Day 9/29

"Noona, wake up!"

I heard a loud giggle by my side as I rolled over and pulled a pillow onto my face. I felt someone lightly punching my back while asking me repeatedly to wake up. After enduring three minutes of that, I finally groaned and rose from the bed. I saw Jaeyoung staring at me with a toothy smile and I smiled back while running my hand through my hair and looking around.

"Good morning, Noona!"

I got off the bed and stretched as the little kid ran around me.

Boy, were kids really this energetic?

I swooped down and picked him off the ground and spun him around. His laughter filled the air as I bounced him up and down while walking down the stairs. We were kindly greeted in the kitchen where I was sat down at the dining table. Breakfast was placed in front of me while Jaeyoung was placed into his highchair. I looked around for Jungkook, but he was nowhere to be found.

"Where's Jungkook?"

"Ah, you two know each other? He went out for a walk this morning, I wonder what's gotten into him. He usually never comes out of his room until around noon."

I just nodded my head and ate silently while watching Jaeyoung trying to eat without spilling everything. Once I finished, I took the tableware to the sink and helped wash them despite being scolded for doing work as a guest.

When I came back to the dining table, Jaeyoung had found a way to climb out of his highchair and was now running around the house with his spoon and a handful of crayons.

"Cha Jaeyoung, come back here!"

For the next ten minutes,

I ran around the house chasing and looking for the over-energetic kid. When I finally found him, I tickled him until he started beating my arm with his spoon.

"What are you guys doing?"

"Kookie Hyung!!"

Jaeyoung squirmed out of my grasp and tackled Jungkook who stood by the front door with his backpack slung over one of his shoulders. I got off the couch, still trying to catch my breath from running around for ten minutes, and greeted him with a wave.

"Where'd you go off too?"

Jaeyoung sat on Jungkook's shoulders and patted Jungkook's head with his spoon while giggling. Jungkook just shrugged at my question and carefully, but swiftly walked into the kitchen to be greeted by his aunt. He took a piece of toast off his aunt's plate, earning himself a looked from her which he shrugged off, and headed to the living room where he gently threw Jaeyoung onto the couch. He sat on the couch and turned the TV on and flipped through the channels until he landed on the music program. He ate his toast with his eyes glued to the TV. Jaeyoung sat on Jungkook's lap and quietly watched with him. In amusement, I quickly snapped a photo with my phone and sat on the next couch over.

"I saw that. Delete it, Jung Jimin."

"Aw, why? It's cute."

"Yeah, well I don't need you sharing it with your friends."

"Well, rest reassured, I don't have friends to share it with."

We both shut up after that and silently watched the music program. I scolded myself for creating a negative mood and left to the guest room upstairs where I spent the rest

of the morning.

When it hit noon, I left the room in my regular attire. I walked downstairs and said goodbye to Jungkook's aunt and Jaeyoung, who wouldn't let go of my leg until I told him I'd come back to visit. Jungkook was nowhere to be found again so I left the house without saying goodbye to him.

"Leaving without saying goodbye to me? How rude."

I jumped at his voice as I closed the gate to the house. I turned to see Jungkook holding two cups from a coffee shop.

"I was going to say goodbye, but I couldn't find you."

He handed me one of the cups and sat down on the steps in front of the gate. He took a long sip from his own cup as he sat.

"I went out to buy something to drink. It's hot chocolate."

"Oh.. T-thanks."

I sat down next to him and drank the sweet drink slowly, being careful not to burn my tongue. I caught Jungkook staring at me as I drank and gave him a weird look, causing him to smile and look away.

"What? Is there something on my face..?"

He only shook his head 'no' and continued to drink his hot chocolate while staring at the pavement. His nose was slightly pink from the cold wind, signaling that winter was well on its way.

"Are you really not going to tell me where you went this morning?"

"I just took a walk. Jaeyoung was being too loud this morning, so I just went out to get some peace and quiet."

I opened my mouth to ask another question, but someone caught my eye from down the street. I quickly stood up and looked again to see if I was seeing things, but sure enough

he was there.

"Jungkook, I have to go."

I dug threw my pockets until I felt the jagged crystal graze my fingers. I pulled the amulet out in a hurry and pulled out Jungkook's hand. I placed it in the palm of his hand and closed his fingers around it.

"Here, take this. Don't lose it, it's a gift from me. Keep it with you, okay? I'll see you at school on Monday."

"Hey, waー"

I took off down the street and threw a wave behind my shoulder and kept running until I found the person I saw moments before.

"What'd you come here for?"

I glared at the boy who stood in front of me with a egotistical smile on his face. He leaned back on the telephone pole with his arms crossed.

"You didn't have to leave him to come see me, I was fine with just watching you guys."

"Stay away from him, Jimin. Don't you go anywhere near him."

He laughed as I warned him to keep away from Jungkook. He gave me a wink before properly standing instead of leaning.

"Sorry, but that's a command I can't follow, Your Highness."

"Cut the bull, Park Jimin, I'm serious. I don't have time for your frivolous games."

"Chill, Princess. It's not like I can go anywhere near him anyway. But, you're a different story."

He came closer and traced the side of my face with his finger. I smacked his hand away and moved away from him. My heart raced as I sensed danger. He stepped forward, coming closer and closer to me until I saw an object fly across in front of me, causing Jimin to jump back. I turned my head to see Jungkook tossing a rock in the air and catching it. He had a glare on his face as he stared at Jimin.

"C'mon Jimin, let's go."

Jungkook signaled to me with his eyes to follow him as he turned and walked back up the street. I gave Park Jimin one last glare before following Jungkook up the street. We walked in silence as he accompanied me to my house. Once we arrived at the gate, I turned to him and slightly bowed.

"Thanks... Sorry for causing you so much trouble."

"It's fine, just be more careful next time. See you Monday."

I nodded and watched him walk down the street and turn the corner, out of my field of vision. I unlocked the gate and entered my house while letting out a loud sigh of relief. I changed into some comfortable clothes before pulling out my laptop. I spent the rest of the day browsing the Internet and cleaning out the files in my computer. I tried to search up things about Angels and Demons but nothing came up that matched what had happened to me. In frustration, I closed my laptop and just settled for a nap for the rest of the day.
