"Wait, wait, wait," Jimmy Fallon laughs, trying to hold himself together. "You expect me to believe that you met your husband at your engagement party... to someone else?"

You laugh along with him and the audience. "Yeah, I know. It's pretty terrible, isn't it? My best friend--Liz Olsen, who is also going to star as the main character of my book--invited him to the engagement party as her date. Purely platonic, let me assure you."

Jimmy stares at you in disbelief. "So... you two hit it off under your fiancé's nose?"

Your eyes grow wide. "We were just friends at the time! I would never..."

Jimmy places a hand on the table nearest you as if to say sorry. "No, I was just teasing! But look at you now? Best-selling author of the hottest young adult novel, the book's being filmed as we speak, your recent marriage to Tom Hiddleston! Bet he's mad he let you go now!"

You shrug, unsure. "Who knows? After the book released, my fiancé decided he didn't wanna deal with someone who was on book tour, at Comic Con, and doing interviews all the time. When he found out the book was going to be made into a movie, he called off the engagement and left for home the very next day. I guess he had this misconstrued idea that I was going to die with all my unpublished works hidden away in some dusty attic, like Dickenson."

"What an ass," Jimmy scoffs. "Very classy."

You chuckle along with him. "I suppose, and just between us girls," you lean in and pretend to whisper and Jimmy, dramatically, leans in closer, "I think my old fiancé was a bit intimidated by Tom."

The whole room bursts into laughter. "He must've seen the future!"
