203. Boredom

"Write about being bored or make a list of different ways to entertain yourself."

That is easy. When bored read a book, drink coffee or listen to music. Better still, do all of them together. If that does not work, stand in the balcony or at a window that looks out to the outside, preferably with a glimpse of the sky and a hint of trees, keep staring at nothing. It works, stare at nothing, nothing stares back at you and you realise how much you really have. And if even this does not work, try talking to yourself, not loudly for that would construed as a sign of mental debility but in your mind (what the psychologists call as introspection) and listen to your heart answer. Interesting conversation that lighten your mood or if you are a writer, wondrous story ideas pop all over, you have to start putting them down and boredom dissipates.
