Rey trudged up to Ben's door and stood outside for a few moments before she finally knocked. Her hands pounded at the door a couple of times before he swung it open.

"What are you doing here?"

"I've come to —"

Before she could say anything a girl came out from behind him.

"Hey Ben, what should I do now?"

"I'll be there in a second Phasma."

Phasma nodded before going back inside.

"Is that your new girlfriend?" Rey asked her voice bitter.

"No and if she was, why would you care? You couldn't even kiss me back!"

"I've come to talk about that —"

"Talk about what? You obviously don't have the feelings I wished you had for me."

"But Ben —"

"I'm sorry Rey. I hope the best for you and everything but I have to go."

"Ben you didn't even let me speak!'

"Cause there's nothing for you to say except for the fact you don't like me! Is it cause I'm older than you? Is it cause my hair is too long? My nose too big? Is it because I have my bad days? Is it because I got drunk in front of you? What is it Rey?"

"I —"

"You can't give me an answer right? Just forget it," he started to close the door.

"Ben please!"

"And I thought you actually liked me back," before she could answer he shut the door.

"Ben," she mumbled, her voice barely a whisper. She went to make things right but it didn't work.

Maybe she was right about it all along. Maybe she shouldn't have gotten herself involved in this whole thing. Maybe she shouldn't call off the dare when Finn told her to. Anything would've been better than this.

But that's what happens when Rey decides to love, it all goes so wrong.
