June 15

I wake up sweating and breathing hard . I look around panicking not knowing where I was . I look over and see I was by myself then it hit me . I was at Chris get away house . I start to control my breathing then lay back down . These flash back dreams are starting to get out of hand . I guess being back in my city is causing me to remember everything, even though it wasn't hard to forget .

I check my phone seeing I had no notifications , ouch . Looking on Instagram I watch Kimberly and Lucas stories seeing they were having a dance contest . Lucas was dancing to Ciara on Kim's story and she was laughing so hard . Kim was dancing to Ginuwine  on Lucas story . No matter how much they fought , they always have fun together which makes me smile . I hear there mother in the background laughing which makes me happier . I'm so glad she's gets to be home now . I really hope she's okay and I really hope Lucas stops working for guap .

"You hungry ? " Chris ask entering the room eating a popsicle and holding another one with the other one hand .

"Really Chris ? A popsicle in the morning " I laugh

"I mean unless you want me to cook " he shrugs .

"Never mind I'll just eat the popsicle " I say getting up . The last thing I want Chris to do is cook , dude can't even boil water .

I follow him to the backyard and sit in the chair . It was very well designed area . He hands me my popsicle and we toast .

"Ou what flavor is this ? " I ask it was good .

"I got to get you home "he says standing .

"Why ?you wanna get rid of me already ? " I ask .

"Not at all but Lucas keep threatening me that if I don't bring you home he gone send me to the home , whatever that means " he says and I laugh. That boy always talking about killing somebody.

We get in his car and start driving to the house . " what y'all doing for Kim's birthday , ain't it on the 20th? " he ask

"Yeah , I have an idea on what to do " I say . I tell him what the idea was then we pull up to the house . I kiss him goodbye for like a good 3 minutes then walk in the house . I see Lucas and Kim in the kitchen singing Mariyah Carey's emotion . They didnt even notice I walked in.

"You make me feel so high" Lucas sings attempting to whistle . Kim was recoding him they were crazy . I close the door causing them to jump . Lucas clear his throat turning off the music .

"Wassup " he spoke in a deep voice .

"Nah lemme hear that whistle again " I laugh

"Bestie I missed you " kim jumps on me .

"Guess whos birthday is in 5 days ?" I ask

"Who's ? " Lucas ask . Kim mugs him and turns her attention back to me .

"Mine " she smiles . We go sit down at the table with Lucas and start talking about what she wanted .

"I really only want one thing " she says .

"What is that ? " I ask

"For mom to be there " she answers and I smile . "Oh and the newest iPhone "

"Tuh that's two things " Lucas says .

"Where y'all tryna go today ? " she ask .

"Guap dem throwing a kickback later on tonight in memory of Melvin " Lucas says causing me to tense up .

"We should go ! Anthony's going to be there " Kimberly smiles.

"I'm down  " lucas says and they look at me .

"Me too " I fake smile . Before they could call me out the door opens .

"Lucas come get the rest of these groceries out the car " ms Smith  says. Lucas does as told and helps his mother .

"Hey girls " ms Smith smiles .

"I have a big surprise for you all " she smiles . Her smile gives me more life .
"I can't tell you until the 20th " she smirks going upstairs

"But maaaa" Kim whines .i laugh . I wanted to know what it was to .

"Kim Anthony outside " Lucas says as he puts the groceries on the table.

"Why you ain't tell him to come in ? " she ask

"He said he needed to talk to you I don't know " he shrugs . She walks outside frowning I hope it's nothing serious.

"You not gone put the groceries up ? " I ask knowing his lazy self was really gone leave them sitting on the table .

"It ain't gone spoil in one day shit "he says . I shake my head and get up .

"Alright alright sit down ma I got it " he says hovering over me . After how many years and I'm still not over him ? Lol . I sit back down and start staring at nothing in particular.

"What ? " I say panicking knowing what trey is capable of.  He probably was seeing different ways  to raid there house and kill them .

I tense up why did they ask for me . I instantly regret not sticking to my original plan . I should just leave Chris to protect everyone . That's the only option .

"What's wrong love ? " he ask noticing my sudden uncomfortablimsm. I shake my head and he sits back down across from me . "You gone be straight  Ight ? Ian gone let nobody hurt you " he tells me making me feel better . I sigh . " now smile fa me " he says causing me to smile . " there we goooo "  he yells .

"No problem my baby " he says popping a cheeseball in his mouth. "Aye did my sister come back in yet ?" He ask .

"I don't think so " I say starting to worry about her .

He calls her and shakes his head . "Where you at ?" He says . Yay she answered.
"Nigga who told you to do that ? " he continues.
"Lemme speak to Austin " he says and I laugh .
"Austin , Anthony,Ass, same shit "
"Man just be home before the kickback " he says hanging up the phone .

"Her ugly self  went shopping with him " he mugs .

"Why you don't like Anthony? " I ask laughing.

" I just feel like he gone hurt her , Call it brother telepathy "he says"she won't listen to me though "

"Anyways " he rolls his eyes "go get ready  we finna dip " he tells me .

"Where we going ? " I ask so I can know what to wear

"I don't know but we getting out of here " he shrugs .

I go upstairs . I go to get my clothes I decide to wear them I start to hear coughing . It was coming from ms Smith room . The door was cracked I couldn't help but knock on it .

"Ms Smith are you okay ? " I ask remembering what Lucas told me .

"Fine sweetie " I hear her struggle to say .

"Okay let me know if you need anything " I say softly. I hope she is okay like she says .

"Adoria? " I hear before I walk into the bathroom .

"Yes ? " I ask going back by ms Smith room .

"Come In please " she ask . I walk in seeing a trail of blood leading to the bathroom .

"Are you okay?  " I mumble spotting her on the bathroom floor coughing up blood .

"Adoria i have cancer " she says and my heart begins to start beating slow .  "Doctor said I don't have much time " She sighs and begins to cry .i bend down and hug her. I even start to feel tears inching down my face .

"I haven't told Kimberly and Lucas yet  I can't see there faces knowing I have such a fatal  disease " she shakes her head .

"Are you taking treatment " I mumble .

"All the treatment they have , nothing's working , it's just spreading and spreading "she sobs.

"I'm so sorry " I cry I hate seeing her like this . Usually all she does is smile .

"I need you to make this the best birthday of Kim's life , because it could be the last one I spend with her " she says

"Baby I'm just telling the truth , make it one she can remember " she says " now go on and enjoy your day , don't worry about me " she smiles weakly .

I kiss her on her forehead and walk to the bathroom thinking about everything. This has been the most eventful summer yet . I get in the shower and get dressed , doing my hygiene .

I walk downstairs seeing Lucas sleep , laying his head on the kitchen table .
He was so cute . Snoring and everything. I had to record him . After I finished my video I posted it on my story and tagged amber .

"Lucas? " I shake his shoulder

"I'm ready " I'm say. He lift his head and look me up and down .

They should know what's going on with there mother but it wasn't my place to tell them . "Text kim and tell her and her nigga that they can meet us downtown if they want to " he says

We turn around seeing Kimberly , Anthony , and Chris walking towards us .

"Look at y'all looking all cute " Kim compliments .

"You know how we do " lucas says putting his arm around my shoulders looking at Chris . Causing us to laugh.

"Lucas we gotta hit one day man " Chris laughs Snatching me away as we walk towards the crowd .

"Ahh Kim come here I feel a pain in my stomach " he lies causing her to go over to him.

"Lucas I'm going to kill you " she grabs him and pulls him in the water . Anthony was laughing so hard .

"Nothing " I lie . Ms Smith and trey were stressing me out . Ms Smith because I didn't want anything to happen to her , and trey because I didn't want anything to happen to Chris. Today I'm going to break the news to Chris about me leaving him . I've came to the conclusion that that's the only option. Unless I give Lucas the okay and he would kill him ,but I didn't want him to go to prison.

"Why you lying to me ? " he ask .

"Oh Anthony you think shit funny " I hear Kimberly yell pulling August in the water . I laugh and turn my attention back to Chris .

" we gotta talk , " I say to him .

"Chris " I blank face him . Suddenly he picks me up and dumps me in the water. I should have known . We start playing in the water and I was so happy . Chris makes me happy .

"I told yo ass to stop playing " she points at him. We start walking and I fall in love. I miss being here , with Chris .

"Y'all look it's Canada " Anthony points Across the water

"For as long as I have been here I've never visited Canada " Chris says

"Where would y'all go if y'all could leave the country? " I ask honestly trying to get ideas to either A. Kill trey cut him up and ship him there or B. go escape with Chris .

"Vietnam " Kimberly says "it's really beautiful there "

"Asia " Anthony says "they got the best technology, and I bet Jordan's like 5 cent out there" we laugh

"France " Chris says and I look at him smiling . France it is .

"I would want to go to Germany they have good opportunities" I say "What about you lucas ?"

"New Mexico " he answers and we laugh . "What's funny ? "

"Nigga that's in America " Kimberly smacks him .

"Bro shut up , let's go so we can get ready for this kickback " Lucas says .

Chris grabs me and kisses me . It was a very passionate kiss like it was our last or something.

"Awe bestie " I hear Kimberly
