LVIII. Locked Away ⚛ Tony

Song | Locked Away by R. City featuring Adam Levine.

-

"Tell me, would you really ride for me?
Baby, tell me, would you really die for me?
Would you spend your whole life with me?
Would you be there to always hold me down?

Tell me, would you really cry for me?
Baby, don't lie to me.
If I didn't have anything,
I wanna know, would you stick around?

If I got locked away,
And we lost it all today,
Tell me honestly,
Would you still love me the same?

If I showed you my flaws,
If I couldn't be strong,
Tell me honestly,
Would you still love me the same?"

The 80s were the decades roughest on Tony Stark. He was a rebellious troublemaker who despised his father and his childhood, but you were someone he could talk to about all that. You always seemed to be there when he needed you lost.

That includes being the person to drag him out of a holding cell and paying the 5,000 dollar fine to do so.

You walked over to the cell bars, arms crossed. Tony looked up at you from the other side of the cell, eyes squinted and a small smile on his face. "Knew you'd come for me."

"I'm really tempted to leave you here." The guard came to unlock the cell, letting Tony out. You sighed, shaking your head. "Come on, Tony. Let's get you home."

Tony walked through the doors, going past security, and catching up to you. "You didn't have to do that."

"I didn't."

"Why did you?"

"Because you're my friend and I worry."

Tony slung an arm around your shoulders. "You really are my rock, you know. I probably would be either homeless, broke, or dead - maybe all three - without you."

"That is the job." You gave him a small smile, despite still being cross with him.

"What about if I wasn't a Stark?" Tony asked, stopping you both. "Would you still do all this for me?"

You rolled your eyes. "Of course. I'm not a gold digger, Tony. I care about you, not your bank account."

"So if I didn't get any of the Stark fortune, you'd still be my friend?" he asked, anxiety poking through his playboy mask.

You nod. "Yes, of course I would."

He smiles and pulls you in again, continuing to walk. "Good, because I'll need a right-hand woman. I think you'd be perfect for the job."
