Loneliness is the edge of precipice,

between the land of welcoming solitude,

and the dark depths of despair.

The delicate ephemeral balance,

Between quiet contemplation of ideas,

and the distraught introspection of actions.

Loneliness is being alone in a crowd,

or being free and honest with oneself.

A word that encompasses the world for you,

Or leaves you completely lost in the world around you.
