I clutch onto this wave,

with every ounce of my being.

Knowing, that soon,

the cornucopia of colours that,

now fill my head,

will soon be replaced by tones,

of grey,

the shore in all,

it's golden majesty is approaching,

it's time to say goodbye.

your hand slowly unwraps,

itself from mine,

I sink into the murky depths,

getting accustomed to my new home,

the overhead waves,

crashing into the bay,

rock me to sleep,

and for a while,

the memories reap.
