18 - #ThingamabobThursday Five things I cannot live without

A/N: Suffice it to say, we all need food, water, sleep, human interaction, shelter, and sufficient income (homelessness is not how you want to live). Those are the identified necessities. Wait, Mel, where are clothes?! ...Well, technically, garments are just part of the material world. (LOL, see what I did there?) Yes, you can argue you need them to brave the weather and modesty's sake in public (though, the trend seems to lean toward the scantily clad direction nowadays), but clothes tightrope need/want. I digress (*sighs lovingly* I love that word. Digress. *dreamily sighs again*)

Without further ado, and in no particular order (INPO), my five things.

1 - l a p t o p

Plus accessories and, durh, WiFi because what the hell is a computer useful for if you can't access the internet? 

I swear, my entire life revolves around the computer, which sounds incredibly unhealthy. Lol. From chatting with friends, writing, researching, graphic designing, cooking (lol, which is ironic because I've never looked up a recipe. Bhahaha), GPSing, shopping (oh man, how on earth did shopping almost slip past this list?!)... You get the point. In this light, this probably sounds like you in one way or another.

2 - f a m i l y

No matter strained my relationship is with my real family, I hate imagining life without my them there. Sure, I won't fall back on them for the tough stuff, but having no one to at least give some sort of damn about me sucks. So, yeah, family is a complicated, strained (at best) subject, but it's essential to me. (Cheezits, just hand me the award for Most Confusing Woman ever. LOL)

3 - p i z z a

I'll fight you if you disagree. *narrows eyes* My love for pizza rivals that of a boyfriend...so like, dude, if you can't eat pizza...we might not work out. I love ya, dearly...but pizza. (The true side of Mel Hall reveals herself. *muahahaha*)

4 - a n i m a l s

What does Mel do when she's not doing whatever she should be? Watching animal gifs/videos. They show up in my feed on Facebook and I even have a whole Pinterest board devoted for the furry critters. One day I want a dog, maybe even two! I'm not sure which breed because I'll need to consider my living conditions, activity level, a bunch of factors to determine what's best for me and the dog.

5 - p h o t o g r a p h y

Not only is it essential to any graphic designer/artist, but photography is necessary for my happiness. It's a time-consuming hobby and requires you to focus on the moment. Like a sniper needs to steady their breath, a photographer must practice patience and creativity to shoot. It seizes the day, detaining a memory to a physical object to eliminate need to remember.
