15 - #MoolahMonday How I'd spend $10 million (~ 9,360,000€ rounded up)

A/N: (Creds to Squeaks7 for inspiring this challenge) Honestly, I'm pretty damn lame, but perhaps you'll learn something too. Maybe? *Claps hands together + rubs* Get ready for finances with Mel. 🤑

Bank: While most will go into my savings (uh, hell yeah), a good sum will divide into my checkings (chequing - for you non-American folk 😜) as well. Of course, some of these "plans" (whatever you call 'em) involve money transfers from a bank account and are invested in over time.

Debt: Paying any/all debts (credit cards, loans, mortgages, etc.)

Savings: I'd invest a good $200,000 into a certificate of deposits, and I'd lock it away for ten years. Hey, more money right?!

Retirement: Max out my 401K and contribute to a Roth IRA. (Lowers their tax liability.) 😉 $18,000 to 401(k) and $5,500 in a Roth IRA (I believe that's annually. 🤔)

Emergency: Since I'm only in high school, albeit, my last year, I imagine there might be a bunch of expenses hitting me left/right that I won't see coming/understand fully how to cope with them. So, I want to begin building an eight-month emergency fund, starting with investing $600 (I think it's a monthly thing?? Look, I'm going off memory here! 😅) that's direct-deposited from my savings.

Stocks: Well durh! Who in their right mind wouldn't invest in stocks with this much dough? 😆 Maybe I'm feeling a bit, uncharacteristically, dicey? Lol, I'd like to invest in buying some stocks from Apple Inc., Bank of America, Facebook, and Google (and if I'm Sirius-ly insane Amazon.)

Trust/Will: I'm no dummy, or perhaps it's the fact I've got some paranoia/trust issues associated with possessing this much money. Either way, there are greedy people, accidents, and tragedies. Therefore, in the event that I am incapacitated or dead (while not dealing directly with payouts to companies/plans/etc.), it's extremely important to me that I set up all the legalities to assure that not one penny goes to the state/government without having first gone to the people I love. This means my family. Since these documents can be rewritten, later on when I have kids and a bigger family, there will be more people to divide up the money. Either way, a portion will go to charities.

Fun: (Ahh, there it is) Okay, y'all are probably facepalming and being like, Bro... You couldn't just be a damn young adult and do something "irresponsible!" What's wrong with you? 😒

Heh heh. So, here's to "girls just wanna have fun!" 😂 I'd organize a date to spend a four day/week (depending on season) trip to Universal Studios + Disney in Florida and pay the bulk of the expenses (travel, dorming, park admission—lol, is family pass a thing???). Most of all my buddies love Harry Potter, so why the hell not go to the one place (besides Wattpad) that connects us all. Plus, I've been DYING to meet my WP friends. 😚
