Chanyeol pov

Stretching out I feel the pain in my back reach right across from shoulder to shoulder and right down my lower back. Turning to lay on my side I forgot how much I hate this sofa. I need to decorate the spare room and get myself a bed so I can at least have a good night's sleep.

I hear little foot steps come from my room, quickly I close my eyes and pretend to be asleep. I feel little warm hands on my face and then a little kiss on my cheek making me smile.

"Hey little man, you trying to wake daddy hum" I pick him up sitting him on my stomach making sure not to hurt his arm while I tickle him making him giggle. Hearing his little giggles reminds me of baek when we use to be together and how he use to try wake me to make him food,  so I would just tickle him till he couldn't breathe or till he nearly peed his pants. He stopped waking me up that way and found a more enjoyable way to wake me instead, if you know what I mean.

"I take it your appa is still asleep, how about we make him some breakfast, would you like some?" I get up from the sofa carrying tae in my arms over to the kitchen sitting him up on the counter top.

"How about we make appa some pancakes" I grab all the ingredients and get Tae to help me. "Ok little man you pour the flour in for daddy". I hold the bowl as he drops the bag sending the flour into the bowl and all over his pj bottoms and counter top making us cough.

"Oopies" he smiles before covering his  little mouth. "It's ok daddy will clean up but I will do the eggs" I crack the eggs in and add the milk.

"Ok little man let's mix mix mix" I hand him a little whisk and we both mix the ingredients all together sending some of it flying out over the side of the bowl. "Its ok to make a little mess right?" I poke his little nose as he pouts looking up at me. "awww look at you pouting, your so like your appa its scary" I take his whisk out of the bowl moving the bowl close to my body I mix it faster making the mixture come together. "Now little man I need you to move to the chair so daddy can turn on the pan so we can cook appa some yummy breakfast. 

Tae watches me carefully then tries to move closer. "no no baby that's burny hot no touch ok" I move his little hand away handing him some fresh cut fruit as he munches on it while I contuine to make baek's breakfast. Leaning close to me Tae holds out a cut up strawberry to my mouth. "yummy yummy" I chew it as he smiles. "can you sing, yummy yummy in my tummy" I continue it as he wiggles on his bottom laughing trying to put all the fruit in his mouth. "hey little man don't eat all of the fruit you have to leave some for appa".

Once we are finished I place the plate and fresh orange juice with a bowl of chopped fruit on a tray. "Will appa like it do you think, I don't have a flower to put on it, maybe next time" I quickly look at Tae sitting with red cheeks from the strawberries, flour in his hair and all over his pjs . "ok we will clean you up in a bit lets give appa his breakfast"

I lift tae down onto the floor first while I grab the tray. I notice a little teddy with a love heart on the floor I pick it up and place it on the tray, that will make him smile "Ok little man go wake appa" I use my foot to open the door to the bedroom as Tae hurries in and kisses baek on the cheek. Baek smiles in his sleep as Tae looks up at me. " Go do it again " I urge him on as he grabs baeks cheek and gives him a longer kiss. "Ake up" he shouts making baek open his eyes.

I can't help but laugh as baek sits up in the bed with his hair all over the place.  "Morning whats all this?" he lifts tae up onto the bed and sits up fixing the covers and running his hand through his hair. "We made you breakfast in bed" I place the tray on his lap while tae climbs nearly on top of him trying to rob the fruit from the bowl.

"Hey little man you had enough, lets leave appa to eat his breakfast" I reach over and pull tae up in my arms as he reaches back for baek. "You can leave him here with me" baek takes him and sits him back down beside him handing him a cut up piece of pancake.

"ummy ummy "Tae says making baek laugh and toss his little brown locks.
"How many pancakes did you make?, you seem to be wearing most of it" Baek looks me up and down. "Well we had an little accident with the flour" I brush myself off before reaching for Tae again "Come on little man lets get you washed and leave appa to eat in peace" I carrying him over to the door. "Thank you Chanyeol you didn't need to make me breakfast in bed" he looks up at me blushing before looking back down at the plate. "It was nothing really and your deserve it" I smile at him before taking Tae into the bathroom to wash ourselves.

The kitchen is all cleaned and me and Tae are looking a lot better then we where earlier. "Ok little man we are going to head out to the shopping mall and get daddy a bed for his room, lets get your shoes" he hurries over to the door and grabs one of his shoes with his good hand. "dadda shoes" he sits on the floor and tries to put his shoe on. "hey let daddy do that for you baby" I reach him and pull on his shoes and quickly pull on my own.

"Where are you two going?" I look up to see baek all smiles fully dressed. "We are going out shopping for the spare room, I need to get a bed" I pick Tae up in my arms and grab my car keys. "Can I come with you guys?" he fidgits with his hands in his pockets. "Sure get your shoes on" I smile towards him as he slips his on before running back into the bedroom returning carrying his wallet and a hoodie.

"Are we all ready?, ok lets get daddy a new bed" we all head out the door and down the stairs to my car. Strapping tae in the back I hurry around to climb in. " Is everyone ready?" I ask as I put my belt on. "Ready" Baek smiles looking in the back at tae. "Are you ready little man?" baek asks him making tae shout back "yes" . "ok lets go" I drive out of the parking garage and head out into traffic. Baek reaches and turns on the radio. "Hey who said you could touch my radio" I look at him making him look back at me in shock. "I'm joking of course you can turn it on" he slaps my hand making me laugh while looking back to the road ahead as music fills the car.

Looking in the rearview mirror I see tae dance a little in his chair making me smile I quickly look towards baek and I cant help but laugh as he is doing the same as tae while looking out the window.

I cant help but think is this what it would have been like if baek wasn't so scared to tell me he was pregnant. I feel my heart start to break but I push it all away and try and enjoy the moment now.

Reaching the shopping mall I carry tae in my arms over to the home store. "I'm so greatful you are doing all this for me Chanyeol" baek says while walking beside me looking all shy. "Hey its fine I just can't sleep another night on the sofa, my back is in a lot of pain this morning" I smile while shifting tae onto my other arm.

" Chanyeol put Tae down then if your back is sore he can hold my hand or look " he hurries over to the trolley area and grabs one bringing it back. "Put him in this he can sit and we can get what ever else you need" I put tae in and I am greatful he is sitting and having fun looking around.

"Ok what do you wanna get first?" baek holds onto the side of the trolley looking along the shelves at all the home products. " Well I would like to paint it" I look around trying to find the paint aisle. Moving along the aisle we finally come to the paint. "Ok what colour?" baek asks while looking along at the different colour paint. "I like that dark blue, I can do a feature wall that colour and the other white" Baek lifts the tins of paint and puts them in the trolley. I can't help but smile, this would have been us if we stuck together. I shake my head and try get the sadness out of my head again. 

"Ok what else?" I hear baek ask while tae and I rummage through a basket full of teddies. "Don't you think you two have enough teddies at home?" I look up at him shocked. "You can never have too many teddies, and shhh you will upset them"  I smile throwing one in the trolley and handing tae one so he can play with keeping him happy while we shop.

Moving from the paint aisle the store is more open now and there is rows of beds. "Finally we get to the good part" I smile while hurrying over to the beds making tae laugh in the trolley at the speed I push it. " Single or double" baek sits on one of the beds and starts bouncing making me smile at his cuteness.  "I need a double I don't do well in single beds,  remember the one he had to share when we first moved in together" I laugh remembering the old days. "Yeah we had to sleep so close to eachother and you would hold me all night so I wouldn't fall out of the bed" he bursts out laughing making me laugh too.

"How about that one over there it will be good for your back and its long enough for you, plus I cant see you falling out of this one like you did before" he bursts out laughing again till I finally remember what he meant. "Hey we where drunk that night and you where trying to sleep like a star fish and pushed me off the bed making me hit the floor and knock my face off the boxes holding all our stuff cause we just moved in that day and the bed was the first thing we put together". We both look at eachother and laugh before he looks away embrassed.

"I'll take this one" I smile bouncing on the bed before laying on it letting out a unhuman groan at the softness of it. "You have got to lay down on this, its like its hugging your body I'm so getting this one" baek lays down beside me and he groans out too. "I'm so getting one of these when I move out" my smile quickly fades as I realise he is right he did say he only wanted to stay till he found somewhere. I stand up from the bed and tell the sales assistant that I would like to take this bed. 

After picking up what else we needed we head to the cash desk and pay for everything. "When will the bed be delivered?" baek asks the cashier. "We are taking it now I will put it together myself when we get home" I take the receipt from the cashier and look at baek. "How will we get the mattress into the car?" he looks puzzeled at me. " Most mattresses are rolled and  vacuum packed these days, its something got to do with cutting down on emissions by not using there vans, I'm not sure you can look it up online".

I thank the cashier as we head out of the store heading to the car park to put the things we bought into the back of my SUV. "Tae looks tired maybe we should get him home" baek runs his fingers  through the little mans hair as Tae yawns laying his head down on the bar of the trolley. "lets get him home" I pull him out of the child seat of the trolley and strap him into the car seat.

Heading back home the car is quiet so I decide to break the tension. "Do you wanna help me paint the room?" I quickly look at him as he turns towards me "Sure, I think it will be best if we do it when tae is asleep though as I think it could get messy". I burst out laughing as he looks puzzeled at me " Wait are you being rude and laughing at what I just said?" I turn to look at the road ahead and try stop laughing. "maybe" I look back at him again as he blushes like hell.

"You never change" he tries to cover his mouth hiding his laugh."oh come on you know me" he finally looks at me and gives me that beautiful smile that makes me weak at the knees. "Yeah I know you better then you know yourself and you always make something rude out of what I say" he looks into the back of the car looking at tae sound asleep.

"He is perfect baek" I tell him trying to change the subject and while checking the traffic before pulling into our parking garage.

"He sure is and I hate waking him when he is asleep like that". Baek unclips his seatbealt and climbs out of the car closing the door behind him. "I'll carry him up and then I'll come back for the rest of the things if you can just get the door" I take our son out of his seat slowly as his little body slumps on me. "That is such a cute sight wait a second" baek reaches and takes out his phone taking a picture of me and tae before opening the door to the stairs.

Once I put tae in the bed I hurry outside as Kai and Sehun join us in the sitting room. "Where did you guys go?" Sehun asks as baek explains then asks them to help us. " I will watch out for tae if you guys grab the things" Kai smiles a big cheesy grin. "oh yeah god help us if you broke a nail" I tease him as he throws a cusion from the sofa at me.

Once all the things are up stairs all that is left is the vacuum packed mattress. Baek and I head to retrieve it from the car as Sehun starts to make lunch. " Chanyeol if you keep moving it like that it will split the bag and..........". as soon as the words are out of his mouth the bag catches on the handrail that just happens to have something sicking out of it slicing some of the bag and making the mattress break free from it knocking baek down onto the steps and me flying to the ground as we burst out laughing. I sit up and look towards where baek was and all I can see is mattress and no baek just his giggles from under it. " are you ok?" I hurry towards him lifting the mattress up a little as it rips the rest of the bag open knocking me and making me fall down beside him making us laugh out again. " I told you not to carry it that way" he laughs wiping tears from laughing so hard. I push the mattress up away from us and get up to my feet holding out my hand to him to help him up.

He takes my hand as I pull him up while he falls forward crashing against my chest as I catch him around his waist. " you ok" I push his hair out of his eyes keeping my hand on his cheek looking into his eyes. I lean down as he leans up making our lips connect in a soft tender kiss.

"We better get this mattress in before Sehun starts screaming lunch is ready" he leans his forehead on mine all smiles before moving as I let him go he grabs the end of the mattress and starts to lift it up the stairs with me carrying the other end and me wondering when is it ok to ask him on a date after everything he has been through.
