Okay, do you remember how I didn't have a story for the first kiss one and I replaced it with "something you miss"? Well, something I miss is pretty much the same thing as something I regret, so I'm going to do the same thing I did then and replacing this prompt with the Day 19 prompt from another 30 day prompt list. And the winner is...When you picture God, what does (s)he look like?

Oof. Okay, so first of all, I'm an atheist. My mother is Catholic, my grandfather is Muslim, but me and my dad and my brother are atheists. An atheist, by the way, is someone who does not follow a religion. I don't want to seem close minded, but there is absolutely no proof whatsoever of divine beings who control our fate or whatever. Aliens? Completely possible. The chances of us being the only life at all in such a huge universe are astronomically (puns) small. But God? It makes no sense for god to exist. Other than the word of some people from a time when running water was new technology, we have no reason to believe in God.

And think about how much trouble religion causes. Have you heard of the Natzi's? The Taliban? ISIL? Religion is one of the biggest reasons for wars, murders, and a bunch of other nasty parts of human history. Can you understand why I don't want a part in it?

But you know, live and let live. If someone wants to be religious, they should be! Just don't try to force me to believe in something I don't.

Oh, and to answer the prompt, when I picture God, I think of a really, really old turtle. It's, um... a long story.
