That left us cold

Instead of

Tan,

But not

unpleasantly.

Soon June was

Knocking at

The door,

But still we

Only saw

More and more

Of stormy summer

Skies.

I remember once

You asked

Me why

The storms

Had lasted

Into July,

And I smiled

And peered

Up at

The sky

And said,

"To keep us rained in."

I always

Liked this kind

Of weather,

But I would

Love it so

Much better

If we could

Brave the

Storm together

At least, for a short

Time.
