Day 29!

The Zelda game that had the best opening, and the Zelda game that had the best ending.

A lot of Zelda games struggle on their openings. Most of them are bland and boring, take place on some random village and you have to do sluggish sidequests. The Zelda game with the worst opening is easily Twilight Princess, in fact it takes like 3 HOURS to get to the first dungeon.

DAMMIT NINTENDO

WHY

WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS

why do you do these things, big N.

But there is one game that gets into the action and into the first (dungeon-ey) thing within less than a half hour.

WIND WAKER!

You wake up on Outset island, get some clothes because IT'S YO BIRTHDAY, then watch some girl get dropped into the forest because she isn't blond enough...

...wait wtf

Describing Wind Waker on paper makes me seem like I'm high...

I'M SURE EVERYONE WHO HASN'T PLAYED THIS GAMES FACE IS THIS:

ANYWAY, then you get a sword, train with it, beat up some things, save the girl, then watch your sister be kidnapped.

THEN YOU GO TO THE FORSAKEN FORTRESS YAYYYY

The end.

For some reason that opening is just much more lively and entertaining than the others...

//cough cough//twilight princess//cough cough//

NOW ONTO THE BEST ENDING!

Well I explained this really in depth, and it was split into three parts in Day 14. So go look at that if you're interested.

But here's a quick recap.

BEFORE FINAL BOSS: SPIRIT TRACKS. Beautiful plot twists and amazing Zelink action make this one a cult classic ending.

FINAL BOSS: TWILIGHT PRINCESS. Epic four part battle that has a sense of accomplishment when you beat each phase.

AFTER FINAL BOSS: SKYWARD SWORD. Heart wrenching finale with Impa leaving and Fi's farewell.

ALRIGHTY, SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW!
