Goth pov

(Before I start, I've gotten so much inspiration from songs for events in this book)

As I sat at the desk infront of the computer, scanning books for students, I pulled my 'diary' out. It's more of a song journal but same difference. (69) and started jotting down some lyrics that popped into my head.

'1993

I closed my book and stashed it back in my bag as the principal walked in. "Miss go- I mean lotus, you need to talk to your son about *ahem* why he can't have a sister" she said a very snobby way.

"Why should I, He can have hopes and dreams, those are the two things we live on daily." I snapped back. "Because it's unhealthy if you let him down" she said. "Let him down. If you think I'm gonna let him down you've got another thing coming" I said.

"Well at least tell him he can't so he doesn't annoy every teacher and distract students" she said. "Annoy every teacher" I said in a mocking way, but not loud enough for her to here. I picked up a book and started ready, waiting for more kids. "Very well, I need to speak with you in my office after school" I nodded and continued reading my book.

*tem skip*

"Mom, mom!!" I heard coming from the doors of the library. I turned around as I swung my bag over my shoulders. "What is it orion?" I said happily hearing him. "Do I have a sister yet!?" "Not in a while Bub"  "I-Okay" I pick him up and sat him on my shoulders, I know he's 8 nearly 9 but he's too innocent for this world.

We walked out of the library, locking it after closing it. I continued walking making sure Orion was right on my shoulders. We walked to the office so I can speak with the principal.

I walked through the office door and closed it behind me, setting Orion on a chair in the waiting area. I dropped my bag and knocked on the old hags door. "Come in" I heard. I walked in and closed the door behind me.

I took a seat infront of mrs (insert last name, I ran out of ideas)

And she started talking.

"So I've brought you here so I can show you... THIS!" She said as she slammed a Manila folder onto her desk and slid it over to me. I opened it and I saw a note and at the top it's says

'ACCEPTED'

I read down the page and I was shock.

I've been accepted to work at upper high. It was a school that has always been in my mind, it's a magic school and the town is nothing compared to New York here. And the library is massive, I'm still taking the job if librarian so it will be fun.

"YES YES YES, o h my gosh, THANK YOU!!" I grabbed the whole document and waved goodbye and she said. "Get a move on, they're expecting you Monday. It's Friday so it's all good. I slammed the door shut and threw my bag over my shoulders and said to Orion, "Let's go" he held my hand and we walked to my car, adjusting my scarf.

I opened the door that lead to the back of the car and helped Orion in. I placed both our bags in. I walked around the car to get to the drivers side. I slid in and started the car up and drove off.

"Hey Orion!"
"Yes Mum?"
"We have to pack all our stuff"
"Why?"
"We're moving!"
"REALLY!!!"
"Yep"
"YAYY!!"

He seems so excited.
