"Is Bucky still locked in his room?" you ask as you pass Steve in the Avengers Tower kitchen.

Steve nods, sighing, "Yeah. Still in there. I keep tellin' him he needs to come out and try to make friends, but all he does is say he doesn't know how."

"What about Sam?" you ask, stuffing a muffin that Wanda made into my mouth.

Steve looks at me, confused. "What about Sam?"

You roll your eyes. "C'mon. He and Bucky are kinda digging each other. Haven't you seen it? Bucky gets flustered when Sam's around, and Sam flirts. A lot."

Steve laughs it off. "Really?"

"Really! You're so innocent, it's adorable."

Steve blushes and looks away. You do the same. "And here I thought we were the blind ones."

"What was that?" you ask.

"Nothing!"

Later that week, after Bucky refuses to try to socialize outside of missions and Sam refuses to make the first move, you and Steve take it upon yourselves to plan a blind date for the two Avengers. You plan was working perfectly so far: you left mysterious notes for both of them that eventually leads them to a candle-lit dinner for two on the balcony. Everything was ready, all you and Steve had to do was wait in the shadows.

You grin as Sam is the first to arrive. He looks around, eyeing the table in confusion. "What the hell?"

Bucky joins him soon after. He sees the set-up and shakes his head, laughing. "You can come out now!"

"Both of you," Sam agrees, smiling at Bucky.

You and Steve step out sheepishly. "Well, you weren't going to do it," you say with a grin.

"You two really needed some help," Steve agrees.

"Fine," Bucky says, linking arms with Sam. "We'll go on a date, but only on one condition."

"Name it."

"Steve, you finally grow a pair and kiss [Y/n] and take her out on a date."

Steve blushes, and you turn to him. "Is this true?" you ask him.

He nods, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, I kinda...how'd you put it?"

You laugh. "You dig me?"

Steve grins. "Yeah, I dig you, whatever that means."

"It means you like her, stupid," Bucky shouts endearingly.

"So, do we have a deal?" Sam asks.

Steve pulls you close, hands grasping your face. He presses his lips against yours, only pulling back long enough to say, "Deal."

I just wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that my fic for the First Avenger storyline, Rumors of War, officially has two other books out now! The sequel is The Immortality War and it's set during the Avengers. The third book, Winter's War, is set during The Winter Soldier and is my current project for Camp NaNoWriMo. It will be finished by early May!

I just thought I would put something here in case anyone's looking for a good series that features both Steve and Bucky, as well as my own original character Emma Holmes. Feel free to check them out!
