Kinsale
12.10.2014 (or the 16th? I don't know)
On saturday, I went to Kinsale. That's a small town near to Cork and next to the sea. I took the bus at 11 o'clock in Cork and I was in Kinsale at 12. First, I went to the castlepark village. That's when you go over a bridge. It's not really Kinsale anymore.
There, I want to visit James Fort, but I didn't find the way. So, I looked around and discovered a beautiful beach. The tide was out and so we had a lot of sable and a long beach. I spent there one hour before I went back, because I was hungry. Back in Kinsale, I ate something and walked a bit around the small town. The town is pretty idyllic. All the small streets and the small shops. It looked a bit like the Diagon Alley in Harry Potter (Winkelgasse). But there weren't so many people like in the movie. Excately, there was nearly nobody.
After I ate a bit, I went again over the bridge. But this time I went in the other direction to Sandycove. I walked a long time along the street. Alone. Sometimes, there came a car but that was all. It was a really long walk and I thought I never would see the sea. I mean, the only reason why I walked there was the sea... But after an hour along the street and the forest, I finally saw it. The open sea. I was really surprised how beautiful it looked but one reason for it was that I had my sunglasses on and the coulours were a bit different - in a better way ;)
There was also a beach and because the tide was out I could walk over rocks and the sable which I really enjoyed. You can find pictures on Facebook.
Later, I went up to the hill because I saw people walking there and so I wanted to test it as well. And you know what? I didn't regret it. There was the open sea, the cliffs and the tipically green nature of Ireland. The most of the time I was alone there and I just sat there, on a cliff, and enjoyed the sea with its smell and noise. I hadn't the time to discover all, I really liked to walk more than I did. But it was late and it is a long walk back to the city. All pictures are on Facebook and I'm sorry that I couldn't update earlier. But the time is flying.
It feels like: Yesterday, I was excited and scary to fly to Ireland. Today, I'm in Ireland and I really love it. And tomorrow, I may be back in Germany...
Grettings and tons of love
Johanna
