+ I DON'T WANNA GO TO SCHOOL, I JUST WANNA
BREAK THE RULES. [ charlie xcx - break the rules ]

Blaze was somehow dragged into the Wonders' gathering place. He sits there in the darkened corner, watching in horror as the heavy doors blast open. In enters a red-eyed teen, who's no taller than Ice himself, anger and concern filling up his eyes.

"Ah, Thunderstorm's here!" Thorn twirls towards the figure, who pushed the boy right before he could be engulfed into a hug. "Rude as usual, I see. How are you today?"

"Quiet, you squirrel." The said Wonder snarls at the spirit.

The Sixth Wonder beams, "I'll take that as a compliment!"

What the hell is wrong with these people? Blaze wanted to run right out of the place, but he had promised Ice that he'd be a 'good boy', just for today. It's an emergency meeting with the other spirits, and in order to keep him at bay, Ice had sealed his powers. For now.

"What's the meeting about?" Ice's yawn echoes through the small space, "I'm getting sleepy. If it's not important, then I'll take my leave."

With the four of them there, Blaze cowers slightly at the authoritative aura radiating off this person he now knows as Thunderstorm. His red eyes flashed with danger, the sword by his belt more taunting than anyone would've thought. It matches very well with his personality.

The guy scowls, "Say that again, and I'll chop his neck off."

At this point, the poor fire user was too intimidated to even say a thing as the blade was being pointed at his direction. He looks at Ice, pleading for help, but the Third Wonder merely glances away.

"Make it quick then," Ice says, taking a seat. "I'm tired."

"Are you sure that we'll leave him here?" Thorn jabs his thumb at Blaze, "He's an exorcist, you know. If he hears about this, wouldn't it just be more trouble for us?"

Thunderstorm looks at Ice for an explanation, to which the apparition drawls lazily, "He won't do a thing. I trust him. If that bothers you, then I'm sorry to say that I'll just go home."

Blaze's insides bubbled with warmth. He trusts me.

The red-eyed spirit breathes out harshly. "Let's just start."

He didn't dare lose this opportunity. Not now, when his brother's in danger. Cyclone, the happy enigma, is now being treated critically in the hospital, unbeknownst to his human friends that he's being induced into a forced coma to retain his energy.

Thorn spreads the pictures on the wooden table. Ice gave him a sideways look. Of course, the mischievous spirit had hidden away all the extortion properties. "This is how I found him. There's a scar running down from his neck to his, might I say; butt."

They all groan inwardly at that. He could've just said rear.

"I've gathered the files from the nursing department. They say that it isn't a regular attack, most likely related to the Royals for their well-known methods of preferred killing."

"That exorcist family.." Thunderstorm slams the surface of the desk so hard that it almost toppled over, sending the printed snapshots fluttering to the ground. "I'm going to exterminate them if I have to.."

Both Thorn and Ice gulped at this, sneaking a look at Blaze.

Aware that he was being watched, the human exorcist decided to chime into the conversation. "But what if they aren't the killers, and it might just be a similar method?" Whoever these Royals are, he didn't care. He just couldn't sit and watch this unfold.

"You don't have a place to speak here." Glaring daggers at the teen, Thunder hits the table one more time. "Don't think that you're special just because you're his brother."

"B-B-Brothe-?" Blaze stutters, but he was cut short as Ice intervened.

The blue-eyed apparition frowns, "That was a little too mean."

"He's right you know!" Thorn breaks the awkward, tensed silence between them. "What if they're just accusing the Royals? Maybe it's a framing effect." He picks up his polaroids, one by one. "We don't have actual proof, except for the medical reports."

"Back to square one." Thunder fumes, releasing a vexed breath. "I would've killed them regardless of the reason."

"And have Cyclone get sent to hell? I don't think you should."

Blaze puts his cheek into his hand, "What's the difference anyway?" All attention turns to him, as he mutters absentmindedly, "The exorcists kill, and the supernatural gets their revenge. If one party doesn't stop it, then it would just be a vicious cycle."

Ice cocks an eyebrow up at the statement. It's not entirely wrong, in terms of viability. He turns to the rest of the people present, "What he said. That, and the possibility of a new rumor."

"Rumors, huh?" Thunder murmurs, "Wasn't it what killed you, Ice?"

Thorn stands up, fangs slightly showing from his upper row of teeth. "Eh?! Ice in the past died because of a rumor?" He grins, an imaginary tail wagging behind him in interest. "I thought you did suicide!"

Blaze scratches his temples, "So which one's the right story?"

"Both are true. It's not related to the Wonder rumors." Ice frowns, hair falling over his eyes, "And this has nothing to do with Cyclone, so can we please change the conversation?"

The Second Wonder runs a hand through his hair, slicking it back. "We can't possibly ask Cyclone about the rumors, or his friends either. They don't know of my existence as his brother. The only solution that I can think of is.."

All three heads turn to look at Blaze who took a double-take at them, mouth wide open, "W-Why are you guys looking at me again?"

"Looks like your brother could be some use of help, after all."

Crap, Blaze thought, nibbling on his nails, This is bad.

The Wonders nod simultaneously at the proposed action, to which Blaze had no idea to, "W-Wait," He stammers, raising a hand, "What are you guys planning?"

To his dismay, none of them answers, and his gut screamed trouble.

"B-But Ice! I don't want to!" Blaze screams, his voice resonating through the entire voice to the point it almost broke a small flower vase. The said Wonder grunts, elbowing his brother on the back and sending him sprawling onto the floor covered in snot and tears.

"Whether you like it or not, you have to." Ice slips his sock-covered feet into a pair of working shoes, his satchel hung across his body, "It's the only way we can find out."

The brunette didn't like the plan one bit. Thunder and Ice had worked together to sign him up for the new school semester, held in the famous Rintis National School. It's a well-known estate in the area for its international programs as well as the tales that come with it.

Or should they call, the rumors that go around.

Cyclone's currently enrolled there as a second-year student. Soon, he's going to up his grade to a third-year senior, just a few years older than Blaze is. He leads a double life.

Student by day, Wonder by night. He somehow manages to find time partying out with his human peers, and go into a frontline battle with the evil spirits.

Nothing much is known about him, unfortunately.

Blaze pulls on the sleeves of his uniform, freshly ironed minutes before as he grips the toasted bread in his hand. "I don't want to go to school." He stood his ground, as Ice looks at him with a tired expression.

"Do us a favor." The supernatural says, twisting onto the balls of his feet and padding over to open the gates of their house. "Unless you want to be alone."

"Alone?!" He grips the pads of his backpack, "That's a bad idea!" And they both knew it. He breaks into a sweat.

Blaze was chilling nonchatantly at home as Ice was away in the academy, working overtime as he had to tend to a crowd of students fighting. As an exorcist who's retired early, there wasn't much he could do.

So he decided to practice on his own, in hopes to develop control over his wild flames. Ice had previously reminded him to contact the latter in case of any trouble going on in the home, along with a nice, vaguely threatening message.

Burn my house and I'll freeze you like its Winterland.

Alas, the event happened. He started to ignite his powers gradually, slowly. Seeing how he was able to have power of the little heat, he accidentally gouged more energy into it.

That small flame quickly rose into a blazing fire.

A shiver went down his spine. He could recall clearly the time when Ice entered his tattered home, planks of wood falling from the ceiling, burnt to crisp with flames lapping up his wallpaper.

"F-Fine!" Blaze shouts, caving into the idea. As much as he hated the idea of learning once again, he desperately needed to get out of the house and do something. Anything. "I'll go..."

"Great." Ice grins at him, "That's the spirit."

"That was such a bad pun."

note : yes, ice works in two diff schools, one as a
