Neel's pov

I looked at her, to those blue eyes which have been haunting me for several years,

Of course, she hates me, and why wouldn't she when  I was a jerk before!

I looked at her once again, to steel her glance, her eyes have always been glistening for me.

"Julia?" Her mother called,
She stopped in her way and titled her eyes on me later to her mother.

It's another day again, where I, my half-sister Jessica and Arnav are having lunch at her home.

Her eyes were stormy made me almost whisper her name, sensing her name on my tongue, admiring her for who she is.

But I know she hates me, her eyes indicate it all,

Before she could come and sit at the table I excused myself for using the washroom.

It's just my mind is not working, there is still regret inside my heart and I have always been a shameless jerk!

I was continuously looking at the ceiling, finding any way to drip of the time when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"What are you doing here?" Jessica rolled her eyes, she knows me better than anyone.
She knows everything, and she despises me for what I have done.

"Nothing," I whispered her back, I went on the loop again.

"You know Neel, it isn't easy, and it will never be..."
Her eyes were pale, curious, and demanding at the same time.

"What are you talking about?" I chuckled, that was deadly as a lion's attack.

"Win her back, when you have hurt her so deeply,"
Now, all the universe was saying that too, I could feel the essence in my heart.

I still remember in the lonely library when the world was deprived of hunger, she consoled me as a child.

And in the return? What did I do? I broke her heart!

And not just stab! I killed the innocent child in her eyes, her fragmented smile tells me everything,

"I know, " I looked away.

"But you know Neel? If you love her win her back at any cost because I know deep down she still cares about you, ceases your dignity and wins her heart again, otherwise, you can let her go,"
she started walking away, however before she changes her direction I have already decided what I needed to say," I will fight for her every moment, every day, and I know it isn't going to be easy, maybe I get hurt in the process but I am not going to let her go, not this time," then I joined her to the way of the dining area.

The place was quiet with the wooden streak and my eyes were occupied searching for her.

She was sat there all in her glory, her eyes were crystal clear, as majestic will jeopardize my inside war. Her hair was on the shoulder, maybe they were ashamed too of what I have done to her.

Her mother was saying something to her in a hushed tone which she was focusing and I was getting deeper into my loop again.

She shook her head, didn't say anything and just smiled, how can her smile be so magnificent?

I don't understand how can humans be so vibrant, her eyes were so private, as they have never been talked about before, never have been cared for, abandoned in all the nights,

She stood up holding a cup and started her way towards the stairs, those old stairs  had a different story to share, I saw her legs, the way she was walking and then her hand shook on the quipped cup,
She is about to fall, but I won't let that happen.

I jumped out of my seat and ran, she was in the air already, as I said, I am not going to let her fall alone because I knew this time I was falling with her too.

Julia's Pov

I was quilting in the air, and then bam my chest get collided making me crumbling on the floor with a thud. And no, not it was not all! On above of that, he was on top of me.

My whole family and my fiancee were glueing their eyes to us.

I was struggling underneath his body pressure when he was constantly looking at my eyes.

"You are so beautiful," I heard him whisper so close to my skin.

My heart skipped a beat! Well, no it didn't skip a beat, I was captured in a volcano, gladly Arnav came to give me a hand.

I got up not meeting his eyes and walked away to the dining area again. My heart was already burning with numerous inclinations.

"You shouldn't have helped her Neel, I am her soon to be husband and it's my responsibility to look out for her," I heard Arnav saying when his eyes were burning from anger?
or was he jealous?

And if he is jealous, then he is jealous for what? He has more determination of power in his eyes, his eyes speak to the world, that he is a ruler, eyes alone in its socket have always been deprived of nothing, and mind in the human body full of passion has always been busy in supervising the world.

His eyes warn me he is more consistent on belongings while Neel's are plain blank this time.

What is he thinking?

Is he thinking about the statement he had made on the marriage?

Whatever he has in his mind, he can't play with my heart anymore.

"Julia, you have to start buying now, the date is coming near you know, and we have to prepare all the aspects," my mother was now buttering a piece of bread, her dreadful face has shown some colours of life which tells that she is finally showing some interest in all the workings.

"Yes, maa," I nodded my head while feeding whatever I had on my plate.
Neel was sitting in front of me, and Arnav was sitting beside me.

Those hazel green eyes were on me again, and I was doing anything to not meet his gaze,

"We can go now, I have taken a break from work, after all, I want to spend some time with my future wife," Arnav winked while tucking a shred of hair behind my ear.

Neel made a fist out of his hand when almost all the veins were popping out from his forehead, his jaw looked clenched.

So what? He has to stop reacting to everything!

"I would like to help you guys," Jessica smirked when Arnav was on the way to shut her up but before he could do anything, my father nodded his head in encouragement while making its crystal clear that Jessica is like a sister to me and she will help me out.

And if it wasn't getting more intimidated, or awkward, Neel cleared his throat again with a determination set in his eyes, even more," brother I will help you out too in completing all the arrangements  for your marriage as it is going to be the biggest event of your life,"

His eyebrows were more crooked this time, a well-framed smirk was telling me something different from whatever he said in the words, and his eyes? They were mischievous for the first time in the past five years.
only God know what is he up to!
