Days Later....Barry and Iris walked into the cortex holding hands with each other.

 Where us, the rest of team, was waiting. Including Sherloque, Joe, and Cecile.

Everyone said their condolences and the family shared a hug amongst each other.

"We have to believe that we'll see her again." Joe said keeping his hopes high.Barry shook his head. "Nora... made sure that we didn't lose everything that night.""She saved every meta in the city." Ralph spoke."She gave Grace a new future." Caitlin said."Gave all of us, right?" Sherloque spoke up. "Especially me, without Nora I never would've met the love of my life. Renee.""And you wouldn't have stopped your 38th Cicada." Cisco said. "Or your 39th."Sherloque said his goodbyes and wished us luck before opening a breach and exiting the cortex.Phones buzzed from Cecile and Joe."It's Singh. He wants us to meet him at CCPD, and to bring Barry."Barry looked confused but Iris sent him on his way after saying she wanted to be alone.Cisco and Caitlin nodded to me and Ralph and the four of us left Iris alone in the cortex.As Barry and Iris sat in the time vault reminiscing and looking through Nora's journal something happened.Some sort of computer chip slipped out.

Together the two raced to the podium which held Gideon."Wait." Iris said."Damian." Barry said before leaving in a flash and returning just as fast with an extra body.Damian hurled over. 

"I hate that so much. Now I understand what Diggle meant."

"You know Diggle?" Barry asked."Yeah, where'd you think I was during my absence?""Back home?" Iris asked."Yeah, back home in Star City. I was working with Oliver." I said. "So, why'd you bring me?""Huh." Barry raised his eyebrows and pressed his thumb as the drive sunk into the podium and a screen flashed across the top revealing Nora.

"Hi, mom and dad, and I'm guessing Damian is there too. If you're watching this, it means that something went wrong but I don't want you guys to be sad. I'm not. I always wanted to be a hero, to use my abilities to help people. That's why I came here. To meet my family. Stop Cicada, fix the flash's legacy."Barry put his arms around Iris and Me."And save him from disappearing in the future. I believed I could do the impossible, but I never imagined it would turn out like this. Full of love, and heartbreak. I'm glad it did. I wouldn't change anything about my time with you, Damian, or my sweet parents, the most important people in the world. I wish I could be there to celebrate every new chapter."A tear fell from my face slowly."To witness every success. Just know, that no matter where I go in my life. You'll always be by my side. Because of you, I know I will never be alone, and I will feel your love and support like a warm hug. Comforting me. Wishing me to be the best person I can be. Thank you for everything. For making me a hero and for loving me even though I wasn't perfect. Please remember that I love you both. And I always will. No matter what the future brings."She paused to wipe tears from her face."Damian, even though I wasn't your soulmate. I know you were mine."I swallowed and let the tears flow."Stay safe and stick together. I love you guys." Nora said before the screen went black.I patted Barry on the back before exiting the time vault to give them some space and to get some air of my own.One week later. I picked up the picture of Me, Barry, Iris, and Nora from the nightstand and rubbed my thumb across it.I put it in my backpack before heading towards the front door.I walked the short distance to Barry and Iris's apartment.Back to where it all began.I opened the door and saw the whole crew hanging around talking.Everyone stopped and stared as I entered. I felt the atmosphere change to that of sadness as I set my backpack down.Joe was the first one to come over and shook my hand followed by a quick hug. "You're family, Damian. Whenever you need us."I looked at everyone.Tears were threatening to be shed."Don't cry, there's been enough tears this past week already." I said.A small laugh echoed, and sniffles were heard."Where will you go?" Cisco asked as him and Kamilla held hands while he took a drink of champagne."Ever since I got my powers, I've done it with a team. Friends. A family." I said to them. "I need to go off on my own. Find out who I am, and what's out there for me. Nora." I started To Get choked up. I wiped a tear as I continued. "Nora taught me that you can find amazing things in the least likely of places."Caitlin crossed the floor quickly and gave me a hug. "You're going to do great things. I'll miss you."Ralph followed suit and gave me a bro hug with a quick miss you before Cisco stepped up. "What am I going to do without my nerd bro?" He asked giving me a hug. He patted me on the back. "Stay safe."I looked at Barry and Iris who were shedding tears as they embraced. "We've lost so much, it sucks that we have to lose you too." Iris said."I'll be back before you know it." I said to them."If you ever need to come back. There's always a place for you here." Barry said to me. "Promise me.""I'll come back. I promise."My phone buzzed in my pocket.

"You coming?"The crew looked at me puzzled."You good?"I nodded and smiled. "For the first time in a while I feel like I know what I have to do." I flicked my wrist without looking and pulled open the window."Be there in five." I quickly sent back."See ya around Flash." I said to him. "But I got a plane to catch."I crossed the floor in a couple strides before flipping out the window and catching the building across the street with my webs.

As I launched into the air, I took one last look into the window of Barry's apartment before swinging through downtown towards the airport.If there's one thing I knew for certain.I would be back.I landed softly on the ground at the private airstrip where a private plane was being prepared for takeoff. It took a lot of convincing to not stay, but Oliver Queen finally cracked and hooked me up with the jet.A girl stood next to the stairs of the plane waiting for me to arrive."Took you long enough." She said giving me a soft smile and together we boarded the plane."Whole lot of planet." I said to her. "Where to first?"She smiled at me. "I have an idea." She said standing up to speak with the pilot.Shortly after, the plane lifted off the runway and looking out over the city I saw the familiar flash of red and gold as he sped through the city.If there was one thing, I was certain about.My story was just beginning.
