#TipTuesday Three writing/life tips
Tips, tips, tips. Hmmm
Life tips? Hmm I'm not very good at life, but I can give you three things I do to keep going.
Firstly - BREATHE
Deep breathing seems like such a simple thing, but it can do wonders in helping relieve stress and tension we hold in our bodies. A few short minutes of deep breathing can help lower stress levels and release tension and anxiety. It helps clear your mind and it can also help you to relax.
I do it a lot when I ride, if I'm about to go into a showjumping arena, I take a few seconds to walk in and stand Johnny still. I re walk the course in my mind and breathe slowly - in - and out - in - and out - it makes me and him relax and we can then get a good rhythm and my brain isn't a massive lump of freak out - it's a good tip for exams too :)
Secondly - SMILE :)
After how ever long I've lived on this planet, which is a little under 20 years, there isn't a lot a smile doesn't tell someone.
You've got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, and love what you've got.
Even if you aren't happy, you should smile when there are little things that make you feel a little more lifted a little more joyous. As my sister always said 'someone who smiles rather than rages is always the stronger person' (something like that anyways?!)
But my point is, smiling makes the people around you happy. And relating this back to horses once more, my instructor always tells me to smile at the end of my dressage test and pat my horse, even if it's gone bad, that smile at the judge as you salute will always get you a nice comment at the bottom of the sheet.
You can't see how wide my smile is here, but trust me it is there, I was happy, he got me round a very tricky course and answered all the questions I asked - never had I been more proud.
Finally - LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR YOU, and no one else 🍀 - (I put a four leaf clover there for anyone that can't see it)
You cannot love your life trying to please others, I've tried, and trust me it really doesn't work! It is YOUR life, and it's up to you to make it the best life you possibly can.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did. ~ Mark Twain
There comes a time for us not to just be survivors, but to be warriors. You have your life, and the chance to make the most of it. Don't run or hide from that challenge or let your guilt keep you from living your life. This gift of living such a beautiful opportunity. Embrace it. Seize every opportunity from here on out. - JUST LIVE ❤
Love you all :)
