Call me if you need anything, love you!" He yelled into the apartment before once again we disappeared in a flash of orange.We arrived in the cortex where the entire team jumped up and yelled. "Welcome Home!" With a banner strung across the ceiling."Seriously?" I asked Barry. "This is overkill. "Nah, come on. I brought waffles from Brussels." He said fake pouting.I rolled my eyes. "Fine, I'll deal with it.""Plus, it gives you a chance to meet the new team members." He said shrugging.Thea didn't need to be told twice and was already chatting away with Frost and Allegra across the room by the original Flash suit.I leaned against the main desk and accidentally bumped the security button as a surveillance video of Barry break dancing in the center of the room appeared on the screen.

Barry said to her.I quickly went and stabilized Barry by holding him up."Come on, let's get you to the med lab. Chester, can you call Iris?" Caitlin asked."No, no. She's still at home sick. Let her rest." Barry said waving Chester off. "Frost and Thea are still out there helping. Barry said also still shocked."When you have three Mark of Fours in the same place." Diggle started. "There's a big problem. So I volunteered. We're fighting a war Barry, I know something about that."And with a battle tested solider like you on our side, we're gonna win." Cecile said smirking."What does it do?" Thea asked stepping up to the case.Diggle pulled the device from the case and walked over setting it on the ground. "This motion detected plate has the response time of a picosecond." Diggle walked back to us and clicked a button on the device. It turned purple. "Now it's live. Hey, do you mind handing me that thing?Chester excited that he was getting to help Spartan rushed over and grabbing the glowing sphere. Diggle threw it and it hung suspended in the air.Barry and Cecile argued back and forth before it turned to Barry and Diggle discussing bringing an enemy into the house ultimately to which Diggle agreed before wincing in pain and gripping his hand."You good?" I asked helping him regain his composure.He nodded and I noticed Cecile trying to read his emotions.Nothing.He nodded and stood up.Within the hour Barry had successfully trapped and apprehended a defeated Godspeed clone and placed him into a pipeline cell.I had my feet up on the desk sitting next to Chester as Diggle, Thea, Caitlin, and Cecile watched from in front of the desk.Barry and Godspeed were discussing about their motives and what was going on, how the Godspeeds were searching for August Heart. He almost had Barry joining his side until he mentioned killing Heart. "Then know this Flash, anyone who stands in our way will die with him.""Uhh Caitlin." I said pulling up biometrics. "I can't read this.""Barry, uh Godspeeds biometrics show he just tapped into his speed." Caitlin said to him as I took off running down the hall towards the pipeline.Allegra and I both rounded the corner at the same time to hear glass shattering and the sounds of vibrations echoing in the hall."Hey, enough." I yelled at the Godspeed. Running at a speedster wasn't my best choice in the world but he backhanded me into the wall."Let him go!" Allegra yelled hitting the Godspeed with a microwave blast.Barry helped me to the feet as Allegra helped Diggle.Barry was frustrated, in a terrible mood and Chester wasn't helping it by telling him he couldn't fix it as he blew up."Allegra, Chester, Damian." I said meeting him in the pipeline. I was winded from running this way. "If you see her. He nodded at me. "I will."I turned and ran back catching up with Diggle and the others where Diggle had clearly experienced another headache, Cecile was writhing in pain too as Thea tried to help them both up."Cecile are you okay?" I asked her. "Okay, John, buddy that was a hell of a lot more than a headache. It felt huge more like infinite." Cecile said to me."John, maybe you should stay back." Thea said to him.He shook his head as he stood to his feet. "No, if there was something really wrong, the doctors in Gotham would've found it." He said pressing the elevator button. "Whatever it is, I can handle it when we're done here.We entered a dark alley way to find a Godspeed torturing a man.I sat on top of a perched roof while Thea split up with Cecile and Dig on his own."Hey Casper." Dig yelled raising his gun and taking a shot.The Godspeed put a hand to his shoulder."Nanites." Dig said. I asked them showing it off.I had Chester turn my black suit into red, the majority of my body etched with black webbing and the blue that covered the trim of my body.

I said seeing the look of determination in his eyes.We eventually found a man hiding behind a dumpster scared of us but when asked he had no memories of who he was and why the building he was at was important to him.I decided to skip the meeting as they debriefed about Heart as I fell into a daydream staring at Nora's journal on the desk. I picked it up and looked through it. Writings I couldn't make out, translations that were used in helping find Heart. A picture slipped out and onto my lap. I examined it. It was a picture of me and Nora smiling as she had buried her head into my shoulder looking up at the camera. A small tear fell from my eyes. If this book was immune to temporal changes, did Nora know what was going to happen? Did she stash a picture of me in her journal to remember who I was in the future. The future where she was alive. I snapped back into it placing the picture back in and the journal on the desk as they discussed Iris going through a temporal Anomaly as Deon continued to try to stabilize her. "So, how much time do we have until they come back?" I asked Chester.He crossed to the computer and slid the chair I was seated in, to the other side of the desk.I rolled my eyes. "I just finished the algorithm. Turns out their coming back exponentially faster every time. At first it was eight, then four, now. If we're lucky, ninety minutes." Chester finished."You're leaving?" Barry asked as me, him, and Thea entered the room."There's something I've been putting off far too long and it nearly got me killed today. And now I have to deal with it." Diggle said looking at us."I get it, it's just this war." Barry argued."We need all the help we can get." Thea said to him.I had traveled a lot of places, seen a lot of people. I knew what was happening to Diggle."Guys, you think I don't know that. And as much as everything inside of me want to stay and fight in my heart and would, man, I know I can't put this off any longer.Barry nodded in understanding and the two hugged wishing each other luck."How are my favorite niece and nephew?" The war keeps getting worse. Cecile, with all my speed, I've never felt so Helpless." Barry said sadly."It's okay to be scared, Barry. And Angry but I just need you to leave a little bit of room for hope." Cecile reassured him."I hate to admit it Barry but you got Jack Frost, Robin Hood, Mantis the empath, Microwave, and I roleplay as a spider." Damian said crossing His arms. "I hate to say it but we need some serious help, they're too fast for us.""I'm going to get check in with Chester, he's been trying to reach Joe."I'm gonna head home. Keep your head up." Damian said to Barry before Cecile and Damian left the speed track room together.Barry sat in silence for a minute before a flash of purple entered the speed track room.Barry immediately looked at Nora and back to where Damian had just been standing before He brushed it off and ran to his daughter.

"You and Iris?""Umm, not exactly but hey if you're happy to see me. Then you're going to be twice as happy in just a second." She said stalling as a flash of yellow smoked into the room."Whoo!"
