A/N: Sorry this took longer than usual, I was working on map parts and a meme for my youtube. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if you see any grammar mistakes, misspellings, or anything that may be confusing. The only way I can make this chapter awesome, is with feedback from ya'll! Welp, I hope you enjoy the chapter, and I look forward to reading all your amazing comments! Happy reading!

Constantine tucked his legs underneath him and laid down in the nest. His sister had already gone to sleep a moment before, her flank rising and falling with her breathing as she slept beside him. Savannah's pure white coat with darker gray dapples seemed to glow as the moon rose.

He rested his head down on the moss and bracken of the nest, trying to calm his thoughts. His mind seemed to be working as fast as a hunting wolf. So fast, he could barely dwell on one thought before the next one came. He closed his eyes, blocking out the real world, so he could be completely submerged in his questions from the events of the day.

Where did Revixit come from? Is he dangerous? Would he hurt me or Savannah? Why did he call me "young one" when he is so much younger than me? What is he doing right now? Can he be trusted? What kind of creature is he really? If he's so young, where are his parents? Did they die? Is he all alone?... His thoughts continued to circle in his head, but he was not able to answer any of them. His thoughts slowly quieted as the boy joined his twin in sleep.

***

His hooves crunched the dead leaves that littered the forest floor. Moonlight seeped through the branches of the tallest trees, so pure and white, you could almost drink it like a silvery syrup. The breeze from the south chilled him to the bone, but for some reason, it felt almost enjoyable. Almost.

Suddenly, he stopped as a figure began to materialize before him. From the ground up formed paws for the front legs and hooves for the back legs. R-Revixit?... Identical to the animal Constantine had met that day, except it was made of pure darkness. The creature then had two twin tails and long ears. The ears were flat against it's head. It's lips were peeled back in a silent snarl as the shadowy liquid that it was made up of, dripped from it's mouth onto the ground. It did not look like the nice creature he had met that day. No, it was completely black, shadowy flames lapping from the creature's pelt.

The Revixit-like creature walked around Constantine, circling him like a crazed animal. The black liquid continued to drip from it's mouth like saliva, running down it's chin and leaving a trail of dark liquid in it's path. Constantine reached for his bow, but found that it was not there, nor his quiver. Fear pounded through his veins and something told him to run, but he couldn't move his legs. Tail tucked between his back legs, Constantine waited in terror, not able to even twitch a leg muscle.

It continued to circle, drawing closer and closer as it moved. With it's head dipped low, claws unsheathed, hackles high, it pounced, letting out a bloodcurdling snarl. The black monster had it's paws outstretched for his neck, it's dark purple eyes pupil-less and wild. Constantine could only watch in horror as it leapt at him, huge black claws aimed for his throat.

Constantine shot upwards, propping himself up with his arms. He was drenched in a cold sweat, even his fur was wet and cold. He panted, trying to calm his breathing. The boy took a couple more deep breaths. He felt tears in the corner of his eyes as he thought of the Revixit-like animal that had tried to kill him.

Soon, the hot tears of fear slipped down his face and onto the ground. The fawn-boy looked around, letting out a sigh of relief that he hadn't woken any one. He pulled his hind-legs closer underneath them, trying to make himself as small as possible. He looked down at his hands, and almost gasped in shock. His finger tips were completely blue and cold. He cupped his hands and brought them to his face, blowing hot air to try to warm them up.

His fingers flushed back into their normal colour and Constantine decided he would try to sleep again. He wiped off the tears with a look of embarrassment. Hopefully, no one saw that... The cervitaur boy laid back down, closing his eyes and prayed that the rest of his sleep would be dreamless and peaceful.

Morning came too fast for Constantine, as his sister rustled him awake.

Shoving him back and forth, she whisper-yelled in his ear, "Constantine! It's almost mid-day!" He groaned and flattened his ears. Aiming in his sister's general direction, he kicked out with his back leg. Constantine heard her side-step easily from his slow move.

"Really, Constantine?" He could picture his sister with her arms crossed, ears down, and a look of annoyance plastered on her face. "If you don't get up now, I'll go get Mom."

His eyes shot open and he got up quickly, brushing off bits of nesting material from his pelt. Constantine was right at how Savannah was standing, and he gave a small smile as she looked exactly how he thought.

Savannah rolled her eyes, "Took you long enough!" Although she tried to sound angry, she was happy. She waved him as she started to walk across the glade from the nesting areas, "Come on." Constantine trotted after his sister.

The two walked over to where an older cervitaur was standing. He was larger than the twins, his deer legs were thicker, stronger and he had no fawn spots to dapple his dark brown coat. A small rack adorned his head, a good two feet long from either tip, with four prongs on each. A mighty oak bow was slung across his shoulder, along with a quiver of red feathered arrows. The stag cervitaur's ear twitched in Constantine and Savannah's as they walked over.

The young cervitaur stag turned to them, then trotted over. He smiled at the two siblings and hugged them both.

"I hear you guys sneaked out, hmm?" His dark brown eyes were brimming with amusement.

"Well, to be clear," Savannah started, crossing her arms with a loving glance at her twin,  "Constantine sneaked out and I went after him to make sure he didn't die."

Constantine rolled his eyes as the cervitaur stag laughed, "Good to now that you both have a friendly bond." Constantine glanced at his sister, wearing a ridiculous smile.

"Mathew, would you mind "escorting" us through the woods so we can get food." The older, dark brown haired cervitaur, Mathew smiled again as Savannah used air quotes on "escorting".

"Yeah, sure," Mathew looked at Constantine, "You wake up late for breakfast?" Constantine shrugged, "Yeah."

The older stag smiled, "Alright, you guys go hang with the other fawns, I'm gonna get the all clear from Chief of the Rowans." The siblings nodded, Constantine giving Mathew the thumbs up. Savannah led her brother over to the other fawns.

Mathew was part of the Rowans, the elite group of protectors that fended off attackers away from the herd. The dark brown cervitaur was only 15, so he was ranked low in the Rowans, having to get permission from the Chief to leave camp.

The twins cantered over back into the glade where the fawns were. Barry, the youngest of the group, ran over and shoved Constantine, laughing, before racing off into the grass. Constantine mocked an angry bleat as he launched himself after the russet brown pelted cervitaur. As he pounded after the younger boy, he was thrown off to the side as another fawn rammed into Constantine's side.

The dark gray fawn-boy tumbled to the ground, but was back on his hooves in seconds. There stood the older cervitaur boy, bay in colour, with a wild grin on his face. The bay fawn lowered his head to show off the small beginnings of antlers that came from his light brown hair.

Constantine did the same, his tiny horns not much compared to the older boy's. The bay deer-boy scuffed his front hoof in the dirt, taunting him. Constantine smiled darkly, before running forward at top speed. The other fawn did the same. Getting closer and closer, Constantine smirked.

Caleb, the bay cervitaur, lowered his head more, picking up speed. As Caleb got closer, Constantine could see the casual look in the fawn's eyes, thinking he was going to win with ease against the smaller dark gray deer-boy. At the last second, Constantine jammed his hooves in the ground, and jumped to the side, Caleb racing past.

P.S. I didn't edit this chapter as much as I usually do, so again, please point out any mistakes you see! Doesn't matter how big or small! Thanks again! Also, for updating times, I am thinking once every two to three days, if nothing gets in the way! But I'll only know if you guys like what I'm writing if you comment and vote! Have an awesome day!
