LIII. Trans/parent (Part 2) | Chris H. feat. Mark R.
"Hey, [Y/n]--Wow!" Chris' voice comes from a few meters away, on the other side of the green-screen set. His bright white smile shines at you, and you see him taking the new--no, the real you--in. He jogs over to you and your dad, in full Thor costume. "I knew it," he says with the same wide grin. "I freaking knew it."
You blush and look down. Someone calls out your dad's name, so he pats you on the back and runs off, leaving you to talk to Chris. "I figured it was time I stop pretending to be someone I'm not, you know?" you tell him.
Chris nods, giving you an understanding and prideful expression. "What you're doing, it's very, very brave. And very wise. No one should have to live a life they don't feel rings true inside them."
You look up once again, meeting his bright blue eyes. "I was terrified of what you would think," you laugh, thinking the thought silly now.
Chris tilts his head in confusion, giving a deep laugh. "Why was that?"
You shrug. "I don't know. You're one of my closest friends. I...I didn't want to lose you."
Chris moves closer and wraps you in a tight hug. "If any of your 'friends' do that to you, they don't deserve to be in your life and they aren't your friends."
After another moment in Chris' arms, you step back with teary eyes. You smile up at him, and he wipes your tears away. "This is the happiest I've ever been," you exclaim cheerily. "Thank you for always being there, even when you didn't know."
Chris grins and places a kiss on your forehead. "I'll always be there for you, [Y/n]." He pulls back with a boyish grin. "I just have one question."
"Shoot!"
"If you're a trans-woman, does that make Mark a trans-parent?"
