It was the day of the charity match. Sagelyn woke up next to Simon, feeling his hands running down her bare shoulder blades. "Morning, gorgeous." He whispered, his morning voice ragged against her ear.
She cuddled closer to him, kissing his jaw lightly. "Morning, Si." Sage responded quietly. He got up, walking towards the shower. He turned around, seeing Sagelyn admiring him.
"What?" She smiled, shaking her head. She was actually thinking about how well the silver had turned out and how nice it looked on him.
They showered together, quickly getting dressed after. Sagelyn had learned the night before that one of the boys were sick, and she would need to take their place on the SDMNFC team.
She was excited, but quite nervous as she hadn't gotten all the practice everyone else had. They met up with everyone, piling onto the bus with the teams.
Simon looked over when Sage mumbled something to him, "I wish my dad could be here." She caught his eyes, seeing them soften lightly as he kissed her forehead.
"I love you." He whispered to her softly, hoping it would make her feel slightly better. She smiled shyly at him, leaning into his arms.
When they arrived at the pitch, they changed into their uniforms. "Minter 7" stood out to her and "Beckham 1" stood out to him.
They ran out onto the pitch and Sagelyn immediately looked up, seeing her mom and sister sitting next to Simon's family. She smiled lightly, standing in between Simon and another boy on their team. "Are you gonna be okay? They play rough." Simon reminded her.
She nodded, seeing his eyes advert from her's. She could tell he was worried about her getting hurt but she ignored it, knowing she could get through this game.
They kicked off, and the YTAS scored. She sighed when Simon was tripped but didn't get a penalty, and she noticed Simon's look too. She ran towards him, seeing him get up. She pat his back as she ran past him, smiling lightly at him.
She saw Simon throw the ball in about 19 minutes in, JJ hitting it towards the net with his head. The goalkeeper blocked it and she sighed once more.
It was about half way through the first half when she had the ball, kicking it over someone's head to Simon. Trying to get the ball, Will slid, hitting her ankle and sending her to the ground.
She grabbed at her ankle, hearing a whistle blow and seeing Simon run towards her. "Hey, you alright?" He asked, as he kneeled next to her, seeing her nod. "Does it hurt?" He asked, seeing her wince when he touched it.
"Yeah, quite a bit." She told him, seeing his worried eyes back. "Help me up, let's keep playing."
"Are you sure?" She nodded, grabbing his hand when he reached it towards her. He pulled her up, keeping a firm grip on her waist as she stood. She limped, but quickly patted his chest as reassurance, feeling him kiss her forehead. "Be careful, love." He told her and she nodded.
They kept playing, Sagelyn acting as if it never happened. She noticed Simon's close eye on her, constantly getting asked by him if she was okay. "Simon, I promise. Pay attention to the game." She told him one final time, and he sighed before there was a kick and they were playing again.
Simon kicked it to Sage, watching as she ran it down the field with a limp. She dodged the guys around her, kicking it to Tobi when she got the chance. She ran back, seeing the ball going that way once again.
Sagelyn got it from Chip, kicking it past him and back towards Tobi. He got blocked by Will, and Sagelyn had to grab the ball once again. She sent it flying to Simon, who hit it with his head before hitting it towards the net.
They took half time, checking up on Sagelyn's ankle before they were back on the pitch. "Hey, if your ankle hurts tell me and I'll get you off."
"I'm fine." She had already come this far, she wasn't giving up now. She smiled lightly at Simon as he sighed, smiling back.
Simon looked up towards the families, causing Sagelyn's eyes to follow. They looked back at each other after waving to their parents. "Go play your heart out, Si." She told him quietly, catching his gaze again.
He leaned down, placing a light kiss to her lips. "I love you." He told her before she felt his hand tap her ass and they ran in opposite directions with smiles on their faces.
The YTAS had definitely caught onto the tactic of Simon and Sagelyn's team playing. She would stay close to him, kicking it to him when she needed help and vise versa.
She saw him get slightly pissed off at one point in the match, and she smirked at how hot he looked angry. He noticed, pointing at her with his finger. "Don't look at me like that!" He smiled when he saw her giggle.
"I'll look at you any way I want to, Minter." She called, seeing him chuckle lightly. He ran back towards JJ, chatting with him quickly. They noticed someone running onto the pitch and they watched as Josh had to pull the guy away.
Tobi had a kid thrown over his shoulder, walking him off the pitch. Then the wave started. There were kids running from every direction, and Simon had lost Sage in the crowd.
Mummy Behz was crying, Simon's mum was gripping onto his father's hand tightly. Sagelyn's family was watching with anxious looks on their face. They saw Simon look around for Sagelyn.
Sagelyn was looking for him too, walking towards the middle of the pitch. She felt a hit to her ankle, gasping as she fell. A kid had just kicked her, and was now laughing at the replay on his snapchat.
Her ankle was covered in blood from the side of his high top digging into it. "Holy fucking shit." She mumbled, holding onto her ankle as blood spilled from it.
Simon walked towards the center of the pitch, seeing Sagelyn sat on the ground with blood covering her sock. "Sage? Hey, hey, you're alright." He wiped the tears from her face softly. "Come here."
He pulled her sock down, looking at how bad the blood was before he lifted her from the ground. He looked up at her family, seeing her mom crying softly.
Sagelyn cuddled into his chest as tears pooled her eyes. The anxiety of the situation mixed with the pain, and she felt safer knowing Simon wouldn't let anything happen to her.
He ran her into the room where the boys were, sitting her down and kneeling in front of her. She winced as he pulled her shoe and sock off, grabbing a towel to wipe the blood away. "Josh, can you get a medic? I'm scared it's bad." He mumbled lightly to Josh.
The older nodded, and Freya followed him to find a medic. "I'm fine, Simon." Sagelyn whispered quietly and he ignored her. "Hey, don't worry about me." She continued.
"Sagelyn, shush." He looked over, seeing her pout lightly. "I don't want to chance it, I'm worried." Simon responded truthfully, seeing her smile lightly.
An older male came in, looking for Sagelyn. "What's happened?" They explained the situation, telling the rest of the team to go have fun. "Fuckin' twats, ruining the match." The medic spoke, cleaning her cut before bandaging it. "You should be fine, may just hurt for a while." He told her and she thanked him, watching as Simon shook his hand.
Then the parents swarmed. Mummy Behz was asking how she was doing and if she was okay, smiling when she said she was fine. "Simon, thank you. She would've walked that off if it wasn't for you." Sagelyn's mother told him.
"It's no problem, I was just worried." He smiled, seeing her mother smile "I know she would've tried to hide it, that's why I stepped in." He explained, and her mother nodded, hugging him quickly.
"I'm sure Tim misses you, son." She spoke softly and Simon smiled, nodding lightly before hugging her once more. "Your parents were so happy you guys were okay."
He wiped his hands on his shorts, looking back at Sage. "They haven't met Sagelyn yet, and I'm scared she's gonna go into some type of panic attack when they walk in-" He looked up as his parents and brothers walked in, catching his gaze. "Excuse me." Sagelyn's mother smiled, nodding as she made her way to her daughter.
"You did great, stimp." His dad told him, patting his back as they hugged. "How's that girl of your's? Her mum was really worried." Simon nodded, looking behind his shoulder to see her hugging her family.
Simon turned back around, smiling lightly. "The medic said she should be fine, just that it'll hurt for a while." He spoke up, running a hand through his hair lightly. "Do you wanna meet her?" The younger asked lightly, seeing his parents nod without hesitation.
