Day 13: Your Week
This week was pretty normal. Today is Monday, so I will tell what happened starting last Tuesday.
Tuesday: Everyone was half happy half sad because we were back in school after the longest snow break EVER. I was happy because I got to see my friends and FINALLY get my stuff from my locker. And then of course there were a bunch of tests because we had missed the end of the semester during the snow. I started Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which was really good.
Wednesday: We played Capture the flag in gym, which is really fun but a few people always cheat. But this time me and my friends were on opposite sides! My friends were all on the jersey side and I was on the non-jersey side. Luckily, my friend found a jersey and sneaked it to me, so I switched teams! Then I got caught up talking to one of my friends at our bus stop, and it started raining! I got soaked!
Thursday: We had to go and listen to a presentation about high school. Blargh. I wish I could stay at middle school forever. Unfortunately...We got our class schedule, and I'm taking French and theatre next year, as well as some intensified classes. We also got our second semester electives and I'm in art! The problem is that our art teacher teaches the same thing every year. One the first day he already did the polar bear in a snowstorm anecdote, the Victor Reyes graffiti art slides, and the paint your name lesson. All of which I learned back in seventh grade. And back in sixth grade. Ugh...
Friday: Lion King! After being postponed for two weeks (thanks, snow), my friends finally put on our school production of Lion King. It was incredible! A bunch of my friends were in it (and one was in tech), and one of my friends was Zazu! I was very impressed by her accent. There was also this awesome scene with moving lights and stuff and it was SO COOL.
Saturday: My brother's birthday party. I opted out of that, since Laser Tag with a bunch of ten year olds does not sound fun to me. From the messages my mom sent me, it looks like I was right. Instead, I went to an art museum with my dad. I'm not even going to try describing it, but it was all modern art and all of it was AWESOME. Then we got sandwiches, and I went to acting class, which is always fun (despite SOMEONE drinking half my lemonade in the first five minutes of class!). And when I got home I got to eat the leftover cupcakes while doing a bunch of laundry. So all in all a good day.
Sunday: we had brunch for my dad's birthday (my brother and dad's birthdays are the 21st and the 25th, respectively). We went to this awesome crepe place. Yum...
Monday: Today was pretty humdrum. I had to take my Standard Math Test, and I totally failed. I got 1,700 points (that's good) on my Standard Reading (lexile) test, but I fail my Standard Math Test. Typical.
So. Fairly Standard week. To me anyway. I don't know about anyone else's week.
