"Is that my suit?" Barry asked looking at me and looking back at the empty mannequin.

I smirked. "Do you like it? Nora helped me make it."Barry looked at Nora who was smiling.

"I really liked that suit." Barry said frowning. "Anyway, what are we gonna do about Godspeeds Ultimatum?""We have to give him what he wants, organic speed." Nora said as I kicked up my silver boots on the desk.Everyone was shocked by what Nora had just said. I didn't know a lot about this Godspeed figure but Nora had been fighting him for years. She knew him best."Nora, I'm never going to do that." Barry said crossing his arms."Dad, everything will be destroyed." Nora pleaded. "Not just Bart, but whole families, and when he finds out I perfected Velocity. He'll come for Damian too. We have to protect them."What about our family?" Barry said to her. "If Heart is Bart's Thawne, that means he's already caused Bart a lifetime of suffering and pain. But we can stop this, here, in this time by finding another way."But we've tried everything dad, and nothings worked. And now Bart's dying, and we're still no closer to ending this damn war!" Nora and her parents argued back and forth. This Nora was a lot more argumentative than the last one."Nora, honey, if his clones could do this to your brother, then what do you think would happen if we gave Heart organic speed." Iris said and she had a point."It just all feels hopeless, Nora said finally giving up." She cried, I had a feeling that had a double meaning after all. She never told anyone about what Godspeed took from her that drove her hatred for him."It never is. Promise you that." Jay said speaking up."He's right. As long as we're still standing, we can still win this. Let's go check on your brother." Iris said as her and Nora left into the room to see Bart.Leaving just Jay and I in the cortex. "Kid?" Jay said to him.

Barry turned to him."I know giving Heart his powers back is crazy but if we don't, we'd better come up with another idea." Jay said considering all our options. "A big one.""Not a big one." Barry said looking at me. "A fast one."I choked on my spit and stood up. "Are you talking about?"Barry nodded to me. "Okay, Damian." I heard Jay say to me as I ran through the speed track. "Incoming."It came quicker than I expected and I immediately slid under the barricade and kept running."Heads up." He said as one came out of the ground that I easily mantled."Here it comes." He said to me as a ball of lightning came hurtling towards Me.I was too slow As it struck me into the chest and sent me spiraling down the ramp at his feet.He helped me to my feet as I dusted myself off. "You see things slower than the human eyes to begin with, then you get speed and it's still not enough to see that coming.""Mr. Garrick." I said politely. "I just got these powers. "I'm trying my best."He patted me on the back. "You're doing great kid. You can phase semi decent, you got the lightning bolt down. Let's see what else."Can you teach me a unique ability?" I asked him."A what?""You know, Nora's got her lasso and Bart can throw ninja stars." I said. "And you got your helmet frisbee."He scowled at me. "Did you just call it a frisbee?""Isn't that what it is?" I asked him.He rolled his eyes before he smiled at Me And looked at my vitals. "I got something in mind, you ready?"I bounced up and down. After taking The Velocity 10 it felt like my Hand has increased tenfold."What you want me to do coach?" I asked as lightning danced around the bottom of my feet."You're going to run around the track as fast as you can, generating as much electricity as you can throughout your body and when I say, you're going to come off the ramp and do a massive barrel roll releasing all that lightning throughout the room." Jay said as he disappeared and returned with four test dummiesNot going to lie this sounded like fun.I took off through the speed track, blue lightning spiraling around the track through the glass.I could feel it in my blood as the lightning began to arch around my body as it bounced around the speed track."Now!" Jay yelled.I flew down the ramp and jumped into the air twisting my body around at high speeds and released the lightning.As one would assume it struck all the right marks, but also managed to find the electronics short circuiting everything else.Jay stood up slowly covering his head before he began laughing."Damian, that was a fine job. We'll have to work on the accuracy a little bit but you'll get that down in no time.""Actually, Mr. Garrick." I said to him. "I don't know if I'm going to keep my speed when all of this is over.He looked at me confused. "You've been granted an amazing gift. Why would you even think about giving it up?"I shrugged and put my hands over my head pulling the mask backwards. "You know, I was normal for so long and then DeVoe's satellite gave me these powers and if I take this speed I'll be turning my back on them. Those powers make me who I am."He shook his head. "You were never normal. The world has put things into motion. From the death of your mother, to becoming a scientist, to your spider powers, to Nora, to Thea, to becoming a speedster." Jay said to me. "As much as you want to, you don't get to make your own future. The speed force sets these choices in motion for you to take Velocity whether you like it or not.""The Spider, it made me who I am." I said to him. "I was nothing without it."Jay looked at me. "If you're nothing without those powers then you shouldn't have them. Your heart makes you who you are." He said pushing a finger into the lightning bolt across my chest."Are you seriously going to movie quote me about my powers?" I asked him. "You're a speedster, a hero, how did you even have time to watch that?""I had a lot of downtime before I got my speed back.""What happened to the electronics?" Iris asked walking in cutting my conversation with Jay off. "And why are you smoking?""I was teaching." Jay said proudly. "Your friend is a quick learner."He always has been, that's why I was okay with Nora giving him Velocity. I knew it wouldn't corrupt him like it did Hunter and Eliza." Barry said smiling at me. "Besides, your family and every member of the Flash family has had speed at one point."I smiled and looked at my feet with all the high praise going around. "What's your plan, Barry?" Jay asked.My mind drifted off. We hadn't had word from Cisco, Frost, or Thea since they left hours ago. Were they okay?Of course they were, what am I thinking?"Ever since this war began we've been outfought and outnumbered." Barry said. "That ends now. For all their speed, our opponents, no matter how fast they are, they can't outrun a force of nature."Thunder cracked and electricity danced as the speed force exploded into the room.

"Big Nora. It's so good to see you." XS said running forward. "Yeah, we already met." She said to Barry.

"Remember when I first saw you? I was like, oh my gosh the freaking speed force. And I was just so amazed and- and nervous. And I just kept rambling on and on and on and totally embarrassing myself because she.."Nora rambled on like she always did, glad to see that never changed across time."It's good to see you too, little Nora." The speed force said to her. She looked at me. "You too, Damian."I nearly choked on my spit again. Wow I do that a lot."Excuse me?" I asked but was immediately ignored. First Bart, then Nora and now the speed force? What were they keeping from me?"This is a rare pleasure, ma'am." Jay said to her. "And if I may, you look a whole lot like someone very close to me."The speed force nodded. "I get that a lot." She turned to Barry and Iris. "Barry, Iris. It's good to see you again.""Are the others coming, too?" Iris asked hopefully."No. With me here the others are all working overtime to keep the universe in balance. I've seen what you've all been facing. I've Been fighting it myself within the speed force. Now, you all need to be at full strength in order to defeat this threat, which is why whether you're a full speedster, an artificial one, or even have just a spark of the speed force inside of you." She said looking at me and Iris. "I'm going to give you all a boost." The Speed Force said. "That is if everyone's okay with that."Jay looked at me from across the group and nodded to me.We all nodded our heads giving the Speed Force our permission.She snapped her fingers and lightning began to dance around us. Jay and Barry's, a dark orange, Nora and Iris's their classic purple, mine blue.

"Schway." Nora said looking at me."Yup." Jay said. "That works."I didn't feel any different besides the warm glow that went through my body."Barry. Bart's still." Iris said."I know." The Speed Force said. "Oh, my impulsive boy."The Speed Force closed her eyes and within minutes a flash of gold appeared in the room and a silver suit slid in next to me."Whoo! I'm back." Bart said clapping his hands."Bart!" The family said giving him a hug which I successfully ducked myself out of."Hi, did you miss me?" He asked. "Did you miss me?" He asked fake pouting. "Oh, thank you for the reboot, S.F.N." He said pointing at the speed force. "Woah, Damian nice suit. It's definitely the coolest suit.. next to mine of course."I nodded at him.Barry looked at Bart confused as he stretched."Speed Force Nana. Uh, it's.. it's our little thing." Bart said. "Oh, somebody redid my nails. It must've been Caitlin."Bart looked up and his face immediately fell as he saw Jay.I connected the dots right there, Godspeed killed Bart's Jay."Uncle Jay. You're- you're here." Bart said."Uncle?" Jay asked. "That's new. Um, yeah I kinda like it." Jay said fumbling over his words. "It's good to finally meet you, Bart.""Yeah." Bart said regaining his composure.Nora nodded at him for support."All right. What's next, pops?" He asked Barry.Barry stood tall and I felt another one of his attempts at a pep talk coming on. "We end this Civil War. Once and for all."Sorry to kill your thunder, but I gotta make a call Real quick." I said to Barry.Barry nodded and smiled. "I figured you'd be the last one ready."I looked at my phone. Nine missed calls from Thea."Oh lord." I said to myself. "This may have been worse than missing calls from my dad when I was in high school.I dialed her back and waited for her to pick up."Oh look who decided to answer." Thea's voice said as the sounds of arrows and ice whistled through the air."Yeah sorry, there's a lot happening back here at base. Something you'll never believe happened." I said to her."I've seen some crazy things, Damian. Nothing surprises me anymore.""How's it going out there?" I asked her."Well besides mopping up these Godspeeds and apprehending these fugitives that broke out of Iron Heights." Thea started. "It's going fantastic, turns out Frost is super cool. Not as nerdy as Caitlin. Can we stay in Central City when this is over? It's growing on me.""Yeah, of course we can. We still have my mess to figure out.""Oop, gotta go." Thea said as the line went dead.Well at least she was alright. She had some serious crime fighters helping her out.Bart strolled into the lounge."Oh hey, Damian." Bart said to me as he went behind the counter and opened a bottle of tequila."Um, aren't you a little young to drink?" I asked him."There's no drinking and running rule is there?" He asked setting out two shot glasses. "Besides it doesn't affect us anyway. I just like the taste."I raised my eyebrows at him as he poured the shots. "You are crazy."He shrugged. "I got my dads impulsive side. It is what it is."I rolled my eyes at him. "To victory.""To victory." He said as we threw back the shots. I winced and almost gagged shaking my head.Bart did too and I knew that wasn't what he had thought it was but I didn't bring it up."So, are you going to be the one to tell me why you, Nora, and the Speed Force have been acting so strange around me."He shook his head rapidly and put a finger on his nose. "No can do, I called not it."The alarms began blaring.Bart shrugged."Time to get to work."
