DAY 03.5

THEY arrived at the ramen house that Jungkook led them into. It was small but it's welcoming and warm.

A few costumers were already occupying the table seats. Lisa and Jungkook had no choice but to seat in the stool counter table.

"I'm sorry. I should've reserved us a better table." Jungkook scratched the back of his head.

Lisa shook her head and smiled at him, indicating it's okay and it's not a problem.

Jungkook smiled back, "We should order. You must be hungry."

Lisa nodded in agreement, grabbing the menu on the table.

Her cute gesture made the bunny snicker and look down at the menu to compose himself.

Lisa ordered spicy crab ramen while Jungkook ordered beef.

"Dig in!" Jungkook motioned Lisa and they started slurping the bowl of hot ramen.

After stuffing a whole chopstick of ramen in their mouths, two ladies suddenly appeared next to them.

"H-Hi." The squint eyed beauty smiled at Jungkook as her companion waved.

Jungkook bowed and is slightly surprised. He immediately chewed the food in his mouth and responded, "Hi."

Lisa quietly watched the three of them while mixing her ramen.

"You're from Yongsan Highschool right?!" The girl asked Jungkook.

Jungkook nodded and looked down at his uniform, "You noticed."

"To think that a student from a prestigious school would come to place like this..." The girl muttered while looking at Jungkook with such admiration.

Jungkook could only force a smile at them while scratching he back of his head.

"C-Can we exchange numbers? Let's explore ramen stores together!" The girl suddenly handed her phone to Jungkook.

Jungkook was taken a back, hesitating on what to say. He suddenly came to a realization and looked back at Lisa who is looking down at her food, covering her face as if she didn't want to get noticed.

Jungkook sighed, "I'm sorry but I can't do that. I already have someone I want to exchange phone numbers. Please let us eat in peace."

The two girls furrowed their brows and glanced beside Jungkook. Lisa remained on facing down and avoiding eye contact.

"She doesn't look any special at all..." The girls stood up and left Jungkook gritting his teeth in anger.

Lisa tugged his torso to get his attention. Jungkook turned to her and she smiled at him, showing him it's okay.

Jungkook frustratingly sighed and fixed himself on the stool, "Don't mind what they said. I'll curse their ramen to get all soggy."

Lisa let out a silent snort.

Jungkook saw the genuine smile on her face and immediately blushed. He just grabbed his chopsticks and continued eating his ramen with all his might.

They cleaned up the two large bowls of ramen and walked out of the restaurant after thanking the server.

"I'm definitely going back and eat in this small ramen house again." Jungkook said as they stood in front of the ramen house.

Lisa nodded and brought her note pad out, "It was delicious! Thank you, Jeon Jungkook!"

Jungkook's face turned red as soon as he saw his name on her note pad with the use of her hand writing.

"N-No biggie. I'm glad you liked it." He smiled at her.

Lisa smiled back and wrote, "We're late."

"Shit! You're right! Our class starts at 1pm!" Jungkook cussed.

He immediately grabbed Lisa's wrist and dragged her out the aesthetic alley, running past a few small restaurants.

Lisa gulped at the contact of Jungkook large warm hands wrapped around her wrist.

The scene was awfully cliché.

But both knew it was enough to feel a familiar beat in their chest and trying all their best to act as natural as possible.

They finally reached the campus just before the school guard was about to close the gate.

The two separated ways and went to their respective classrooms.

Upon arrival, Jungkook was immediately gathered around by her six other friends.

"How was the date with Juliet?" Taehyung clinged his arm on Jungkook's shoulders.

Jungkook couldn't help but smile widely at Taehyung's question. To the point where others could see an imaginary twinkling stars in his eyes.

His friends immediately gave him a worried look as the guy looked like he just flew back to dreamland.

"I'm raising the bet on Jungkook giving the confession instead of Lisa." Hoseok handed 18 dollars to Namjoon.

"Me too." And Jimin handed 15 dollars.

Taehyung handed his 50 dollars to Namjoon without even giving a look on his pocket.

"He fell and hit his head hard. I'm betting all my assets."

As soon as the dismissal bell rang, Jungkook jumped off of his seat and left their classroom despite their teacher could even stop him.

Taehyung, Jimin, and Hoseok handed another 50 dollars to Namjoon.

As for Lisa, she quietly walked out of her classroom with Jennie but they immediately stopped at their tracks when they saw Jungkook at the end of their hallway walking towards them.

"Will you look at that? Looks like another romantic movie scene." Jennie crossed her arms over her chest.

Lisa only gave her a pout. Jennie pinched her cheeks and mouthed 'cute' on her face.

"Hi." Jungkook greeted them.

Jennie immediately reads the situation and faced Lisa, "I still have to run some errands at a convenience store. I'll see you tomorrow!"

She waved goodbye and left Lisa with a disbelief face.

This situation again, Lisa thought.

"Don't worry! I'll drive you home!" Jungkook smiled at her.

And they proceeded towards the parking lot. Jungkook opened the passenger's seat for her and motioned her to put on the seatbelt.

Jungkook took his seat next to hers and told his driver to start the engine.

"So, where's your house?" He asked the beauty.

Lisa gripped her note pad tightly, hesitating to show him.

Jungkook tilted his head, "What's the matter?"

She slowly showed her note pad, "You can just drop me off at the bus bus stop."

"Bus stop? Why? Are your parents gonna get mad if a guy drives you home?" Jungkook concernedly asked but Lisa shook her head.

Jungkook's brows furrowed, "It's already getting dark. Let us drive you to your house directly."

Lisa bit her lips and wrote, "It's okay. I'll let you drive me to my house next time. Please, just drop me at the bus stop."

Jungkook sighed and gave in, "Okay, then. I'll drive you to the bus stop as many times as I can until that next time comes."

He gave her a reassuring smile and motioned the driver to head to the bus stop.

The drive was unfortunately short since the bus stop is basically a walking distance from their campus. It made Jungkook scrunch his nose in frustration.

[A/N: Don't scrunch your nose. You look ugly.]

Jungkook opened the door for her and she hopped out of the car. They stood by the bus stop face to face.

"Thank you for driving me here." Lisa wrote.

"I told you. I'll drive you here as many times as you want." Jungkook smiled.

Lisa bowed as thanks and suddenly went to a different direction. She went inside a dark alley.

Jungkook's instincts worked and grabbed her by the wrist immediately before entering the dark and narrow alley.

"W-Where are you going?" He asked her.

Lisa's eyes widened at Jungkook's action. She looked away and gently pulled her hand back.

"Is your house along this alley?" Jungkook asked.

Lisa nodded and showed him her note pad, "I'll let you walk me to my house next time. I'm sorry!"

"It's alright. I understand but this kind of place..." Jungkook scratched the back of his head.

Lisa cluelessly stare at him.

"I-I didn't mean it in a bad way! I just realized you've been walking home alone in this alley for your whole life." Jungkook immediately denied.

"I'll be fine!" She wrote with a smile on her face.

Jungkook bit his lips and held out his palm, "Give me your phone."

Lisa tilted her head in confusion.

"I'll give you my number so you can just ring me when something happens." Jungkook said.

The girl slowly smiled and went through her bag. She handed her android phone with a bunny phone case to him.

Jungkook couldn't help but get flustered at how cute her stuff was.

He immediately registered his phone number and handed back her phone.

"I'll get going." She wrote and waved goodbye.

"Wait!" Jungkook stopped her in her tracks and suddenly rummaged through his own bag.

Lisa's eyes sparkled when he handed her a gold like metal whistle.

"I bought that way back when I was at the Basketball Club as the captain. But it looked like an accessory so I never used that once." Jungkook explained.

"Use that whistle when you feel like you're in danger. Blow it as hard as you can so I can hear you." He said.

Lisa held the whistle tightly on her hands and smiled at him, telling thank yous to him in her mind.

Jungkook smiled back, "Go on. I'll watch you from here."

The beauty nodded at him and waved her hands once again. She entered the alley while Jungkook stood there, watching her figure getting smaller as she walks further.

Jungkook didn't take his eyes off of her until her figure was just an inch in his sight.

But he managed to notice Lisa's hand waving goodbye at him from the distance.

He waved back and shouted, "See you tomorrow!"
