SCENE TWENTY-ONE

MARK and EVERLY were sitting at the dining table facing each other. MARK takes a deep breath before speaking.

MARK: Will you still commit suicide?

EVERLY: No. I've learned that...everybody has it hard. Some have it worse. The most I can do is persevere and hope that things get better. So no. I won't commit suicide.
