LXVIII. Other Worldly (Part 1) ☆ Jemma
From the moment Jemma got through the strange alien rock and landed in the other world, she felt alone and lost. No matter where she went, she couldn't seem to find her way home. Never before had the biologist felt so utterly astranged than those days on the alien planet.
It was when she stopped feeling alone that she knew something was terribly wrong. A strange sense crept up her spine, and she found herself looking over her shoulder all the time. The planet was always dark; even the tinest bit of light was sucked into the abis. Light, and Jemma's hope of returning home, weren't allowed to live on this deserted place.
Until she was saved by you.
The dark cloud, the desert presence, chases Jemma through the landscape of the planet. Fearing for her life, she spots a hole in the ground, a sort of make-shift door keeping it closed. She runs from the monster on her tail and dives into the hole, closing it behind her to keep the presence out. The wind whirls around her, catching her hair and tossing it as she struggles to keep the door held down.
"What the hell are you doing?" you shout, running from the adjacent room to grab the lever from Jemma's hands. You pulled with all your might down on the door, and soon the monster passes over, leaving you two in peace.
For now.
Jemma, confused and shocked, stutters, "I-I... you're..."
"Human?" you suggest, tying off the lever to make sure nothing else can come through the door. "Who the hell are you? Why were you out there to begin with? How the hell did you survive that thing?"
"What was that?" Jemma asks, eyes still glued to the door.
"That...that was a monster."
