LXXIII. We'll Always Have Paris ☭ Mother Natasha
Song | Once Upon A December
-
"'... And Anastasia knew that her Grandmother would always be waiting for her in Paris, even after leaving with Dimitri for another adventure. For they would always have Paris.'"
Natasha and her daughter, [Y/n], rest in bed together. They lean against each others shoulders, sleepiness finally finding them after a long day at SHIELD. Though her daughter is no longer a child, reading is something that they love to do together. It calmz them after long and tiring days.
Anastasia is one of their favorites. She often reads it aloud on snowy evenings such as this, with scented candles lit around the room, soft Russian ballads playing in the background, covers pulled up to their shoulders.
"Have you ever been to Paris?" [Y/n] asks, looking up at her mother.
Natasha smiles to herself, placing the book down on her thigh, looking to her child. She had her same curls, Natasha notices once again. But she has her father's eyes. "As a matter of fact, yes. It's where I met your father."
[Y/n] smiles to herself, curling closer to her mother. "Tell me about him, again?"
Natasha always knew that her daughter would grow up with only a mother, seeing as her father died before she was born. "He was brave. And kind. And nothing like me. He was everything like you, moy rebenok."
[Y/n] turns towards her mother's face, giving her a scowl. "You are kind, Mom. And brave. And kind. He would've been proud of you."
Natasha pulls her daughter closer, an arm around her shoulders, a hand running through her unruly curls. "Ya lyublyu tebya," she whispers softly.
As her daughter yawns, beginning to fall asleep, she replies, "Ya lyublyu tebya, tozhe, Mama."
Natasha smiles, placing a kiss on her forehead. "We'll always have Paris."
