet Witch!" She shouted.

"You can't destroy my monster with a weak monster," Ushio told her.

"And that's where One-Shot Booster's effect comes in. When one of my monster battles yours, I can release One-Shot Booster to destroy it," Aki explained.

Violet Witch's attack deflected off of Gate Blocker which made Aki lose life points but One-Shot Booster rammed into Gate Blocker, causing the two of them to be destroyed.

4000 —> 3100 LPS

It was a risky move but worth it. Thank you, Rally, Aki thought as she sped up and reached the pipeline.

"Your plan is flawed because I can now activate my trap, Broken Blocker! When a monster in defense mode whose defense points are higher than its attack points is destroyed in battle, I can special summon up to two monsters with the same name as the monster that was destroyed and summon them face up in defense mode," Ushio stated and two more Gate Blockers appeared.

"...alright. I set these two cards down and end my turn," Aki said.

"She's not going to make it on time! The pipeline closes in order to let the garbage go through. Aki will be trapped if she fails to make it to the door in the pipeline," Blitz said as they watched the duel on the beaten laptop.

"No, she will make it! I believe in her!" Rally argued.

"But Ushio is slowing her down. It's way different from the simulation practice," Blitz pointed out.

Back at the duel, it was Ushio's turn and he drew a card.

S.C: 1 —> 2

"I summon Gorogor (ATK: 1350. DF: 1600)," Ushio started.

A huge black ball with a cartoon face on it appeared.

"Now attack Violet Witch! Flatten it!" He shouted.

Gorogor did a spin and jumped in the air and landed on Aki's monster, destroying it in the process.

3100 —> 2850 LPS

"You don't have a chance of winning or getting away. You're trapped on both sides," Ushio laughed.

"When Violet Witch is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, I can add a plant monster with 1500 or less defense points from my deck to my hand," Aki said, ignoring him.

"Scum," he insulted her as she took out a card from her deck.

"And when Rose Fairy (ATK: 600. DF: 1200) is added to my hand by a card effect, I can special summon it onto the field," Aki added.

A small, pink fairy appeared.

"Tch! Take your turn then, Satellite scum," Ushio stated.

Aki drew a card and only Ushio's speed counters went up.

S.C: 2 —> 3

"I summon the tuner Copy plant (ATK: 0. DF: 0) and use its effect. Once per turn, if there's another plant monster on the field, Copy plant can copy its level. Rose Fairy is level 3 so Copy plant copies that level to become level 3," Aki explained.

LV: 1 —> 3

"Level 3 Copy plant tunes level 3 Rose Fairy. Out of the shadows, comes out a beautiful flower with a tremendous power! Synchro Summon! Appear, Splendid Rose (ATK: 2200. DF: 2000)!" Aki shouted.

"Alright, now this where the real duel begins!" Rally cheered and everyone else celebrated.

"Now my monster will attack! Iron Hot Thorn!" She shouted and her monster tossed a thorny vine.

4000 —>3150 LPS

"Turn over," she said.

"That's it? Heh, your efforts will be in vain," Ushio laughed but Aki didn't say anything.

"My turn," Ushio drew a card and added on, "I summon Jutte Knight (ATK: 700. DF: 900) and guess what? This is a tuner monster," Ushio explains.

"What?" Aki sounded surprised. Looks like his deck was updated since they last dueled.

"Level 2 Jutte Knight tunes Level 4 Gate Blocker. Synchro Summon! Appear, Goyo Guardian (ATK: 2800. DF: 2000). Don't think that you were the only one to use Synchro monsters," Ushio mocked as his monster appeared on the field.

It was a rather buff looking monster with silver and indigo robes while have an interesting hairstyle.

"And now I will attack your Splendid Rose! Goyo Lariat!" Ushio shouted.

His monsters began to spin cables around and shot them through Splendid Rose, destroying it.

2850 —> 2250 LPS

"And now Goyo Guardian's effect activates. When it destroys your monster, I'm able to special summon it onto my field face up in defense mode. So that means your Synchro monster is mine!" Ushio explained and Splendid Rose appeared on his field, curled up and turned blue to signify it being in defense mode.

"I then activate two Speed Spells. Both of them are Sonic Buster! When I have four speed counters, I can inflict damage to you equal to half the attack points of a face up monster that I control. For the first one, I choose to inflict damage to you based on half of Goyo Guardian's attack points so take 1400 points of damage!" Ushio shouted.

2250 —> 850 LPS

"And I will use the next one to do the same thing," Ushio said.

"I activate the trap, Rainbow Life. By discarding a card, any damage I would have taken, I gain it instead," Aki said.

850 —> 2250 LPS

"You bought yourself some time but that will never be enough. Scum from Satellite will never have hope of escaping," Ushio mocked.

"All you ever say is scum over and over again. Don't you have any other words to way?" Aki asked before starting her turn by drawing a card.

S.C: 3 —> 4

Finally, she thought as she looked at the speed counters going up.

"I summon the tuner, Glow-Up Bulb (ATK:100. DF: 100)," she started.

"What are you up to? You don't have any Synchro material on your field," Ushio said.

"Not after I activate the Speed spell, Dash Pilfer," Aki said.

"But you shouldn't have any speed counters!" Ushio pointed out.

"But I do have speed counters. Take a closer look," Aki explained.

Ushio looked at the D-Wheel monitor and saw that Aki has 4 speed counters like him.

"But how?" Ushio asked and checked Aki's graveyard to see an unfamiliar card.

"A trap? You used Slip Stream when I activate my own speed spells. Damn you," Ushio stated.

"Now my Speed spell can come into effect. When I have four or more speed counters, I can take a monster that you control in face up defense mode until the end of this turn. I choose to take Splendid Rose back," Aki explained.

Her monster came back onto the field and she sped up suddenly.

Ushio then noticed the exit at the end of the pipeline and said, "oh I see what you're planning to do." He also sped up more in order to catch up to Aki.

"I tune level 1 Glow-Up Bulb with level 6 Splendid Rose. Frolicking through the fields, strengthening your might. Synchro Summon! Rise, Dazzling Poppy (ATK: 2500. DF: 2200)!" Aki shouted.

A humanoid with green plant clothes, short red hair and had poppies decorated on the clothes.

"Your monster doesn't have nearly enough attack points to beat my monster!" Ushio pointed out.

"Maybe not right now but not after this. I activate Dazzling Poppy's effect. By banishing a plant monster from my graveyard, I can target a monster on your field and halve its attack points and Dazzling Poppy gains those attack points until the end of this turn. Fragrance Snatch!" Aki explained.

A red, scentless, mist appeared and surrounded Goyo Guardian.

2800 —> 1400 ATK

2500 —> 3900 ATK

"No way!" Ushi gasped.

"Now attack! Sneak Poppy Attack!" Aki shouted.

Out of the mist, green vines shot out of it and attacked Goyo Guardian, destroying it.

3150 —> 650 LPS

S.C: 4 —> 2

"Now the secondary effect of Dazzling Poppy comes in. When I successfully destroyed a monster, I can special summon a plant monster from my hand but its effects are negated and I can make a second attack with that monster. So I special summon Talaya, Princess of Cherry Blossoms (ATK: 2800. DF: 1200)," Aki added on.

A humanoid wearing a purple and pink dress, long violet hair and the bottom surrounding her was large sakura petals.

"My first attack will be against Gate Blocker. Petal Gust!" Aki shouted and using the fan that she was holding, Talaya swept the air and the massive gust was strong enough to destroy the Gate Blocker which helped Aki sped up more.

"My second attack will be direct. Make this count, Talaya with Sakura Gust Burst!" Aki shouted and large amounts of wind started to form up with sakura petals flying around. Talaya swept the air with her fan, directing it to Ushio with a bang.

650 —> 0 LPS

WINNER: Aki Izayoi

As soon as she won, suddenly trash debris came bursting through in multitudes.

Aki swept out of the way of a couple and ducking sometimes to avoid getting hit by some of the debris.

Ushio was not so lucky and got blocked by the debris coming through.

Aki sped up some more and slid under the exit door before it closed.

Meanwhile, Nerve, Taka, Blitz and Rally were holding in their breaths as they stared at the laptop. The dot that indicated Aki's location wasn't beeping.

Is she ok? Rally thought, concerned.

A few seconds went by and still nothing...

Until...

"It's beeping again," Blitz noted.

"She made it," Taka let out a sigh of relief.

In a different location, Aki drove out of the Pipeline and skidded to a stop.

She took of a couple of deep breaths in and out before looking up at a highway above her location. There was someone standing there. Someone very familiar.

"It's been a while...Aki," Crow said.

"Crow," Aki stared at him.

A/N: hello hello again! How's it going? I finally got this chapter done, huh.

I did a lot of looking at plant cards and there aren't a lot of plant synchros for Aki to use and she doesn't have Black Rose Dragon or its variants yet. Although I could give her Aromages sometime in the line. But regardless, I'm probably going to make up cards for her like the one that appeared her.

I'll show the card info at the end of chapters like this one.

Plant/Synchro/Effect
By banishing a plant monster from your GY, target a monster that your opponent controls and halve its ATK points. Add those ATK points to this card until the end of the turn. When this card successfully destroys a monster in battle, special summon a Plant monster from your hand but its effects are negated. That card can attack two times. During the end phase, destroy that card.
ATK: 2500 DF: 2200
