I sigh reading my phone. I decided on not telling Chris what happened with Latrelle because I regret it so much . Especially after Chris apologized . Being around him is going to make the guilt eat me alive and I know I'm going to end up telling him .

I was already dressed because I couldn't sleep last night so I just waited until six in the morning to get ready . I really hope we just go watch a movie, or something that doesn't require a lot of talking .

"Goodmorning beautiful " he greets me as I get in the car with a kiss "how was your night ? "

"Uh good yeah I went to sleep , I wasn't up " I cringe at how fast I answered that . I need to relax.

"That's good " he chuckles "you want some breakfast? " he ask

"Yeah " I answer fast again . What is up with me . He pulls up at IHOP. I attempt to rush out the door but he grabs my hand .

"You okay ?" He ask smiling .

"Yep " I smile back . We get out the car and walk in being seated . I try my hardest to stay focused on the menu because lord knows I don't want to talk .

The waitress introduced herself , then ask what we wanted to drink . "Water please " I say

"Uhm orange juice " Chris says . She nods and walks off ."so..? "

"So" I say

"Why you acting so weird ? " he ask

"I'm not acting weird " I lie

"What did you end up doing last night ? " he ask

"Uhm nothing just watched a movie " I answer quickly . The waitress brought are drinks then takes our order thank god . Now I can keep water in my mouth.

" I ended up talking to ya boy Latrelle " he says and I spit out some of my water .

"How , why , when? " I ask . He looks at me weird then Starts to chuckle .

"Well after I sent you that text message , I went to his party only to find that you wasn't there . He said you told him you couldn't come because you had plans with Kim. So I chilled with him and had a talk . He a real cool dude " he shrugs . Only if he knew . "I'm sorry for overreacting , I just be living in the past you know "

"Baby believe me you don't have to apologize no more " I say starting to get sweaty.

"He invited us to this thing cookout in the park later on , you wanna go ? " he ask . No I don't want to go ! That is going to be awkward as hell . But if I say no he's going to be suspicious.

"Sure "I smile . The food came out and we started eating . We were the quietest table in there . I couldn't even look at him without feeling guilty , why did I do it why?

"Adoria why are you being so quiet ? " he ask concerned .

"Nothing " I say quickly " I meant just enjoying my food " he gave me a look then got back to his food

"Awe damn they cheated me " he says and I jump starting to get sweaty. Oh my god I'm caught , what do I do ? Do I tell him the truth or lie ? "I asked for four waffles they gave me three " he finishes . Okay I really need to calm down .

I smile and grab his hand "Chris I love you " I mumble .

"That's What she said " he says and I snap my neck at him" I'm just playing " he laughs and I join

"finally you acting normal , you was creeping me out "

"Yeah yeah whatever , these pancakes are so good " I say eating my cupcake pancakes .

"Fatass " he mumbles and I hit him .

"I went to visit my mom " he says

"Oh my god really ? How is she ? "

"She's fine. Pops moved out "he shrugs " she seems happier "

"That's good " I smile

"How is ms Smith ? " he ask

I put my head down "the doctor says she only got about a month to live , but we hoping that's not true " I say

"Damn , that's why Lucas ask to double up on his supply "

"Wait what ? " I ask

"Nothing " he says focusing on his orange juice . Lucas was falling way to deep in that drug dealing shit , I don't want him to end up like Melvin . May he Rest In Peace .

We finish eating then walk to the car .when we get in chris kisses me over and over . "Okay okay " I laugh pushing him off me .

"Don't push me away lil ugly " he says starting to kiss me again . "Who cologne you been putting on ? " he ask. Latrelle scent was still on my skin and I hated it , I tried to wash it off but no matter how hard I scrub it wouldn't leave .

"Maybe it came from Lucas " I lie .

"Better have or imma have to lay a hand on somebody "he says holding up his fist . I roll my eyes and check my phone .
