Week 11
What is something that Sky (as in the character not you lol) found out about one of her friends? Write about it...
(Pre written and sorry it's late. I've had some stuff happen and lost track of time. This is in the POV of Leo, not Sky, but shows what she learned. Enjoy)
The red truck; its flaming hot red compliments the ocean blue sky. I was so focused on the details that I didn't notice a hand on my paper. Soon it fingered walked to the red truck girl, the owner of the finger giggled. I look up to see the red truck girl in the flesh.
"Is that me?" She asked surprised, but in a good way. Being the stupid idiot I am I only noticed her voice, being sweeter than chocolate covered strawberries, softer than silk, cuter than a puppy. She kneed down to my face level and put her elbows on the table with her face on top of them. I noted in agreement. She grinned, "you're really talented".
I smiled at her compliment.
So..." she started but got cut off by Taylor Eensel. Her highlights as fake as that smile. She was the rich daddy's girl who had gotten anything she ever wanted but attention from her parents. Her father was a older man that owned half the business in this small town. Her mother was younger, kind person that had passed away at the birth of this brat.
Taylor smiled "if you want me to show you around school I would be willing to." But Sky just smiled back.
"No thanks, Leo seems pretty nice, I think he'll do fine showing me around." She placed an arm around me. " you don't bite right?" She joked.
Taylor's venomous smirk faded as she glared at my direction. I could feel her hatred radiating off of her small body, she was a ticking time bomb. And definitely wasn't fond of me, yet I wasn't quite fond of her either so overall it was fine with me. Sky ignored the situation and turned to me smiling.
"Let's go! I need to find those vending machines I overheard people talking about. I'm starving!"
My lips curved into a small smile hoping she wouldn't notice my profound mood. I was glad I was chosen to give her a tour of the school, but the fear of embarrassment and humiliation loomed in the air. Although this girl seemed to be one of those "future Ms. Popular" she seemed to be quite the character. I didn't exactly know how to explain to her what things were without speaking but I eventually gave up and headed straight for the vending machines.
"Yes!" She squeaked as she ran to the front of the machine. She stopped and examined the snacks before turning back around to look at me. "Want anything?"
I shook my head no.
"Ok, your loss." She smiled and turned back to the vending machine. "Who could turn down free food?" Sky joked.
She threw her small hand bag off her shoulder and began rummaging through her it. A nervous expression began to emerge on her face. Her eyebrows slanted and her smile fell.
"I'm sorry but do you have a dollar or so?"
I nodded my head and let my satchel slide off my arm. She grinned once more as she watched me pull out all my art supplies to get to my wallet.
"You do art?"
I nodded my head yes.
"I've always tried mastering it. It very hard."
I didn't respond.
"Cat got your tongue?"
I nodded yes.
I pulled a five dollar bill out of my leather wallet, the brown craving of a star glittered through my hand as, I handed the bill to her. She thanked me with a smile and inserted the dollar into the machine, letting the snack fall into the tray below.
