Day 82 - Story help #2

I slowly fell to earth, with my back facing the ground. The Witherstorm was slowly falling apart behind me. "We did it," I said to myself. Time sped up once I hit the ground. Pain shot through my body. My sword hit the ground next to me. Reuben ran toward me. "We...we did it buddy" I smiled weakly. "I couldn't do it with...without you." I petted his head "I don't for...forget me...and I promise I won't forget you." I hugged him "I'll miss you Reuby" Everything went black

Chapter 1

It was pitch black for a second. I woke up from what I thought was a dream. I was sitting in the middle of the forest, in the supposedly middle of the night, nothing around for miles. My armor was gone alone with my whole inventory. I stood off and dusted myself off. I was lost. I walked in a random direction to see if I could find anyone. Not like I was going to anyway.

The moon shone above my head as I wondered the forest. I moved slowly not letting my guard down in case any mobs spawn. You would think I should have made a make-shift sword to protect myself from anything out here, but you try breaking trees with your fist with the pressure of being shot in the back of the head in the middle of the night.

I turned walked around a tree to see skeleton pointing an arrow right in my face. I processed is for a short while and ran the opposite direction of it. It began shooting at me and dove behind a tree. Almost immediately after hiding behind the tree, I hear the sound of a skeleton being slain. I stick my head from behind the tree to see an orange and purple figure picking up the pile of bones and arrows.

I felt a presence behind me and I turned around and noticed a short dark-skinned girl with orange hair standing right behind me.

“What are you doing out here, it dangerous,” I said to her.

She just rolled her eyes. “Just… follow me,” she responded

I followed her into her house and it was spacious. Orange and purple carpet laced the floor. She sat down on a chair and signaled me to sit on the one across from her. “What’s your name, stranger,” the short girl asked me as I sat down.

“My name is Jesse, but maybe you knew that already” I responded, my cockiness getting ahead of me.

She looked at me with the blankest stare I could imagine. “Yeah, no, I’ve never heard of you in my life” She said. I pursed my lips. “So what brings you to the middle of the forest?” Marigold asked

“Okay, funny story actually, I um… I died,” I responded, expecting her to not believe me.

“Oh. You died. Happens to me all the time,” What was she talking about? How does one die multiple times? “Why did you spawn here? Did you not have a bed?” She asked me.

“I remember having a bed, but I’m pretty sure it got destroyed back when the Witherstorm was attacking,” I explained.

“Witherstorm?” She asked. She clearly had no idea on what happened.

“It's a long story, tell ya later,”

“Huh. Where are you from anyway?”

“I live, er, used to live in a treehouse near a town called Beacontown.”

“Beacontown, huh” She stood up and gestured me to follow her. We went up a flight of stairs to a room where a huge map took up one wall. The map had a lot of words written on it, most likely marking placed Marigold has been.

She placed a block in front of the map and ran her fingers across the map, looking for something. “Beacontown, Beacontown. Here it is. Okay Jesse. You want to go here, right?” She pointed at a circle on a map labeled ‘Beacontown.’ I nodded. “ And we’re…” She trailed off, her finger gliding across the map. “Here,” she pointed at a big red circle, on the opposite end of the map from Beacontown.

“That’s all the way--,” I began.

“--On the other side of the map, I know. Took me about two-three weeks to get there myself.” She said.

Two to three weeks?! Well it could be worse. Could be a month.

Little help?
