[Audio clicks on. Jordyn's voice seems happier today]

School's finally out. I passed my exams—just barely, but I made it!

Gramps took Niki and I to the ice-cream parlour to celebrate. Rusty and Zinnia were there, which was fun. We all ordered and then went to the park together. Unfortunately, some kid bumped into me and knocked my cone out of my hand, so I didn't get to enjoy my ice cream.

[Jordyn sighs, but with no real sadness]

Ah, well. I'm sure the ants enjoyed their surprise snack.

Oh! And I think Zinnia likes Niki. Every time we all hangout, I catch her sneaking glances at him when she thinks no one is looking. Maybe I'll do a little matchmaking this summer...

[She pauses, then hums quietly]

What else has changed...?

Niki finally figured out how to turn that alarm off. It kinda freaked Gramps out at first, not having it work every time the ground shakes, but I think he's gotten used it by now. And we still haven't sunk.

We're all sleeping better now, too. I'm glad. I don't think I would've passed my tests with the amount of sleep deprivation that came with both the alarm and Niki's insomnia.

But now we're all well-rested, and we can look forward to summer! I'm brushing up on my graffiti skills again; we'll probably be doing a lot of that.

Even if Gramps sometimes gets after us for it.

I wonder, have you changed much, future me? Did you grow out of this "delinquent phase"?

[A faint voice calls out.Jordyn sounds to be standing up]

I suppose I'll know someday. For now, I've got to go.
