September 27, 2127-

     We have reached the mantle! Before we breached the basalt at the bottom, Jakob ran a diagnostic test of the ground around us. We started around 50 km above the mantle, right between the Continental and Oceanic crust. Scans were shown that this layer contains various minerals, including the minerals involved in making "Artificial Mithril." We've collected Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic rocks.

     We've turned on the Air Condition since we left the surface, since our scans have also shown that it is about 870°C outside the ship. Good thing we are safe inside this ship, phew! Right now, the density of the rock is around 3.1 kg/m3, which is pretty dense. I think we are close to the lower mantle, so we should do another scan soon. I need to go check the oxygen level, it's getting a bit hard to breathe in here.

September 28, 2127-

     Just finished checking the supplies for anything else, turns out that our air pressure chamber had a tear in it, which got clogged up with dirt. Carter is currently fixing it right now. By the way, I wonder how we are even getting air in the first place, I mean the superstorm must've broken into the oxygen department, right? I shouldn't be complaining about it, though. Hopefully none of the oxygen escaped into the atmosphere. Anyways, it looks like we should be reaching the lower mantle, hopefully Jakob has that scan done. I'll go ahead and talk to Nate, just to see how everything is doing...
